will do, think Ive got a mig welder tip that is about .9 - 1mm, just need to machine it to size. The speed flow fittings cost me $220. that was for braided line for oil n water, adapters, 45 & 90 degree oil fittings, three of 90 degree water fittings & a couple of other little adapters.

thanks cubes, I got speed flow fittings the other night so ill have to make an inline restrictor to suit, what size did you go for? bout 1mm should do it you reckon?

might give garrett a call n check it out from the horses mouth I spose, If anyone should know you would think they would. Thought id heard somewhere along the line that you needed to slow the flow down or they can be inclined to puff a bit of smoke.

who running a GT35R using speed flow fittings put a restrictor in the line to slow down the oil flow? Is this needed?

So far so good I think, still got my aac & cold start valve operating, been through the new loom, traced all the wires, tagged & numbered. Got the motor in the other week so I can run the loom, many hours of torture coming I think.... Couple of weeks n should be running with any luck.

Nah, bought the stand alone, figured changing heads to the 26 I might as well make a new loom to suit different plugs etc. Another challenge to throw into the mix I spose..... Cant wait to get this thing running, hopefully in the next few weeks should finish all the little bits off. Guess I'll find out then if the tacho wire is gonna work (fingers crossed!)

Havnt fired her up yet, just got the donk in last weekend. I am just trying to think of the teething issues.... I figure with the standard loom removed there will be no reading to go to the tacho, thats why I was wondering if you just hook up the tacho wire from aftermarket ecu (autronic sm4 in my case) to the wire from pin seven off the standard computer? does that sound about right? where does the standard tacho pic up its reading? Anyone care to tell me how to get my standard dash tacho working? Im running Autronic SM4, do I just interface the tacho wire from the Autronic to the wire from port 7 on the standard ecu? Surely I cant be the only one to encounter this when not using standard ecu. Cheers!

R33 GTR came with Brembo brakes...... those little fella's seem to be what hangs off GTSt as standard.

Has anyone removed the bungs from the oil gallery that feeds the mains? there is one in each end of the block between oil & water pump, seem to be about 12mm diameter solid steel pressed in (not a welsh plug). I have removed them from an old RB30 block by drilling out, before I do it on my good block I want to make sure you can get a replacement. Anyone know about this?

fair enough. Good price still, new lip = $1000ish, bar = $585, reo is dear as buggery & so is the grill. indicators are $200ish ea as well. makes for a cheap front conversion for Gtst.

Im making my own low mount, GT35R, Got my flanges all drawn in cad (as close to match ported as possible-RB26), & laser cut using 12mm plate for all 3 flanges & steam pipe bends. Will take some pics when I start it. Do have a spare set of flanges to if anyone is interested, also have the cad drawing to get more cut if needed.

Can anyone recommend an oil cooler to suit RB30? good one with thermostat etc.

Question... Using Autronic SM4 in my 33 GTSt (not fitted yet). Looking at my old computer/loom, what needs to stay??? Does the std ecu have to stay connected for a/c, dash, any other ancilleries or can I just cut the loom out all together? I seem to have other wires coming from my std loom going to wiper motor (and some other little orange box back there) not to mention that wires head back from the loom towards the fuse box etc. Anyone else have any of these issues when changing computers?? Cheers for any ideas.

Anyone using cooling pro intercooler from Just Jap? looking at the GTR style tube n fin, just wanted to know if the internals are any good or just a bit of shit? Anyone got one, or pics of inside one? Cheers!
