  1. I might actually get a bigger intracoolah... one that is WIDER than the car.. that should give me heaps more power.
  2. I'll pass on the drive thanks mate.. I figure I can buy a set of bob jane all rounders and drive around in rwd mode when it rains and get the same effect as you. AND, tell everyone it is due to my intacoolah uleh
  3. $50 for your factory bovs...
  4. so you are sayign OVER FILL with oil on ALL skylines.. track, street, shopping etc..
  5. chirp 4th gear, full car, air con on.... ??? look we all throw a little bit of bullshit around but for f**ks sake.. you don't have to paint the room mate..
  6. I had decided to use VDO gauges for oil temp, oil pressure, water temp in to the center vent area. I might use these.. but I need to find the smallest gauge I can get.. I think that 2 inch is the smallest. it actually works out better with the center vents blocked off. the passenger and drivers side vents push heaps more air out. I'll search for this thread and insert pics when I rig something out.. gotta do proper measurements first.
  7. even better, I'll come visit you when I move up to Brissy.
  8. not bad.. if they are acurate, it would be good to get a boost, oil temp and water temp ones.. I wonder if I can fit all 3 in the custom factory made "89 R32 center dash vent/gauge pod"
  9. Aaron - can you tell me these turbo's rating at the said 18-22 psi.. 450? 500hp?
  10. I disagree with everyone here. an R33 at 10psi on stock intercooler will have less power than the same car with fmic. especially after a few good thrashings. that little intercooler would already be heatsoaked.. with the fmic, it would still be getting cool air. cool air would produce more power. just like driving at night in 15 degrees compared to driving around lunch time in 25 degrees. don't worry about re-chip for R33. PFC is cheap these days for them.. something like $950 I think.
  11. hi.. Captain tight arse here.. Can I give you an even cheaper option that will keep you happy for a while.. 1.) $28 boost controller (Turbo tech) = $28 2.) block the bleed hole in the stock bov. = free the boost controller doesn't have to increase your boost.. you can set it up so that the boost you have now stays where it is, but it keeps the wastegate shut for longer giving you a faster spool up. the bov mod does the same sort of thing.. that little hole the constantly circulates air, makes the boost come on smoothly.. therefore slowly. block it with a flat head screw and bolt the thing back on.. car will build boost even faster so you can actually have some low down movement. $30 and 1 hour of your time will be worth it..
  12. we'll see... I doubt it's anywhere near as bad as it is here.

    Intercoolers

how much power you want? if you don't want more than what the stock turbo can produce (200 - 220rwkw) why not buy an R34 GTT intercooler. is 15% thicker and has been proven to be efficient at those levels. AND, is a direct bolt on replacement for the stock side mount intercooler. no-one will ever know.. cost of cooler is about $150 max.. nothing else required. unbolt the factory one, bolt this straight back in it's place
  14. I was under the impression all RB's had 2 of them mounted to the block
  15. yes.. PFC replaces factory computer and is completely programable so no need for SAFC or ITC.. just a boost contoller to go with it. which one you use is up to you and your budget. coils? do you have problems with your current coils? it seems you are on a budget so I would FIRST try to tape them up with electrical tape. if it still fails, I would then replace them with Splitfire ones. but I am a tightarse so it might be different for you. description of taping the coil packs are on POST 14 at http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...pic=114981&st=0
  16. ross - I only know of TOSHI from these forums as having chipped an R33 GTST. costs more than the r32 though as they can't be remapped on to the chip where as the same chip can be over writen on the R32 or something. send him a PM and see what he has to say. however, If I had an R33 gtst, for $950 or so, I would just save till I got that power FC. if it was the same on the R32's then I'd do pfc for that too. but it's closer to $1400 for R32's... JAYCAR DFA is Cheaper than safc yes - Better? I doubt it is actually any better. I'm sure SK posted that it doesn't actually do anything more or less than an SAFC. and since SAFC second hand is under $300, I wouldn't bother trying to put the JAYCAR kit together myself...
  17. not really.. Chatswood area.. close enough.. but only got 10 days left now
  18. typical, as soon as I move, something near me gets up and running "OFICIALLY" that is..
  19. I was under the impression he had his SAFC tuned there.. not the ECU
  20. this "hiflow" rb25 turbo from $890.. ball bearing? flow capability? steel wheels? do you have to provide your own RB25 turbo for them to hiflow? doesn't say much on the website..
  21. cheers. I doubt there is going to be an AUTO Hyundia GETZ in the qld classified section. thanks.
  22. missus recommends I don't if you get my drift.. hahahaha
  23. Hi, My missus is planing on buying a new car when we move up to Brisbane. all the adds state $xxx + govt and statutory charges and so on. so what are these costs? a percentage of the purchase price? a set amount? is it different from NSW to QLD?
  24. same.. pump, rb25 turbo, 14psi, ecu and that's it
