  1. awesome. thanks heaps guys for all your help
  2. oil pumps! are they any good?
  3. this may be tru, but this one is alot higher on the "reality of happening" scale.
  4. i know....it was a tough choice but i've had my mind set on getting a 180 drift car for a while...
  5. my cousin has recently purchased a 34 GTT with a 2.5 neo motor. i'm sure i remember reading somewhere that the oil pumps in the neo motors were renouned for failing? can anyone shed some light on this for me?
  6. It is with great sadness that i announce the departing of my beloved 1989 R32 GTST Type M 4 Door. I've had the car for just over 12 months, and have loved every minute of it. I went from a 1992 Suzuki Swift GLX sedan 1.6L, to the gtst, and mark my words..what a change! powerless 1.6L front wheel drive (which still chopped civics!) to a 2.0L turbo'd rear wheel drive with completely different handling characteristics, and power dynamics. I am at this stage swapping the vehicle for a 180sx which i will be turning into a drift pig. She will be missed. I will continue to be a member of this site because i will eventually be getting my hands on a gtr. Every time i see a fellow skyliner i will be sure to wave/flash lights/honk because all of you guys are awesome and have helped me out of some sticky situations. I thank you all so much, and hope to see some of you guys on the drift track!
  7. hcr32-025494 Thanks mate!
  8. i agree....STICKY!!!!! Yeah GTSt has slapped me around so bad i now have some common sense and have actually sat down and thought about it. At the moment its not my best option to get another car...i mite even opt for a 32 GTR (love that shape) and then just work it a little bit eventually..but who knows..i just know for now i need to focus on getting my life sorted
  9. just thought i'd get back into this forum since i started it! Look i'll have the final word on this (if someone wants to continue the thread feel free) but after reading everyones imput..it would be best for me to sit back for a while...look at my options..and go from there..rather than charging in and trying to do everything at once...and to the person (can't remember post name) who said "your probably not even getting married etc" for your information i am.....we've been engaged for almost a year and have set a date so that we have time to work everything out and not feel too rushed to organise everything
  10. i know this is a completely different issue but this post just jogged my memory..in my 89 r32, the passengers side seat belt will sometimes just go slack...its way too dangerous for my liking...like for example my partner will be sitting in the passengers seat with the seat belt being normal, and all of a sudden it just goes slack, she moves and it just goes all loose...anyone got any ideas what this could be? cos i dnt want to have an accident with anyone in the passengers seat and for the seat belt to fail.
  11. ur a genius. I was just trying to get one step ahead of my mates but now (thanks to everyone that has criticised me on this post) that doing it right now would be the worst decision i could possibly make, and i need to think about my future rather than looking good in front of my mates. And you're right. if i plan everything properly i mite still be able to get my dream car eventually. But i need to think about the things that are actually going to make a difference in my life rather than just buying the car i want. Thanks everyone for criticising my choice here. Its helped alot! And you're right i couldn't of said it better myself!
  12. what about my 32 then? its only 7500 and it surely wouldn't cost more than 2500 to transport to WA
  13. not happy..i've got a 32 which i'm selling for 7500 and its a 4 door..only issue is paint...which is not the best..but i'm in nsw
  14. i dnt care how u get it someone just please take it off my hands!
  15. haha..yeah...wat do u guys drive and where are u located?
  16. yeah i'm beginning to come to that sad realisation
  17. ok then...well by the sounds of it i was biting off way more than i could chew...thanks mate no one has explained it like that to me before. and ur not an arsehole..just a grumpy old man! haha! sorry i shouldn't bag u out after u've just given me the biggest realisation of my short life - I CAN'T AFFORD THIS CAR! Thanks heaps buddy! And thanks heaps to everyone else that criticised me! helps alot!
  18. mate if wanna go see her be my guest...
  19. ok...i've got my eyes on a GTR for 56 from japan...and i understand i'm looking at ridiculous amounts of money for 800kw (1000hp) but it'll be an extremely extended project. years..i love the R34 GTR and i am planning on keeping the vehicle for a highly extended period of time. as for your questions: I work for Subaru head office in the customer relations dept, i've been here for 6 months. i dnt live with my parents..i live with my fiance who lives with her parents...current car..hasn't been dynoed but is running 11psi boost....i have been in an r34 gtr, and have driven a 32 gtr and a 33 gtr...and they were both faily stock...and even when i started doing the mods to it, it'd be gradual so i'd make sure i could handle the amount of power i had...and going back to the cost issues..i've got 25k saved..and have access to finance too and i can afford the repayments because i've already discussed it with my bank
  20. wats so hard to believe about me wanting to buy a gtr? wats wrong with that? it'll be atleast 12-18months before i even change the exhaust, or anything..maybe longer. I want to appreciate the car before i change anything
  21. honest..cos i figure i wont have any money to mod it for a little while after buying it
  22. i'm gonna be getting used to the car before i start with any mods
  23. LOL!!!! yeah that would be an idea huh?
  24. At least someone is being decent..i wont be getting rid of the GTR i will keep it for as long as possible. And i'm not getting 1000hp straight up..it'll be a very very very very gradual thing. I want to get as much power as possible out of it....
