The les resistance from the lighter oil allows the internals to move faster. In this case, the lighter oil allows the parts to move quicker, however, because it is lighter, it doesnt give the same protection as a thicker oil. Understand?

It wont actually come off... I think you would break it trying to do that. Tried of my old 33 to clean up the lights and it didnt come apart.... So hope that will save you some time... Um btw... Magquires "PLASTIX" will clean up ur head lights (Correct me if i am wrong Mitch)....worked on my 34... What you up to? if ur bored i'll come hang out with you....nothing to do atm

Dont tighten it too much matey. I did this on my old 34 and broke the bolt...very hard to find a new one. Thanks Chris

To be totally honest mate, I have run Royal Purple in 2 of the 3 Skylines i have ever owned. Royal purple is a really light oil which barely lubricates the internals thus giving you more power. They said it increases power...yes...however, they compromise this by allowing the oil to be less restrictive "lighter/not as protective", which in turn allows ur internals to move quicker generating slightly more power..... I would not use this is my car again... And i am not bagging it out.. I just believe its sh!t and makes ur engine very noisy too... Hope my experience helps... If i were you, i'd prob run Penrite "SIN" - Which is 100% Synthetic.... Great stuff OH...BTW - You can get Royal Purple from Autobahn. - Secondly, your car should take anywhere from 4.5L - 5L...I usually put 4.7Ltrs in and run it for an hour around town...usually takes another 100ml. Noosa has traded traffic lights for roundabouts. A simple planning idea to provide "constant flow of traffic", i do however agree a mixture is more beneficial to aleviate high traffic bottlenecks in prominant areas. Still, its never to late to fix the problem. It will just cost alot of money to do so. Perhaps the focus needs to be taken off road infrastructure and the emphasis shifted towards better public transport based on a cbd transport scheme. Chris

Anyone stupid enough to take out there car on a Thursday or Sunday afternoon/night deserves to get defected. Be smart, do what i did...LEAVE IT AT HOME! No wonder the police keep getting you little buggers, you practically drive right to them. Its like watching a mouse find the cheese. I would like to really thank the posters above for thier time and assistance with this. I really should have known better in the first place. This is my 4th Skyline i have owned and this is by far the cleanest looking r34 around. Perfect paint, Perfect interior, not a ding, scratch or bump anywhere to be seen. Clutch seems very smooth, suspension is great, engine doesnt miss a beat. I really think it comes down to the look and feel of the car. Like some of you have said above, does the car really look like its done 150,000km's? IMO, certainly not. I really just wanted to hear what you above had to say about my situation to make me feel better about being all down in the dumps about my purchase. Thank you very much again, means alot to me. Ok....so all said and done. And i do appreciate the input thus far. Do i approach the dealer and ask the question? and see where we go from there? Or do i go above the dealer to else where? Or is there simply nothing i can do about it/sell my car and move on???

Thanks for the help so far. But i am trying to establish if this is legal or if they have broken the law, and where i am to go from here before warning the dealership of my legal activities. Need help still guys... Car read 49K when i bought it 1 week ago. Thanks
