I call lies on this one. especially the GTiR with a bit done to it. My S14 had 175rwkw with the usual mods of exhaust, intake, boost and FMIC. an R33 with the same power can't keep up with them. GTiR specs: curb weight - 1220kg accelleration 0-100kmph - 5.9 seconds accelleration 0-400m - 13.9 seconds max power output - 227hp @ 6400rpm (or 171.5 kw) max torque - approx. 290 nm R33 GTST specs: Curb Weight - 1390 Kg Max. Power; kW/HP 187/250 @ 6400 rpm Max. Torque 294NM @ 4800 rpm accelleration 0-100kmph - 6.96 seconds accelleration 0-400m - 14.30 s so.. you had stock boost, exhaust and fmic.. he had "a bit of work" how do you figure you beat a car lighter by 170kg and only making 16kw and 4NM less in standard trim. same mods done to a GTiR would would tear you a new a-hole. only way youd win is on a roll from like 120kms onwards.. not that this has anything to do with this thread. as for this thread. S14 is better than R32 (with RB20det) on power and fuel. Looks - R32 GTST is a better looking car than an S14 series 1. interior on the S14 is better than an R32 GTST S14 series 2 is better than R32 GTST in any comparison. Formula goes like this. R33 S2 > S14A > S14 > R32 > R33 S1 here are my ones.. Stolen S14 with no insurance for the lose 92 R32 GTST

bahahahah comparing a vr4 to an EVO 7. man.. I don't know where to start with a response to that. yeh.. in that they both have the same 4g63 block. how about gearbox and diff ratios? how about turbo? how about suspension? how about Brembos? how about S-AYC? I've owned an RS Turbo Liberty. Essentially the same as a 22B right? just like your dads 220rwkw gtst is the same as the Ztune R34 GTR. same same.. while we are comparing.. for lunch should I have a bread stick or a steak with 3 veg... both being food, it's a good comparison right?

Speak to user Tommo on these forums. he had an EVO VIII MR and has recently got a 300kw R33 GTR. not exactly the same comparo but close enough. Me. I'd happily take either one. probably EVO due to being a 4 door - but you already have the tank so who knows..

didn't read the entire thread but have you tried to drop the exhaust before the cat and test drive? basically if you remove the cat (bolts on the dump side and bolts on the cat back side) so you have a gap where the cat was, go for a drive (yes it will probably be loud and illegal). since there are no leaks, no broken turbo's, the only other thing it can be is the exit.. a collapsed cat will cause a massive restriction. the above test essentially removes the cat. if it all boosts up perfect like it should, bolt the cat to the dump pipe but not to the rest of the system. another drive.. and see what the boost does. back down to 7psi? - Cat busted. still up at 14psi (or whatever you have it set to) - pipes/mufflers from the cat back busted.

rb24 build will cost the same as an RB25/30 - maybe a little less as youd want a smaller turbo. still needs custom machining etc. youd want to work the rb20 head a little as it's breathless as it is let alone with 400cc extra trying to push through it.

Hmm I could be wrong but there seems to be a few things missing here.. he has you don't seem to have any: gasket kit - $250 valve springs - $500 Machine shop work for head and block deck for a perfect seal and to tap the nw timing belt pulley - $300? New water pump, idler and pulleys - $300 new timing belt - $150 injectors - $500 fuel pump - $300 Z32 AFM - $300 clutch - $700 run in oil, new oil, oil filter, new coolant etc - $150 other (covers things like new hoses, vacuum lines, bolts and nuts you break, little seals from the 20 year old bottom end that might be leaking etc) - $500 how's that budget 300rwkw coming along now?

point out an RB30/25 combo that cost less than a stock second hand complete rb26dett.

R33 gtst is supposed to be 1370kg for manual and 1390kg for auto. 3200lbs = 1454kg you wighed the car with you in it? 240lbs - what a unit!

what car? what does your rego papers say? why not just take the car to the drag strip for more accurate timing?
