  1. Just dyno it with the exhaust dropped at the cat and then the cat like I said. should at least remove the possibility of it being a blocked shitty cat.
  2. I thought that the R32 GTST was ok (due to power to weight ratio) is VIC. no?
  3. Lets get it clear. I or anyone else in this thread, am/are not saying that SLIDE was in the wrong for not checking each and every thing in every box before sending out to customers. mistakes happen. the manufacturer that SLIDE gets his goods from stuffed up. but the customer bought directly from SLIDE. he paid his money to SLIDE, and received his goods from SLIDE. the issue is taking responsibility. SLIDE "should" have taken the complaint at first call, told the customer "We appologise for the inconvenience, please send it all back to us immediately, and we'll send out another one, and re-emburse you the $370" or whatever it was. Then, the customer is happy and will talk about what an awesome guy SLIDE is and how there was an error but he immediately rectified it without a second word and how he will definitely overlook the mistake and buy from him again due to the great price and attitude and resolution time. sorted. customer happy. Then SLIDE should have gone to his manufacturer, told them "Look, we buy thousands of dollars worth of stuff from you every week. We just had a return of product as the item in the box was not what was labelled on the box. We had to pay for the labour fees of the customer whos mechanic took his car apart to fit only to find it is the wrong part. I would appreciate that you gie this amount to us as a store credit" or something. Yes. Manufacturers fault for puting the wrong item in the wrong box.. but the "service" and handling of the problem makes it SLIDES fault (in the customers eyes - not to mention the eyes of the 1,740 "views" of this thread.)
  4. Next time you go to "somewhere" plug up your earholes so you don't hear stupid shit and repeat it and make yourself look uber stupid on your first post. and welcome.

  6. Yes and no. yes he has tuned around the AFM cut and rich and retard etc etc. but no. not using any sort of tuning. he has massive fuel pressure, and his boost ramp is not ideal but due to that he gets around the r&r type issues. I'm sure he'll chime in here.. I couldn't find his dyno thread that him and Guilt-toy made..
  7. Explain the ridiculous power "RB2530" is making.. using stock ecu also stock injectors, and stock AFM. I'll admit it's not ideal, but he makes over 250rwkw using those stock items I'll see if I can find his post
  8. Hai..! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/bu...e-f-t35129.html Bai..!
  9. Happy birthday fella.
  10. next time it's on a dyno, do what SK normally suggests and drop the "cat back" exhaust (so it's only the front pipes and the cat left) and do a run. if that makes no difference drop the cat as well and do another run. if still no change in power, then it is NOT any part of your exhaust.
  11. search... if they haven't been deleted that is.
  12. Ahem... nice plates
  13. there is a for sale - parts section. I went there, and typed "r33+Airbox" in the search field. and got this.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/se...e=%2BR33+Airbox I'm sure you can filter through and find what you want. To give you an idea, my one cost me $50 with a newish stock paper panel filter.
  14. It's good that Yogibear got what he wanted/deserved. personally, I would have wanted 100% of the bill back. The sections highleted above are absolute rubbish, and boil my blood. Here is the fact. I am your customer, you are your suppliers customer. you are the middle man. you order a mcshit load of products from your supplier. you pay them dollars and receive your goods, stack them on a shelf. advertise your shit for sale at , lets admit it, damn good prices. i from the public buy your well priced item. I sacrifise something to have a day off to have it installed to find the item was not what I ordered, or what was actually labelled on the box. I am then inconveninced for 2 weeks. This is after I pay you in FULL for the item. and you reply back with the above quote in BOLD. That is a load of shit mate. I'm sorry, but that is crap. I have not bought from you nor will I ever. but the public are dealing with you. if there is a mistake, "YOU" foot the bill to pay back that issue, THEN, you go to your supplier with the error they made, and what you had to pay the customer for their f**k up, and get your money back form them. The customer doesn't want to know or should know any of that shit. an error was made regarding his clutch, he needs to cover a bill he had to pay for that f**k up, and now needs his money back. since the item was purchased from you, the re-embursement should come from you. how you then get your money back does not matter to the customer. sure, provide an explanation of where the error was and that you are refunding him and will chase up your own re-embursement from your supplier, but that is between you and them. not the customer. seriously, when you first popped up on these forums as a trader with your great prices etc, everyone was so happy. and since the demise of your cheap hiflows, it's been a steep downhill trned. looking at your profile, R34 GTR purchased, on top of all your unfortunate hospital bills and your lack of staff or shopfront, you are obviously doing "ok" for yourself. You might want to consider hiring a junior lacky who just sits there and deals with suppliers and customers to close this gap you have. I'm not saying you should be a big time business, but even as a small business owner, you need to learn ALOT about business.
