hi guys. i pulled out my engine a while ago and and now almost ready to put it back in. i have the rubber bits of the engine mounts and the left hand side silver metal bit that goes ontop of the black rubber mount but i noticed i dont have one for the right hand side. it probably had one when i took it out but must have got lost. what are the silver sheet metal bits? can i get a right hand side one seperatly if i really need it? do i really need it? thanks

so they are stretch to yield bolts?

what would be likely to happen if i reused them? i reused them on a rb30 turbo motor a few years ago with 300rwhp. was ok while i had it but didnt use it much before i sold it so dunno how it went

its standard pistons again and genuine nissan headgasket. getting different shop to tune it. talked to one of the main skyline guys and he said 450rwhp should be fine but get the guys im using this time to tune it yer ok il get new ones

hi guys. im putting my rb25det series 2 head back on my rb30 bottomend. need to know what to line the cams up to so there set properly. thanks guys

i didnt install the pistons into the block therefore wasnt responsible for setting the ring gaps. what other stuff is in the bunch of stuff i didnt check?

maybe he gapped em as per the application they were intended for? that being a non turbo rb30. tuner guy said that they have expanded on boost and grabbed. something like that. he also said its common for it to rip the whole top of the piston off when it does it

hi guys. if ya know any good vids off youtube and stuff put em up in here. be good to see em all and we can use em for motivation to keep going and get em running. hope to see a couple o good ones soon to make me go downstairs and do my work

shop put the pistons in. not tuner shop but another engineering shop

another twist on the story... just went to the guy that tuned it and had a talk. i only took one piston in but. had the top ringland broken out and the bottom ringland the bottom broken but still in there abit he talked me through his diagnosis. says its from insufficient ring gap. showed me where it had butted together and says it has grabbed in the bored and the motor had pulled it apart from holding the ring and pulling the rest of the piston down. sound right? sounded right when he went through it with me.

yeah might take the bits somewhere else to see what they say.

the rings arent broken. they still good

thats the way the guy explained it to me. that they broke from too much boost pushing down on them by the rings. dunno what power there rated for. there only n/a replacements. was hoping theyd be same as nissan pistons where ya can make heaps of power on em and lots o boost. nar not gunna contact the manufacturer about them

it did make over 3 times the power than the application theyre made for lol
