  1. hey guys, im new to the skyline scene, i was jsut wondering, what are the specific differences to the motors from different models? being like 32,33,34? different castings? are they the same layout to do with headbolts? i dont even know where to start, are they just asthetically different? with the main structure, casting being the same? any info would be greatly appreciated regards Lionel
  2. i stand corrected....
  3. thanks for the reply guy, as far as i was aware, coming form word of mouth though, 32gtr calllipuers are cast alloy, not iron, and the 32gtr brakes then became standard issue for the r33 series, with the 33gtr being bigger again. anyways, yeah it was the toe arms i was referring 2, the ones that the hicas rack replace on a non hicas frame. im handy with a MIG so i could brace my own subframe (non hicas) and use 32gtst LCAs' and a r33gtst setup for brakes and hubs. i was just hoping i could use a complete item but the difference i experienced from hicas to non hicas really is stuck in my mind and would be a point i would consider overlooking the gtr frame for.
  4. I am currently chasing myself a R32 GTR subframe, and have used the usual avenues (wreckers) to which i have since found out cant be looking for what im searching for as they told me they are chasing a R32gtr subframe non-HICAS model to which i find out doesnt exist. Im a member on the silvia equivelant site NS.com and own an s13 model car. Is the same technique used for locking the hicas on an R32 as on S13s' namely ebing the HICAS lock bars? I changed my HICAS subframe to a non HICAS s13 subframe previously but now with to 'upgrade' to the GTR gear, namely to get the brakes diff options, and thicker halfshafts (these arent the only reasons). i realize the easier route would be to go a 32gtst subframe and then upgrade the brakes and the rest but i wish to start with the better gear anyways as thats how i do things (odd i know). Is there anything else that can be done, as the reason i changed my subframe and jsut didnt get the lockbar is because nissan would have just used a lockbar on there non hicas cars if it was as good as the proper subframe with rear traction arms. HICAS the only fix? thanks for any help guys/gals
  5. well thats what i originally thought aswell, as all of them i have seen are HICAS equipped. I posted here as ive been unable to locate any through wreckers, in south east qld and im getting annoyed. hicas lock bars are poor excuses to replace a proper control arm, i had originally gone to the extent of changing my current 1 to a non hicas item but now want to 'upgrade' but it might not be such a thing thanks for the heads up
  6. Chasing R32GTR Rear subframe, must be non-HICAS with hubs, discs, callipuers, lower control arms, diff. if you only want to sell complete will consider but i dont necessarily need camber arms or toe arms, or the sway bar. Hit me with what you got, i may take less if its all i can get regards Lionel