  15. also, 250hp at the wheels is 187kw that would need an RB25 turbo on the rb20 and a chip etc etc. so if you think that the 2.5L with the stock turbo doesn't have instant boost, the RB20 with less compression and less capacity with the same turbo is going to be even worse.
  16. the only explanation for this is that you have mistyped the spot of the 20 and 25. are you saying that a stock turbo'd RB20 has more instant boost than a stock turbo'd rb25? bro you shouldn't drink when on cold/flu medication. 500cc less, 0.5 less compression and you think it has instant boost? NO. the rb25 has the instant boost over the RB20. as for your original question? no. ripping out a working "stock turbo'd" rb20 to replace it with a "stock turbo'd" rb25 is not worth it. but when you start to replace turbo's, cams, etc etc. the rb20 quickly becomes a pig. apart from when it had a stock turbo, the rb20 is always going to be a lag monster. On a side note, I have no idea why anyone would rip out a torquey RB30et or even an RB30e and replace it with an RB20. I'd much prefer to have spent about $2K of turbo parts on to the non turbo 30e and get a lazy (torquey) 200rwkw. especially if you are not changing the 3.7:1 diff that the VL have. Just a few assumptions. you spent about $3K on getting an RB20 in to your VL. you then spent about $2K in getting exhaust, filter, FMIC, boost etc. and if I remember, you've run a string of mid 14's. correct? If you had spent that $5K on turboing your 30e (would have got ecu and injectors and bigger turbo and tuned for that kinda cash) you would have had over 230rwkw. Considering people with 200rwkw R33 whales (1390kg) run 12.9's, and your car weighs less than 1182kg as you say, you would have been closer to low 12's. so while you are wondering why on earth people would swap out a perfectly good rb20 for an RB25 for .5 seconds quicker, I'm wondering why you spent money to run 2 seconds slower.
  17. colemans were asking $75-$89 for used 225/50/16 then they offered their "best new tyre you can get" for $135 each. they are some Nexis or something brand..
  18. Treads is out of 225/50/16's this week. will have more next week. gives me enough time to spray the stockers I got. he said cost is $50 each thanks all.
  19. Sweat - treads is even closer. Will call them today. thanks peoples.
  20. HRT actually "made" the 427. it eventuated. even if there is only 1. it is made. I'll stop. I was not putting his car down. I'm just trying to find out the details of this car as in what it is insured as. what it comes up as in FAST direct from Nissan etc. I've said it almost every post. it is a beautiful car. but the fact that the gtx 2500r was only a prototype "design" but never even actually created (where as the HRT 427 was.. and raced too if I recall), how is it classified as something other than a GTS25T?
  21. I think you'll find "he" spent the time and money to make it look that good.
  22. his car started life as a non turbo Rb20de powered R32 GTS. it now has a 3L bottom end with RB25 head (but using RB26 cam covers etc) he had a special coil cover made to say 3L and the cam gear cover is just an aftermarket rb26 item. well that's what I remember of it all anyway.
  23. sent you PM.
  24. VR4 > eclipse.. VR4's don't top out at 130mph. and they don't need Naaawws especially not 2 of the big ones. definitely not by tonight.
  25. Geebung it seems. will contact.. thanks
