I should have typed that as supercharged+turbocharged. I initially thought the OP was asking to supercharge his already turbo starlet. as in, I thought he had a Starlet GT which he also wanted to supercharge. like twin charge.

what's wrong with knowing about cars other than nissans? take your blinkers off and look around the rest of the stable and see how many cars are around that will hand you your arse. People of the 90's will know how much fun Switft GTi's were to drive... this is before the import days so some of you can go back to sleep... the EP82 Starlet GT was about the same weight but had about 10 kw more than the swift. and more torque due to turbo. they are light, fun cars to drive. no dori dori so that rules out some more of you. a stiff rear anti-sway bar makes a world of difference to the handling. it is not uncommon to see these cars lift their opposite rear wheel when cornering hard. small article from back in 1999 in hot 4's when whiteline did a kit for them http://whiteline.com.au/articles/RH45_star_a.htm and ofcourse, just like SAU is to skylines.. http://www.austarletclub.com/ is to starlets. do a little digging. expand your minds.

surely a search in the Suspension/braking and tyres section will give you proper advice from people who actually race their cars. Sydneykid, Duncan, Roy and a few others are regulars. saying "when brembo's are just not enough" means nothing. especially considering you have not stated anything about your car's current mods/power. where you have raced. what brakes you have now (Assume Brembo's) why are they not enough.. fade? soft pedal? got any ducting? or even what car you actually have. which circuits did it fail you? after how many laps?

there is no "factory" supercharged/turbo starlets. I'm sure it's doable, but would be a lot of money for nothing. I'm assuming you have the aus delivered shopping trolley version. you can turbo charge that.. or engine conversion from the jap spaec EP82 starlet which has the 4e-fte turbo 100kw engine. Sydneykid had once mentioned that he knew of someone who had shoehorned a sivler top 20 valve 4age in to one. those motors are 118kw I think.. was apparently a bit of fun to throw around.

Just to confirm.. you have $5K - $10K just for brakes right?

R32 RB25 isn't too expensive.. RB25 R32 But still more than I want to spend. and If I want an RB25, I'll just get an R33. I'm not too fussed about the 60kg extra when you get a better engine and gearbox and brakes to go with it.

Stagea - there is no way I want to own a car that makes a R33 GTR look like a light car. not to mention the pure uglyness of those things. apart from the engine, Stag are just not for me. Skydragon - we've already come to that conclusion. I didn't want to have a towbar fitted to a skyline to attach the bike rack to it but it seems like I may have to. Unless I can find this "STRAPON" that Mr Fanny is referring to.

200 wigga watts is all that I would be after. all those cars can so that. the 2L would require a turbo upgrade (S15 turbo for the SR's = $400, RB25 turbo for the RB20 = $350) a rechip for the 2L's would get close enough to this power. RB25 would do it with usual bolt on mods and ecu/tune. we'll see. I'm going to take some proper pics of the Liberty this weekend and advertise it on Carsales. Once it goes, apart from being 2 years older, I'll be able to bring this marvelous thread to a definitive end.
