  1. I was working off these figures - correct me if they are off rb26dett head (fully dressed) = $2K Sell rb25det head fully dressed - $1K $1k out of pocket. add $500 for whatever needs to be done to make the 26 head fit on 25 bottom and misc plugs, vacuum bits etc. $1500 going from what is said here. $750 for adapter $350 for rb26 plenum $350 for individual throttles about $1500 in total for parts. are my numbers wrong? edit - ahh yes.. exhaust manifold.... there goes the comparison..
  2. get a Z32 AFM.
  3. with the sort of dollars being mentioned here.. can someone confirm what it would actually cost to buy an RB26 head and bolt it to your rb25 bottom end? then how much could you sell your RB25 head for? wouldn't that be a better option? you get a better flowing head (stock for stock), solid lifters, more aggressive cams (?). the goodness of FFP and 6 throttles. I guess if you already have a head with work done to it you'd bother with all this, but even still.. from a dollars point of view, wouldn't it be cheaper to go the rb26 head route?
  4. This is an awesome idea.. how did you come u with it?
  5. It would be interesting to see if it does it when it's dry.. pod or air box? cai? vented bonnet?
  6. not really. we both agree that plumback is the way. he feels that the stock one is no good and leaks. I disagree. I'm not a mechanical engineer with degree in material science so don't see the need to argue this point. I made my point from past experience and from others results. if that's not good enough then so be it. I do however, have a problem with Dunlop Volleys. No ankle support. could cause you to stall during running. you should go barefoot immediately.
  7. you forgot Megafone attached to end of pod
  8. the Carizma ones are GTR weights
  9. have you replaced the fuel filter? perhaps with the extra fuel required for boost, it doesn't let enough through.
  10. Proof please.. show me the nissan factory information of the above weights? I've always known it to be: R32 early = 1290kg R32 late = 1320kg R33 gtst = 1370kg
  11. Don't get Handling and grip/traction confused. they are different. rex has ALOT of grip/traction. and to a certain degree, it has good handling. My current Liberty RS is my 2nd. I sold the first one to buy an R32 GTST. it was the right choice. I liked the feel of the skyline better. after the first skyline anf a few years, the list went like this.. Galant VR4 S14 Barina (the S14 was stolen without insurance) R32 GTS4 sedan Corolla (skylne was sold to help purchase a houes) and now the Liberty RS again. if you search the for sale section, you will see an ad "for sale or swap - Liberty RS for skyline" I get bored easily. so I never buy expensive cars. The subaru is an easier car to drive fast due to it's TRACTION advantage over a rwd skyline. it is more idiot proof. it is fun for a while when you realise how early you can accelerate out of a corner in comparison to a rwd R33 with same mods. push to hard in the rex and you get understeer which is easy to fix. same in a RWD skyline and it takes some skill. You are obviously bored of your skyline. sell it and get the rex. when you get bored of that, sell it and get another car. there is a buyer for every car. and you only lose small dollars in buying and selling cars. so it's worth it for the change. a stock turbo'd MY00 rex will not feel laggy. but remember that it is 500cc smaller than the skyline. so you will not have as much torque at 2500rpm in the rex as you would in the r33. I'm looking to buy an R33 as the next car. possibly even a 4 door. fuel efficient? My liberty returns between 10-12L per 100kms. half my driving is 100km/h zone freeway. reliable? I've only had to do oil and filter and air filter changes so far. edit - the only rex I drove extensively was my bosses MY99. completely stock. and it has less lag then the liberty
  12. don't worry about the km's on the wrx's. my Liberty RS has 323,000kms on it. still using stock gearbox. engine was rebuilt about 50,000kms ago but only for peace of mind. It has usual mods of exhaust, intake, boost and some tuning. heavy duty full face clutch and lightened flywheel has saved the weakest of all subaru boxes from breaking for over 323000kms. Just buy one. you're not even looking to change the stock turbo so you will never have enough power/torque to break the box. keep away from button clutches and you'll have no worries.
  13. Sounds like awesome fun.. How much did you pay for this camry?
  14. yees.. go on..
  15. http://nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showforum=140 have a read. the same user/company is on these forums as HYPERGEAR ask him questions regarding choice of turbo and boost to use. his site has vids and dyno sheets and mods etc.. However, keep in mind that you will run out of injectors before you reach the max power these turbo's can provide. perhaps search this forum for GTR+INJECTORS+RB20 to see a guide on how to use the GTR injectors and resistor on the RB20, then look at buying them too.

  17. It's a SHETLAND PONY and you jab it's LEG.. Not ass... Gosh!!
  18. - high flow cat for the exhaust - $300 - RB25 turbo (high flow) - hi flow cost about $2K as suggested for a ball bearing hiflow turbo.. just get HYPERGEAR turbo is about $900 from the for sale by trader section of these forums. - Trust intercooler - probably too expensive.. get a cheap kit like GKTECK for about $400 for the kit. - Bosch 910 Fuel pump - $250 - Electronic boost controller - Just get a manual turbotech boost controller for $40.. set it to highest you want to run. to use lower boost, use your right foot less - ECU remap - $150 from user on these forums called CEFFIE. that is the only way you will come close to $2K. you're version of event will be closer to $4k just for parts.
  19. ^^ yeh.. those people want to go slow.
  20. youse did gud! leave it how it is now bro.
  21. I hear an atmo bov.. that is your problem. It's pretty rare.. search on the forums for BOV+STALL.. I doubt you'll find much on the topic.
  22. the only guy to yak yak yak about 300rwkw and rb25 and stock bov is the_mafia. ask him what sort of rev range it gets his max boost setting and what he revs to etc. I'm sure there are others but he is on here the most searching for the word BOV. Maybe start a thread with the title "ATMO BOV ON MY R33" and put your 300rwkw quesitons in the thread body. he will be the first to click it..
  23. someone with 26,000+ posts would surely read other peoples..
  24. oh yeh!
  25. the part about an auto R32 gtst being close to 10 seconds.. yarrr!!
