  1. Hey man, sorry to hear bout it ay... i know how ya feel... not long ago i returned to my car to find the cnt next to me had his door open into my car - it was pushed so hard that it left a vertical dent about 12cm long and almost 1cm deep... i walked up to him and ripped the door of my car, yer it was jammed into my side... worst of all, the guy sed that it wasnt him!!!! wtf!!! anyways called the cops n went through the usual stuff... and guess wat, nothing out of it really... had to pay for the repairs myself... drives me mad how the system works some times ay... yer my premium is 2500 for the sake that im 18... anyways there's my story so i know exactly how it feels...
  2. hi Filecon, deffinately sounds like a good gb, i am interested in them as well. let us know how you go and what you think when you install them. cheers, Jon
  3. from experience you get the nicest/clearest base if you mount the subs in an more open area, eg the boot itself not the small area next to the battery. now i know you lose boot space, which wasnt really a concern for me but might be for others. it just depends what your after... personally i have 2 12inch pioneer 400watt rms in a box which is facing towards the rear of my 33, but on a slight angle (the way the box is designed) ie subs face slightly upward... im into R&B sorta music so base was pretty important for me... doin it this way i found gives best results! i tried facing them towards the cabin as well as two seperate small boxes on either side but found that there was not enough reverberation (basically echoing and movement of sound waves reflecting off surfaces). because the boot overall is quite small in the r33 (compared to say commodores) it is much harder to achieve the same amount of base. A good way to achieve more base is to use a ported box instead, i myself wil be upgrading to one for my 2 12inch subs soon. apparently you can achieve up to 25% more base out of them! well i hope that helps answer your questions :-s Jon
  4. yer that sounds like a good idea ay... hadnt thought of that... how did you mount down the shelf?? mines actually in two halfs, i cut it straight across just to the left of the windscreen wiper motor, if that makes any sense? :-s
  5. hows it goin all, yer i recently did my parcel shelf + speakers, (bought my r33 5 days ago) i found that 6mm mdf fits neatest. lets you keep the covering for the windscreen wiper motor...
