  1. I'm jealous of everybody that got to hear the bathurst GTR wail past them. the line up of cars there are brilliant. best track day line up eva..
  2. I am selling a part this week which should give me the money to get this.
  3. come on guys.. look at the date of the thread.. mr Carlos has posted that same message in every single thread that had the words R32 and RB25 in it
  4. a hot piece of 10cm metal is not going to effect the temp of the air being sucked in by a turbo spinning at 100,000rpm. going by that theory, people with full metal intake pipes must blow up engines daily. If you are that worried, you can wrap it with heat wrap for another $5 or get it HPC coated for a few extra dorra
  5. cars are a hobby not an investment.. well some cars that have letter like GTHO or HQ might well be good investments.. but our car's aren't. I doubt you were looking to get the money you spent on it back. You will lose money on it no doubt. but you will make more money in total by taking the car back to stokish and selling the parts off. I'd say looking at those pics there is probably a few thousands worth of stereo which you would make in selling it all compeltely seperate (not as a package) the motor (stick the stocker turbo's back on) would sell for $3K ish or so (is it R32 or R33 rb26?) the turbo kit you could almost make back what you paid for it. those wheels would sell quickly at boostcruising or fastfours or hot4s no doubt. etc etc.. 4 door series 1 skyrine with manual and RB25 back in there in that colour might sell for about $10K then with the sale of your ECU and all other bits, you'd have closer to $20K then you're ever going to see from this car sold as is.
  6. About $17K would be an OK buy from a buyers point of view. Only because I know that I could probably make about $3K in selling the wheels, tvs, boot mounted nightclub and body kit. which should be enough to have the car resprayed in a colour I would want with wheels I would preffer. so in the end it would have cost me $17K to have a practical RB26 powered skyline with good mods. I'm sure you would have spend over $15K more than that in getting the car where it is now.. and as you know, you will never get that back. not even close.
  7. Jebus.. I just opened the box to find a brand new swaybar. pics attached. The price is definitely not negotiable.. $180
  8. search the forums for a pressure tester. basically, you can make it yourself. pump some air in to the intercooler pipes to see if there is a leak anywhere.
  9. Long story short. I was selling something or looking to swap for parts. I got this as part of a trade for what I was selling. AND it is from the house of SK. To be honest with you, I haven't even opened the SELBYS box it came in. Let me take some pics tonight for you of what it comes with. I am located in brisbane (Northern suburbs)
  10. your post is confusing. I assume you are saying that you got a late model R32 2.5 non turbo. so the engine is an RB25DE (not "T") your best bet is turboing the stock engine. have a look at the NA performance section of these forums. there is pretty much a DIY guide in the NA section. DR-DRIFT has also done this conversion with massive results.
  11. Your pipes popped off due to bad clamp or weak wrist while tightening clamp. your car runs like crap now due to the 200m of driving worth of fuel that was dumped on the plugs with no air to mix with. resolution. 1.) use better clamps or use wanking hand to tighten clamps properly (this hand will be stronger). 2.) buy 6 new NGK copper plugs with 0.8mm gap and put them in (wanking hand tightness not required for putting in plugs) as for your other little problems. you have a car with an ecu that was tuned SAFELY for 10 psi through a turbo of size X you now have 12 psi crammed in to it through a turbo that flows 15% more at same boost levels as stock turbo. I'm sure a remap/chip would resolve the little misfires up top etc. speak to Toshi or CEF11E from these forums for remap options.
  12. if it hasn't already been posted, I'm sure there are members here that are members of: ns.com Silviansw.com boostcruising.com performanceforums.com calaisturbo.com all the holden and fold forums. spread the word.
  13. Yes it is. I am actually just looking for sale now. a different intercooler option has come up. I will take a few pics tonight.
  14. Far out... this is horrible. that's a major haul. obviously another Racket happening in sydneytown. They seem to happen in waves. They obviously have a large storage area to keep 3 cars and all these parts. Would insurance even cover these R35 parts? Is there an actual value on them? Hope things work out. a theft this big will surely have decent attention from cops.
  15. Mate I would also look at one other section of a job aplication. The cover letter. this is basically your chance to sell yourself. you are one of Many graduates who are looking for the same job. you have to stand out. a cover letter saying.. Dear Mr X. my name is johnny and I'm looking for a job in IT. I done a tafe diploma in technology Y and think that this job is something I might be able to do. IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. The FORMAT of your CV is also very important. and at this stage in your career, it is probably more important than the text you have on it as you have no experience. When applying for jobs, they don't make it obvious, but you know the "CRITERIA" section they have... well they are the "questions" you have to answer. Your job application should have a section where you show past experiences/situations where you've proven you have "those" criteria. 1.) Cover letter 2.) Selection criteria responses 3.) CV Apparently they have the internet on computers now so you could probably search for information on how to lay out your CV or how to respond to the criteria requirements. Remember to sell yourself. Your personality needs to come out in your application. Since you've got no relevant experience in IT, your other aspects like how you get on with others etc needs to be your selling point, so that a company will spend the time/money on paying and training you.
  16. The $5, 5 minute intake mod
  17. what are you reasons for choosing iridium over the superior and cheaper copper?
  18. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ns...ts-t228199.html just incase you haven't seen it
  19. who cares.. important thing is...what motor is in it.. or a link to stats you've posted before?
  20. lol... Congrats on the placing.
  21. you like shit fights is all..
  22. as per title. I have one for sale. Looking for $180 or straight swap for an R34 GTT intercooler. Located in Brisbane. Can ship at buyers expense. Price is NOT negotiable. I just need to sell it for that price to get an R34 GTT intercooler.
  23. lol... this thread and the people getting done remind of the simpsons episode where lisa is comparing Bart to a Hamster. bart with the cupcake = you people that go to hektik hangouts. and the organisers.. Fast and furious is over.. stop trying to re-live it with mad meetups with promo chicks bro. what was the whole point of it anyway? modified cars, park at a car park, people hang around trying to fit the image.. So it really "IS" about how you stand next to your car??? **********EDITED by moderators and user warned.
  24. I've got one lock nut on all the wheels but it's a stock one that has come off. I'll try a tyre place over the weekend.
