no worries. I droe past it a couple of times and had a good look. it didn't seem to be my car just rom looks and different plates. But I called the cops and asked if they could tell me if the plates belong to the car. first they said no, then asked where I saw the car, I said Punchbowl rd, Lakemba.. they said what are the plates. hahahaha anyway, it turns out that the plates on the car belong on that car and is all legit. so back to nothing.

an update for everyone... While waiting for the police yesterday (4 hours) I decided to make a few quick posters to say when and where my car was stolen from and 3 pics of front side and back, with other details of the car too. I then stuck it on the front entrance door of all the surrounding buildings (about 8 of them).. Basically asking them to call me if they saw/heard anything. anyway, one call that stood out was from the building next door. His study faces our parking area. Now the rest of this is as typical as it gets. He said that he works till at least midnight most nights. Wednesday night (my car was taken on Thursday night), he said it was about 12:30 midnight and he had his light on in the study, working, then got up to stretch and have a drink, He looked out his window and he saw someone leaning over looking in to my car. (He described it as if someone had locked there keys in and was looking to see if it was in the car.. Then another guy walked around the other side and looked in through there. Then the one that went to the passenger side looked up ad saw him in the window looking at them and they ran to the car and drove away. DESCRIPTION: They were 18-25, under 6' tall, wearing caps, Middle Eastern appearance, and drove away in a silver SKYLINE. They actually drove all the way up the driveway and got out of the car and looked at mine then drove away. Then the next night obviously came back to get it. the guy didn't mention anything as the parking spot isn't marked to say who it belongs to and he doesn't know me so he didn't know who to tell. I passed this info to the police so I hope it helps. Who knows. I might get lucky. I am now off to go buy a charade or festiva. Funny. One day you're on top of the world.., the next you're driving a festiva and not knowing if you'll ever get a sports car. Be careful people... this theft thing seems to be ramping up again. Peace. TT

well this puts my plans a fair bit out of wack. I don't hold much hope that I get it back. And if I do, I doubt it will be in a use-able state. I had plans that I would run the car ONE more time at WSID to get a better time, then sell it and buy a cheap run about till I return from my honeymoon in december. at which point I would use that money to buy a 4 door R32 and modify it. NOW... who knows when that is going to happen, or if it is at all. I will be buying a small auto car for now. I will keep it till after the wedding and see how things are then. I mean it's hard to save as it is. but add to that a mortgage, and wedding preps and you have very little savings each month. I hope the car comes back. if it is smashed, I hope the ****s died in it. TT

factory alarm and immobiliser i feel sick

Taken from Lane Cove I parked it, club locked it, alarmed it at 7pm last night. at 6:30 am this morning is when I saw it was gone. They took out the drivers side window. looks to be jimmyd at the B pillar side, and because it was tinted, it is sitting nicely on the flower bed next to where it was parked. Shattered but in none piece. Called cops at 6:32am. still waiting for them to turn up. it was not parked on the street. it was up a driveway, behind a garage wall. can't see it from the street

*sigh* Plates are ALO.71D 1994 S14 200sx emerald blue (looks green) turbo back exhaust pod filter FMIC SAFC Profec A boost controller Very decent Deck sub in boot 300zx wheels as seen in pics apart from that it is pretty much standard looking. If anyone sees it anywhere, please report it to LANE COVE Police on 9428 1977 Thanks

if I was to choose between unichip and SAFC2 cause they were the same price, I'd choose the unichip. as you said, timing can be controlled. I know TOSHI was able to to R33 ecu's.. didn't know about R34's. I thought the UNICHIP would be worth more than the SAFC2.
-
unless he sticky his launch, he is not going to get that time.
-
^^^^ I'm with not so stupid. SAFC only does fuel maps (so to speak) I belive the Chip allows for timing changes as well. Speak to TOSHI from these forums. Many people have used him with great results. Very good pricing too. PS: 16psi on rb25 turbo hey... Starts taking bets on how long till it go kaBLAAAMOOO

