Sorry to dig up this old post, but this exact same thing happened to me today! It was a very warm day in sydney and happened 2-3 times on the motorway when i had the radio & AC on. A/T light would flash and sound on radio would cut in and out.. So is this def an alternator problem? If so; Does it need to be replaced or just repaired? cheers
