  1. Ok cheers! I have included most of that info in my ad, so i'll just see how everything pans out p.s Theres no probs with the mortgage, but to keep a Skyline on the road and maintained properly isnt a cheap task.
  2. I plan on putting my 96 R33 S2 Gtst up for sale in the Trading Post over the weekend, and although I know what I'd like to get for it (around $15k), theres a certain urgency for the sale because of a mortgage. Just wondering what would be a reasonable price for the R33? S2 GTS-t, manual, 91000kms, serviced every 5000kms, 2nd owner since import, MP3 headunit, new tyres, stock everything except for some Volk GT-N's, Apexi pod and an Excedy HD clutch. cheers!

  4. I've posted an ad over in the Boostcruising forums with a couple of pics Ad and pics here
  5. Cheers man! Looks like a bit of a shithole, but I have heard they do a good job (with all the business they get from the yards anyway) Has anyone had experience with Wizard Auto Salon?
  6. Just after a good detailer on the the NW coast, preferably in the Burnie area. Anyone know of any?
  7. Anyone with an R33 S2 must know what I'm on about. When attempting to clean the dash (the part with the rough surface around the headunit etc), it shreds most cleaning implements and as a result, leaves tiny little bits of snagged crap all over the surface. I did use a vacuum and a brush attachment previously, but that really just moved the dust and whatnot around instead of picking it up. Has anyone got a method of cleaning this part with effective results?
  8. Hi Guys, I know there are several threads on ECU resetting, AFM cleaning etc. but I just wanted to know some specifics...yes, I'm a noob. - In regards to ECU reset, does the 'remove neg battery terminal, then pump the brake pedal a few times' trick work for the R33? I've heard that it only works for the R32. - Does the series 2 have an alarm as standard - or just the immobiliser? If so, how can it be disarmed? - I plan on cleaning the AFM this weekend, and got hold of some Nulon brakeclean. Will that do the trick? - After an ECU reset, is it better to take the car for a long run? Do you thrash it or take it easy i.e does it make a difference? cheers!
  9. Gday mate, last time I checked, Autosol was a metal polish I always thought it was the other way around with newer rims (clearcoat rather than not) cheers anyway
  10. Hi guys, I've had my '33 for a couple of months now, and have desperately being trying to find some specific information in regards to cleaning, and more importantly, polishing my dished rims. I have some gold 18" Volk GTN's, and there is quite a large dish at the rear, and a smaller one at the front. I'm fine with the actual rims themselves, but the dishes are an absolute shit to clean, and despite washing and drying properly, they have all of these ugly trace watermarks remaining, not to mention a certain dull sheen. I tend to use Meguiars Hot Rims, which is pretty good for the rim...but doesn't really help the dish. I tried a bit of Autosol (probably not a good idea), which didn't do a damn thing, I'm at a loss. Is my only option, presuming they are clear-coated, to have them stripped of the coat, polished, and coated again, or is there another option. Cheers.
  11. Ok, another quick question for us north westers. Where do you guys go for wheel alignments etc. Probably sounds like a dumb question , but i was told when i got mine done the other day by a large tyre selling company (not naming names), that the excessive wear on the inside of my rear tyres could not be prevented by way of an alignment, because of independant rear suspension...is this bullshit or what??
  12. It hasn't, but its running 18's, and the rear tyres are 265/35's
  13. Hi Ppl, just recently had my r33 serviced, and noticed that the stock boost guage while the car is idle, sits about a quarter the way up the guage (between -7 and 0)...is this normal. I'm pretty sure it stayed at -7 before when idle? Also, at around the same time, I took the car in for a wheel alignment because the rear tyres are wearing on the inside, but then was told that because it was IRS, that nothing could be done. Why would IRS effect camber?? cheers
  14. Hi guys, Thinking of changing back to the stock Airbox, and may finally have found a complete one from an SAU member. I purchased the car with a Pod filter, but am starting to hate the sound as time goes on. Just wondering, is it just a matter of removing the pod and bolting the box back etc. in or is there additional hoses/other components that need to be supplied? cheers!
  15. Anyone else have any recommendations? Also, I'd start a new thread but it's such a waste of space, but I'm looking to get a S2 R33 Stock air box to replace the pod that was on the car when purchased (starting to hate the noise ), so if anyone has one lying around and wants to make a couple of bucks, let me know! cheers!
  16. I have a white R33 with 18" gold Volks Nigel Munday Automotive huh? I'll give him a go...cheers!
  17. Hi ppl, I've just aquired my new 96 R33 GTSt and was wondering whether anyone here could give me some info on what garages on the North West coast (Burnie area) are recommended for work on Skylines. Anyone have bad experiences? Cheers!
  18. Hi ppl, Just about to purchase a series 2 R33 (very stock). I took it for a test drive the other day, and before hand when the hood was opened, I noticed the guy had put on a pod. Being a first time turbo driver, once the car hit around three grand, this annoying sucking sound started to happen. I've noticed it with other cars before and have hated the sound of it in unison with a BOV...so my question is; Would noise be reduced if I were to purchase something like this and insulate it in some way? Then again, would this reduce airflow significantly and be totally useless? Should I just hunt down a standard box. cheers!
  19. Hey does anyone know about the White R33 with 66k kms for sale in Devnoport/Quoiba area? Looks really good...almost too good for the price!
  20. Hi all, I'm on the verge of purchasing not only my first Skyline, but my first turbo...cant wait! Anyway, my question is; what are the essential modifications that need to be done for a stock series 2 R33? I want to keep if fairly simple initially...maybe exhaust and pod (good idea?). Cheers!
  21. Duh! Sorry dude Nice car...still hanging out for an R33 though. Not into overly colourful interiors either...if it was reasonably stock I'd probably consider. GL with your sale/swap/e.o.i.
  22. Is that the Wine Red R32 with the Rb25?
  23. Does anyone know about a Silver R33 with white Starcorp Impul's in the Claremont area...its for sale for around the $18k mark...look really good!
