who's using an ATI RB26 balancer? question I have is weather you can get away with using the std RB25 power steering pump/pulley which is only 3 grove belt with the RB26 harmonic balancer using 4 grove pulley. I know the std pump needs to be spaced forward roughly 6mm, anyone had success with this or do you have to have a 4 grove pulley?? anyone made up a pulley for the RB25 pump?

what size restrictors do you recommend? Ive got an N1 pump with collar & ATI balancer, I havnt got any restrictors yet. I have removed the old ones. why change the relief spring?

Anyone got a S2 RB30 block/motor for sale? must be std bore, Brisbane area. Ive managed to stuff the threads in a few of the head studs while tapping out to suit RB26......not cool.....

Sweet, Thanks guys! I had a feeling the power steer pully was 4 groove on GTR n only 3 on Gts. Does the A/C belt still line up fine with the same belt type? wasnt sure whether I had to buy GTR power steer pump or just get modifed pully, or still just run the 3 groove belt. How much did you have to shim it out R33 Racer? Thanks for the prices Al, where did you get yours from?

Hey guys, Question. What harmonic balancer has anyone been using other than std RB25? been lookin at ATI, any recomendations on this? anyone know where to get one from in Bris? Also, anyone done any sump mods with trapdoors, extra volume etc? curious on swaybar clearance & design. Thanks!

Thanks for the info, just using the std RB26 head gasket (think its actually 1.28mm) gasket is pretty close to 87mm I think, planning on O ringing. Think I might stick with the flat tops to be safe.

Hey Spool, you got any specials on your RB30 CP pistons coming up? have the 9:1's got a 6cc dome? My 26 head seems to have 65.5cc. It would seem that using flat tops would give me a comp ratio of 7.88:1 with a .0 deck height, 1.2mm head gasket, 0.5mm oversize. taking the 6cc dome of the 9:1's (if im right) I would actually end up with 8.5:1. Any extra info would be good. Thanks, Matt

quick question, how does the RB30 go for a legal transplant in Qld? dont know if this has been covered before. Is it just a case of getting a mod plate? anyone know the ins n outs?

25mm (25.4 on the actual spec) fits spot on!

Timing belt setup: I picked up a Dayco 94830 belt today, 149 teeth in the 8mm pitch we need. Fits a treat, 11mm between the teeth with the 2 tensioner bearings in the low low setup. Still clears the lower cover, but only just... nothin a quick massage with the gentle persuader didnt fix, now theres heaps of clearance (5mm ish) All the timing marks line up perfectly. Belt cost $35.00 + $15.00 to get it here (direct from Dayco through Coventry) Hope this helps.

Hey Scooby, yeah, pitch is the same as std RB30 belt, Im 99% gonna use the 149 tooth option with the low low 2 tensioner setup. Gives that bit more clearance between tensioners. My local Repco doesnt stock dayco, gonna try get one tomorrow elsewhere.

RE: Belt sizes. Just been looking on dayco.com.au, heaps of belt options. 94843: 153 teeth, STP8M pitch, 25mm wide (not that it needs to get any longer) 94407: 152 teeth, STP8M pitch, 25mm wide 94604: 151 teeth, STP8M pitch, 25mm wide 94777: 150 teeth, STP8M pitch, 23mm wide (this belt is equiv to gates t306,150 teeth) 94830: 149 teeth, STP8M pitch, 25mm wide (pretty much spot on for low low setup) 94109: 148 teeth, STP8M pitch, 25mm wide 94652: 147 teeth, STP8M pitch, 25mm wide (getting a bit short....) Hope this helps a few people, Im gonna work out the best one for the low low tensioner setup for mine, will post up results.
