My insurance requires photos to have it valued at what I want. and 2 engine shots are required. I have not stated that it has a pod filter as I will be removing it as soon as I buy a stock airbox. in the meantime, I need to take the photos this weekend. so. if any Northside Brissie gentlepeople would like to spare 5 minutes and a stock airbox and snorkle for photo purposes, it would be greatly appreciated. saturday afternoon or sunday if possible. anyone?

Well the car will be insured and locked up most of the time.. so.. I only want the alarm/immob for the fact that it's an EXTRA deterant and it makes my insurance policy legit. I don't care if a monkey installs it. if it locks the doors, immobilises in 3 places as required and make a noise if set off, then that is all I want. sorry, but I'm not all attached to my car like most people.. it's simply a car that I will enjoy. I'd rather spend the extra money elsewhere.. Not saying you guys are wrong about the best is what you get for your car etc.. that's just not what I believe in an alarm system.

So I bought an R33 and I need to have a 3 point immobiliser and alarm fitted. must have black wiring and meet the australian standards.. what ever they are. I did a search on here and found a decent thread. many people recommending the Mongoose and Autowatch brands. someone recommended a guy called Chris from Audio Express in Brisbane. Spoke with Chris and he said he fits Autowatch which has all the features above and meets all insurance requirements etc. $770 fitted. take 1 whole day. problem - I want to spend under $500 and I want it fitted on a saturday (half day) I don't want anything fancy. just immobilise, lock my doors via remote and alarm. Can anyone suggest anything/any place? Prefer Northside of brisbane. I am waiting to hear back from Col on this matter too. My other option is this. jay car alarm and immob and have someone fit it. anyone on here an auto electrician that wants to give it a go. quote me a fair price and I'll give you the job.

yes. it has a pod. I need an air box. someone has offered an R34 box for free. or I just buy an R33 one for whatever. so.. free v money = new thread asking questions.

are the airbox and intake any different between these cars? or are they interchangable? is one better than the other? (eg R33 GTR airbox "IS" better than R32 GTR airbox)

wether your turbo is safe at 13psi and 11.0:1 A:F ratio has nothing to do with the stock ECU going spastic due to AIR FLOW at that sort of boost at those revs. just have a look at the thread titled "quiet screamer pipe". the started "RB2530" has a few things to say about stock ecu and AFM cut etc. Page 3 I think..

extra boost? how much extra? you have an R33 with stock ecu and extra boost? come on man....

it probably ran out of fuel. or maybe it was pulled over to the side of the road for it's regular rebuild schedule of every 2nd refill. but being that it had fire hydrant injectors, he must have mis calculated the fuel consumption and therefore the rebuild schedule.

1996 WRX STI turbo = TD05 which = max of about 200awkw on the 2L at around 19psi. it's worth about $400. Tell your "mate" to sell it and get something else.

If your car is 70mm off the ground, then why don't you get it up to LEGAL limit. then fit the proper mid muffler and make the sound LEGAL too. but I guess it won't look as fat, PHAT, PH4T or what ever hektik word you want to call it.
