  1. parramatta rd flemington people.. right outside paddy's markets. congrats on sale mate. $17500 for a series 2 with those mods hey... my mates going to be extremely happy when he goes shopping for one in the next month..
  2. on a side note, anyone have any experience with a T518Z on an RB20? they seem to be exremely well suited to the SR and one particular example in latest ZOOM mag is making close to 260rwkw with 1.4 Bar boost with great response.. other mods too obviously but still, this turbo seems to be a good deal for the SR20... maybe get similar results with a little more lag in the RB20... I'm not 100% sure but I seem to recal them being 440hp??
  3. I'm sure he'll see it but it might be good to point htis thread out to user "Fitzpatrick Speed Works" who makes the sump adapters. also SK will probably have good input to this too. I'm keen to know this aswell for my gts4
  4. if you buy say a VDO oil pressure gauge, what will it get it's info from? do they come with a new sensor or does it use the factory one? My R32 oil pressure gauge seems to have a mind of it's own too. starts fine then decides to work or go and lie down on the 0 bed for a while..
  5. I think BU5TER on here is from your area... he has what I would say is an "OK" built RB30det give him a PM to find out where he went.
  6. it's not a boost cut. it is a AFM max out cut. with the stock turbo you can probably get to like 15 16 psi and no cut. the new turbo may max out the AFM with less boost. leave it at like 10 psi for the drive to the dyno. then once on there, they can increase the boost while monitoring A:F mixtures and AFM voltage.
  7. PUNCH OOOOOONNNN!!!.. oh it's sorted..
  8. Bump - Blitz - what did the gtr 17's cost? what are they worth these days? under $2K?
  9. tight arse go fast mod budget::: $800 = Exhaust $50 = Air filter $500 = FMIC kit $30 = boost controller $400 = RB25 turbo $200 = Fuel pump $400 = Ecu re-chip $300 = Fuel pressure regulator $2380 = Total probably make around 170 - 180rwkw on 1 bar (14.5psi) boost. that gives you $2500 to spend on better brake pads and fluid, better suspension, better tyres and maybe a good service. I'm sure you can spend more money on those parts above but why bother.
  10. I doubt you will find many people who have "BOTHERED" to do that to an RB20... I guess Roy's gang might have done something. might be worth while getting some rough numbers of cost of this build and what you will have in the end. then see what an Rb25 or 26 or 30 conversion/build will set you back
  11. you should state what mods you already have.. or search. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=45218
  12. guys. I'm not sure what it fits, but I assume R33. the connecting ends is a 3 bolt flange. Matt - it is the front pipe only, not the dump pipe, so there is no oxygen sensor hole as this is on the dump pipe not front pipe. YO88O - PM sent Mr G - email sent with pics
  13. I can see the adjuster on top.
  14. that's what you were doing that day I spotted you.. I'm surprised you can go around a corner and still do that. then again you were at about 3000rpm and there is a while till 5000rpm when boost build up hey.
  15. *stands around Nicks PARTS stack waiting for bits to fall off* Finders keepers..
  16. someone make me a moderator of this here forum..
  17. you wont get much better fuel economy. while off boost and in closed loop mode, your A:F ratio's are probably close as possible to 14:1. when you get on the gas, then it gets richer and richer. so in standard form it might get to about 10:1. an SAFC or any air flow meter signal bender for that matter, will only make an adjustment at full throttle type position. so you can adjust that 10:1 to about 12:1. pick up a hand full of KW's while your at it and the the car will use less fuel (JUST) when it is on full throttle. I doubt you will actually save any money though, considering the car will have more power and be more fun to drive, you will be up it more often. I had an SAFC on my S14. it gained about 11rwkw on the same boost just by getting the mixtures to 12:1. fuel consumption was still the same.
  18. rb20 with exhaust, fmic 12 psi for me. I use close to 50L per 400km of regular sydney driving. some traffic, some 80km zones. Optimax is fine on mine.
  19. holly shitballs batman.. you got ripped off baaaaaaaaaad. turbo -> exhaust gaskets cost about $27 from GCG. manifold bolts.. if they were snapped, you could have had them drilled out for next to nothing, then new stainless bolts for under $50 for sure.
  20. the only thing the rb20 is good for is to keep the car on the road until a decent engine can be put in it.
  21. It CAN be that simple. anyway, good luck with the sale.
  22. don't know if it helps but R32 GTR rims on the front of my sedan R32 gts4 with stock 225x50 tyres rubs the inner guard on full lock to the left only. car is slightly lower. no guard work done on mine.
  23. still waving $450 at satanic..
