it's the start of the end of one of your coil packs. it's hard to diagnose which one it is right now. Best suggestion is this. take off the spark plug valley cover. leave it off. next time you're driving and it happens, pull over, jump out of the car and get to the engine bay. while it is sitting their idling like a WRX, remove one coil pack at a time. if it idles even worse, "THAT" particular coil is not the problem. keep pulling out the coils one and replacing it until you pull one out and the engine doesn't change it's idle at all. THAT is where the fault is. now.. it could be a faulty coil pack, injector or spark plug at that particular piston. what you can do is disconnect "THAT" coil pack and swap it with another one in the engine. so lets say you found the very back pot being the one with the fault. you would pull that coil pack out and replace it with the very front coil pack. now.. which pot is the faulty one? is it still the back on? or is it now the front one. If it is still the back one.. your coil pack is not an issue. so it's eaither an injector or spark plug at that pot. if the issue moved to the front pot when you moved the coil pack to the front, then the coil pack is at fault. confused? or helpful.

"Forward Facing Plenum" is what most people refer to it as. The greddy ones will not break your engine. it all comes down to tuning. I'm sure someone with a Greddy plenum can add to the subject of where all the hoses and vacuum lines go. My guess is that some are for emissions and are blocked off, others are "Tee'd" off with other ones. You might want to consider if a new plenum is worth it.. the stock ones have been used successfully for over 300rwkw in RB20 and RB25 form. and the amount of piping you reduce is no longer than about 50-80cm.

LMAO.. Have "YOU" driven an EVO? How exactly do you find 355NM at 3000rpm LAGGY? or are you going by the video you saw of TIFF NEEDLE in the UK EVO 400 or what ever it was where he has a top gear race against a festiva where they put it in top gear and do a rolling race from 20km/h The onyl thing about the evo being bad for daily is the stiffness of the suspension. these figures are for the CURRENT MIVEC equiped EVO 9. Every EVOhas been more lively than the last.. the X can only be better.

yeh.. that 60' time is just worse than average. 1've seen many 2.2's perhaps try 22psi in your tyres try different launch techniques. at different revs, slipping the clutch, jumping off etc. with stock turbo, clutch, tyres, you should be able to manage a 2.0 or 2.1
-
what was your 60' time? aroun 2.0 is good, 2.2 is average and can be improved upon. without sounding slack, 14.3 is not a good time. 9-10 psi in a stock ECU'd r33 means it would be running pretty rich and on the edge of misfiring and carrying on. cheapest way to get better times (apart from practice) is a tune with an SAFC to fix the air:fuel mixtures. obviously some street legal drag radials. then practice away. maybe list any other mods. what: wheels and tyres and what size are they what tyre pressure? clutch do you know what power it is making?

TOOLS and SPACE. if you don't have them, and don't want to spend about $1K to get them all, then don't bother. if you think oh the bottom end if only worth $50, I'll just give it a go, you're gonna get the shits with all the trips to bunnings and supacrap stores. as mentioned, get the engine manual and see what tools are required, see what you have and what you need. check the prices of what you need and see if it's worth it. I had plans to do my own when I was in Sydney as my mechanic of many years said I could use a corner in his workshop and all his tools as I needed. that would have been easy and if you f**ked up, you only f**ked up a $50 block. but if you have to invest in tools, make sure you think it's worth it.

in 20,000kms I'll get a photo at 333,333 **isclaimer - chances of me keeping a car for longer than a year are so far "0"**

if you remove your AFM from the car and look at it at this angle... http://www.skylinegts.co.uk/images/Parts/R32afm.jpg The very top part is a square cap. it is sealed by black silicon. you need to remove that cap and you will see under it, the pins that need to be re-soldered. to remove the cap, you will need to cut out the silicon. stanley knife run all the way around the cap in to the silicon should do the trick. once soldered, put the cap back on and silicon it in there. you can get the black silicon from bunnings or even the cheapo crazy clarks type places. it comes in a toothpaste type tube. it is also used to seal car windows to their frame. this sort of crap. http://www.electronicplus.com/images/products/30806.jpg

$6K for an RB26 rebuild with forged pistons.. got to be the lowest cost so far. I'd be real worried about those turbo's now.. main problem with RB26 rebuilds though isn't it.. even if you were to put a set of hiflows on there, the cost to purchase and have them installed would be about $2K surely.

gearbox mount.. sorry man.. it didn't click...

if tha gauge was working, at idle, it would be below 0.. like near -22 vac. a gauge not connected to anything will sit at 0. or if the acc are on,but the car is not started, it will sit at 0

in to the sparkly R33? Of course they would.

The interior is worse than the outside from what I could see. have a look at the trim..
