  1. ive got my turbo now. i really need to find a aftermarket dump pipe to buy asap.
  2. what studs do i get for my rb25-30 to put the new rb25 tensioners on? called nissan but need to confirm which ones to get off them coz no refunds
  3. so they were used bottomends not refreshed or anything with twin cam head and big turbo on them? could i expect anything different considering its got new pistons and bearings? what exactly let go on them? rods bend or pistons break or the bearings finally had enough or what? wanna get more than 1000kms out of my rebuilt one hey. if it was a full slapper i wouldnt give a rats. it was meant to be cheap as shit then i decided to go new rings and bearings to refresh it then found i had to bore it out and new pistons. also got the rb25 head full rebuilt so spent extra $750 more than i planned to there. probably just gunna put standard rb25 turbo on it for now but to get some use then il put the big shit on it and wont feel so bad if it lets go.

  6. just wondering what hp a standard rb25det turbo is rated at.
  7. yer my pistons were $260. only got them coz block wasnt perfect after honing it and had to be bored. was only meant to be refreshing it with the old pistons and putting new rings and bearings.
  8. there only cast pistons so id assume theyre about the same strength as the factory nissan ones. and the bearings wont help it take any extra power would it? the rest is standard nissan stuff. will get more power out of it later. only wanna buy the turbo once but.
  9. hi guys. what power have you done on standanrd bottomend rb30s and on what boost and what turbo? il have mine going soon and wanna know what power you guys have done. mines a rb30 bored 1mm oversize with new mahle pistons and rings and king bearings. standard rods and bolts. has rb25det oil pump on crank collar. what power do you rekn itd do on 18psi with a t04z with split pulse 0.84 rear? hopefully not too much for standard motor. hopefully want it to cop 450rwhp for a while on pump fuel. i dont really thrash my cars everywhere but that might change when i get one with a bitta power. does the ones ripsnz have on youtube saying standard internals have anything done to them special? ones running 25psi plus 100hp shot of nos. its 650whp it says i think. and few other ones with heaps of power and he says there all good for that power. just been wondering if he does any tricks on them to make them last.

  11. i sorta wanna compare gt3582 t3 to t04z t4 housings. just wanna get a rough ideas of the t4 flow rates compared to the gt35 ones coz im sorta up to speed with them ones but am unsure about choosing a t4 housing.

  13. does this mean that you cant just put the tensioners on and away you go when doing the rb25-30 conversion running the twin tensioner setup with one in the new position? is it the new spot that is the problem? or have i got it wrong? never heard about this when getting mine ready. thought i was almost ready to go in a couple of weeks. maybe not now
  14. hi guys. i have been thinking about this for quite some time and cant figure it out properly. is it possible to compare the flow rates of the rear housings of say a t3 0.82 housing to like a t4 housing? say for example something like this. - a t3 0.82 might flow close to a t4 0.63 - a t4 0.84 might flow close to a t3 1.06 sorta like that
  15. hi guys. can anyone tell me what changing the rear housings on the t04z turbos changes the hp ratings to? cant find it after over a hour of googling. what one is the 800hp one and what about the other options?
  16. thanks for that. ordered one of them from repco. $60 payed $152 for 2 rb25 tensioners from a bearing shop and $100 for a water pump from repco, repco brand. just abit of reference for people curious of prices
  17. should i go genuine or aftermarket water pump? what is the part number for the timing belt to use for rb25-30? the guide wont download from the first post in the conversion thread
  18. il get it off ya this week. getting the rest of the stuff i need so il get that off you also later in the week. will pm you sometime what water pumps are you guys using on your rb25-30 motors? do i use a rb30 one or rb25 one?
  19. yer check to see if you have it please. might get it on the weekend just checked. rb30 ones have a o ring to seal it to the motor. rb25 one has a gasket. but i got a gasket in my rb30 bottomend gasket set. might have a o ring in there also but. there exactly the same shape wise. had 2 rb30 ones in the shed but one is crushed and the other the mesh bit is abit broken. will use the rb25 one with gasket
  20. does anyone know if the rb25det oil pickup pipe is the same as the rb30 one or can i use the rb25det one? will be using rb30 sump also i need to get another rb25det harmonic balancer if anyone can sell me one. im on brisbane northside but will get it posted off ya if needed.
  21. is that with a aftermarket computer or the standard one? wouldnt mind getting mine going on the standard one for the moment then putting the aftermarket one in abit later. can do it all now/whenever i want if i really want but would love to get it running again without spending all my money on it. has anyone used the standard ecu on their rb25-30? sorta worried about doing that coz it might be in the rich maps and wont allow the new motor to bed in properly from running rich. piston rings and glazing the bores and crap like that
  22. thinking about lashing out for a garrett gt3582 with .82 rear. only about 550 extra if this dudes still selling them at the good price. tell me a story about how good it will be to help me make up my mind
  23. im buying off the proboost guy. he sells his turbos to a rotary shop and has had his turbos on a few good cars running good times. the gt3582 he sells he can only get the .63 rear housing. its like this one but there now got surge porting. http://www.proboost.com.au/level2.asp?view...lanttype=Turbos this is what the ones he has now looks like if the ebay link still shows the listing anymore http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-SKYLINE-turb...=item19bb2c660d i already have the manifold and wastegate i got off him last year and never used and sold the t04z t3 i got off him at the same time. so im just about to finish the motor and buy turbo again. dunno if il go the gt3582 kit as listed or get the to4z for $785+$90 for water coolded core. thinking i could go the gt3582 kit for $850 then sell the spare wastegate and manifold to make it cheaper. can also get the 3582 with t66 wheel, used to be able to anyway. so id like some info on how itd go with the .63 gt3582. might go that for ultimate response and over 400rwhp but dunno much about turbos to know if it will be a restriction and end up not being that good.
  24. i would be going the .82 gt35 if the guy could do one but says he cant. so its either .63 gt35 or t04z with t3. whats done to your one to have that much power? might just go 17 or 18 psi spring and it makes what it makes. havent picked my tuner yet. will be seeing one guy during the week
  25. im going to get the t04z with 0.84 t3 rear on it. want to get 400-450rwhp for now. how many psi should i run do yous think. i wanna get the spring in my wastegate for what boost i wanna run. dont really wanna go over 450rwhp coz i spent abit rebuilding the bottomend. has mahle cast pistons and king bearings. 40 thou over i believe. will live with the extra lag for now and crank it up more when i get another motor ready or get more money and see what this one will do. only wanna buy 1 turbo so will go the big one straight away. the guy says his 0.63 gt3582 will do 400-430rwhp on 18psi. still would like some info from you guys on how that will go on the rb25-30 in regards to the rear choking up the motor and stuff like that. just went back into my mind about going that one maybe. need info and examples of how itl be off ya to help me decide.
