  1. Hence the front mounted sock..
  2. none of those things you've been told are true..
  3. look at george the junky... hahahaha.. who's the skinny asian guy sitting down at the front with the jeans and black singlet..? Looks like he's between cycles. They were seriously good days man.. I'll stop whoring your thread mate.. take care.
  4. told you i was a qld noob.. lol
  5. This range of performance enhancing products. http://www.bubhub.com.au/newsletter/curash3.gif Unless I win some big money and get the expensive option.. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/3822...23992_cathy.jpg
  6. That might not be enough.. you may need a centre muffler aswell still.
  7. actually.. in this pic http://www.pbase.com/the_r32/image/22963808 you can see the little Jaycar temp display near the ashtray.. and in this photo http://www.pbase.com/the_r32/image/22963789 you can see the dodgey white cable running across the firewall down to wards the turbo area, which then heads to the airbox and the probe was screwed in to one of the AFM bolt holes. So the air temp reading was taken as it entered the afm.
  8. Shit.. I forgot all about that site... lol.. thanks man.. Time to move those photos.. yes that was mine.. Makes me want another one now.. had a little ARC SMIC tucked away in that front corner too.
  9. Interesting.. please explain.. Sounds horrible
  10. youd be right. but your gtst's suspension may be farked or maybe not setup right (if already aftermarket)
  11. I'm onyl new to Brissie so I can't really recommend anyone. Check the QLD section on these forums. Godzilla motorsport get mentioned a fair bit. They are in Tingalpa I believe (East) Mercury is well known (I think they are gold coast way)
  12. years ago I also posted some results I got with a JAYCAR temp probe using pod, shielded pod and airbox in different conditions like traffic, 60kms/h, 100kms/h etc.. If you feel like searching...
  13. yeh I'm pretty happy with the results and location of sensor. Some people will just say it was a happy dyno but I believe that it was calibrated correctly. Thanks for your support guys. For the next even, I'm thinking of running a fronted sock. I might also get on the spray.. some people say that the spray is cheating but I believe that deoderant is necessity. I might give the Rexona brand a go.. apparently it won't let you down. Do you guys think I should wax down to reduce wind resistance against the thighs during the power run? Or should I get a new full body kit like the kathy Freeman job? - still will require front mounted sock roll.
  14. struggling up top would have been the stock exhaust mate.. lol.. you'll find out why when you remove the stock dump pipe and compare it to your aftermarket choice.
  15. Just to add to this.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/-t...html&st=120 go down to post 135 check engine bay and then dyno graph
  16. old arguement this. my personal experience is that with RB25 turbo on RB20 engine and 11 psi, pod or stock air box made no difference on the dyno. 155rwkw with both. the main difference was in traffic etc. the air box got no-where near as hot and the car always almost as punchy after stop go traffic as it did on the freeway. with the pod it was heatsoak heaven making the laggy rb20 feel even doughier. just use the stock box. Even with stock filter..
  17. Both those cars will do it. TommO - how much did the EV0 weigh? I think your whale weighs around 1550kg yeah?
  18. first few mods.. http://forums.performanceforums.com/forums....php?t=67225328
  19. tommo is right.. EVO for drags is of the gheyz.
  20. KABOOOOOM.. RIGHT IN THE BUTT!!!!
  21. I'd suggest R34 SMIC if still using stock turbo..
  22. no.. above said shorts have the usual sport short, inner undie section. thus eliminating the need for actual undies. Also, I will add that this result was with loss of traction. If I had a new pair of Nikes and deflated the air bubble down to 15 psi, I would have no doubt cracked the 160kw mark. AND intake temps were 23 degrees and on a few odd occasions, the exhaust temps went up in small burst to about 45 degrees. I think I had a few missfire issues on that run.. Next dyno day, I will have the new nikes, remove shirt for extra weight reduction. I'm thinking I might add a bit of octane booster... I saw soem the other day called Mars... it came in bar form. "I only eat things in Bar From"
  23. On the contrary
  24. 300awkw and 2L don't go too well IMO. Yes it can be done but it's asking a fair bit of the old EVO. and it kinda defeats the purpose of the EVO too.. if you want that sort of power, stick to the GTR's. If I were you, I'd be buying a REBUILT R32 GTR with all the fruit required for 300 jiggawatts that you are after. I don't think that the R33 GTR with a rebuilt engine and the required turbos and mods for 300kw are under $30K yet. R32's are. for $27K that you have, you'd find one that has been well sorted and all the usual 15 year old faults fixed.
