Congrats on the purchase mate, was your car a test vehicle for the compliance workshop?

I dont see why you cant store it at your place for a few months. My compliancer used all his plates and wont be getting more until July, mine's been sitting in his workshop for the past 3 months (also a test vehicle). I would rather wait and save the cash and spend it on something useful.

Joe, when you plug your iubi into your Xanavi, does the picture actually display on the Xanavi screen or do you just watch it off the screen of the iubi?

I really love them wheels! Damn expensive though.... I wonder if copies of them are available

Hey Guys, Just thought id post some pics of car...... Its still at compliance now down in melbourne somewhere (being a test vehicle for the workshop, it will be there for some time unfortunately) I cant wait to drive her!!!

I get ya now So there is nothing available at all to get the factory TV etc working besides changing the unit? Reason im asking this is because i dont think i can actually change mine (its got the air con etc.. all in the one unit) so yeh, just wanted to know basically what will and wont work

Ahh! So does this actually convert NTSC to PAL (ie; get the DVD, TV etc. working) or is it something just to get a camera going? Sorry if im asking a question thats already been answered, i didnt quite catch on from the previous posts ......

Where did you guys get this converter box from? Im going to need one with my car when it arrives (its got that satnav/tv headunit too)

Still not in the driveway yet, there was some delays with shipping and the dates were pushed back. The vehicle arrived in melbourne last wednesday and should be on its way to the compliance centre by wednesday. The compliance workshop there has never complied a stagea before, so my car is going to be their test vehicle or something (im happy with that, since i only pay half the amount for compliance), but yeh apparently some guys from canberra have to come down to inspect the vehicle before its released, or something along them lines. So it could be another couple of week wait. I am getting quite anxious though... all i want to do is have a drive of the damn thing!

I got quoted $1800 with custom car insurance (24yo, clean hist, 14k value). As well as age & vehicle excess, they also have a non-listed driver excess of $5000. Just car was the cheapest so far at $1509. Mite give Famous insurance and shannons a call in the next few days

Whilst on the topic of Xenon lights, my car will be getting complied in a few days. As they will be replaced, what is the best way to save them? Ie: I want to put them back on after the vehicle is complied so how should i tell the compliance guy to cut the wiring or whatever they do to replace the light? I want to be able to easily just put it back on. I hope im kind of making sense here?

Driving down would be something i would love to do, unfortunately work commitments prevent me from doing so, and also i prefer to change the cars fluids etc. before i take it long distance for the first time which leaves me no option but to truck her up here. I'll give TNT a call today and see how much they want from me

Hey Guys/Gals, Not long till my stagea arrives now, unfortunately it will be landing in melbourne as it will be complied there also. Just wanted to know whether those who had to transport there vehicle from interstate could shed some light on approx how much it costed them and what company they went with. I got a quote the other day from Melbourne to Sydney (my doorstep) which they said would be $450, is that a reasonable price? Yunis