oh.. my car only has 175rwkw

Roy - SR20 with stock turbo, stock clutch. much easier to launch than your setup. I dial up 4000rpm and slip a tiny bit to get moving then release and full throttle at the same time to get that. it's pretty close though. a variation of about 200rpm saw me bogging or axle tramping and wheel spinning and having to back off. Also, I was shifting at redline on each gear which saw me crossing the 402m line at the end of 3rd gear. and I mean end. I basically cross the line and the rev limiter does it's first backfire type thing. Next outing I am going to shift just on or a little above 6000rpm. from other peoples runs on same car, this shift point seems to get higher trap speed. I've also got a short shifter so lets see if it allows me to shift real fast, or get many mis-shifts. hahahahaha Actually disregard the above. Yeh I'll drive your car. hahahaha I just want to have a drive of it.

that is pretty piss poor effort. but there are many factors. 1.) you were using 255's but on what size rim? how heavy are the rims? what tyre pressure? 2.) stiff rear shocks = wheel spin as it doesn't squat when you launch. 3.) you have not mentioned any sort of ECU ship or an SAFC of any kind so I will assume it is untuned. 4.) you only have a cat back system and won't be getting as much power as you would if you had a turbo back.. I believe your mates run of 14.1 on 12 psi with stock 205's. reason? Stock 205's on stock rims weigh about 16kg compared to 17x9 rims with 255's (my ones anyway) which weighed in at 22kg. that is 6kg less on each corner and this is worth even more cause it increases rolling resistance. I bet his 60ft time was better than your too. Next time you go.. try this. stock rims and tyres. reduce tyre pressure to about 20psi set your shocks to softest setting. try different launch techniques. to give you a rough idea. my S14 Stereo intact (1 sub and amp) spare tyre intact Small tool box intact and me (85kg) the wheels I described above (17 x 9 with 255's) 20 psi pressure SAFC FMIC 1 bar from EBC turbo back exhaust pod filter Best time of the night was 13.8 best 60ft was 1.96 in a few months I'll venture back and try again. this time, 16x7.5 300zx wheels with 225's no sub or spare tyre. hope for a 13.5 at best I'd say

maybe you should have trolled through search.. you would have found this.. -
any car enthusiast that doesn't know what a liberty/Legacy RS is not really an enthusiast. and it is not a WRX engine. the whole head is different for one. gearbox is different. diff is different. nice cars.. This thread is almost like mine about 3 years ago..
-
no.. but then again I don't drive a whale and I have the stock bov on.. but my R32 skyline used to pop and backfire with the SARD atmo bov.. all worked fine with stock plumback bov.
-
Marcus. listen. you need to LOOSEN the bov (on top it says the direction to turn for SOFT.. go that way). loosening it will make it ACTUALLY blow off and go pssshh.. the stock bov sits exactly where your one is, and plumbs back in to that black pipe to the side of it which is blocked off. see pic of a stocker.. the chatter sound you keep saying is the same sound as you had before but the pitch has changed now due to the new intercooler. more room in the intake system now so sound changes. so.. 1.) loosen your bov or 2.) get stock bov. I say option 2 and sell the turbofart one to some Fast fours forum guy for a couple of hundred. why do people get aftermarket? 99% of the time, it's because they like the sound or the look, or the sticker it comes with. the other 1% of the time, they have a car that is making so much power that the stock setup can no longer FLOW enough air... but this doesn't happen till way high boost and air flow levels.

I am yet to own a car (the count is 11 now I think) that has had a brand name exhaust. All of mine were custom (at least cat back) and are always louder than others I've heard with jap systems. that's why I asked the question. hahaha, The liberty RS Turbo I had a few years back.. man that thing had such a deep and loud sound that it was unbearable at about 3200rpm.. it was a little quieter on either side of that rev range. minimum 4 car alarms would go off in every car park. the S14 is not that bad, but still loud. come to think of it, my skyline before wasn't too loud and it was custom.. hmmm.
