  3. clutching at straws here but... fuel pump/filter/injectors??? the jerking back and forth you are talking about sounds similar to what I have experienced in the past...
  4. $1500... god damn!!! you can buy like 5 from toshi for that price.. hahahaha
  5. 1.) buy the hybrid cooler piping with the cooler in a KIT from www.theintercoolerguy.com it works out cheaper and you get a free oil catch can.. 2.) if you are running stock boost, you will get NO extra kw from a new cooler. if you have boosted your car up a couple of psi already, and the cooler is a restriction at the moment, then with the new cooler and pipes, you might gain a handful of rwkw.
  6. here are my votes... http://board.performanceforums.com/forums/...ghlight=charade or my favourite... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...item=2478035852 you can't beat that....!!

  8. ???? anyone else?
  9. for those of you that have access to autospeed.. I was reading this.. http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2128/article.html and the extract that I was interested in is this.. apparently they have seen stock xr6t's make anywhere from 160rwkw (auto) to 210 rwkw (freak engine and manual gearbox) anyway.. as you can see in the quote above, the stock injectors are 6 x 300cc and some cars are able to make over 200rwkw in stock form.. so why is it that R33's (for this example) with 6 x 370cc injectors are all changing their injectors/pumps/regulators before that power figure? I know that one is 4L and the other a 2.5L but I thought that both being 6 cylinder and turbo, and similar injector capacity, they would have died off at around the same power figure regardless of engine capacity.. I also thought that the 4L would require MORE fuel.. also take note that with the above fuel upgrade (change from 300cc to 360cc), the new injectors and bosch pump combo, along with exhaust, UNICHIP, air filter box mod, 12psi boost, the XR6T's crank out about 280rwkw... HOW? how is it that 6 x 360cc and bosch pump are enough to fuel that sort of hunger?
  10. the jza80 TT supra intercooler is not the same size as a GTST cooler. the CORE ONLY size is 230 wide x 275 high x 130 thick. then there is the end tanks. with end tanks it is.. 350 wide on top and 290 wide on bottom. and the inlet and outlet are in the wrong position for mouting in the passenger side.. as they are on the drivers side on the supras... As you may have guessed, I've travelled this path before.. UNSUCCESSFULLY I bought mine for $200 and sold it for $200
  11. *puts on flame proof suit* there are people that have had great results with truck coolers.. perhaps track down a truck cooler.
  12. PCD = 4 x 114.3 offset = 40 size = 16x7 tyres = Dunlop (one is a Bridgestone) colour = Silver Came off my VR4. before that it was on a 180 $700 Sydney buyers only. Located in Ashfield area.
  13. Michael.. Have you put one aside for me? if not, I will pick up the $50 one this weekend.. Cheers.
  14. OR sell it and get something more usefull for your setup..
  15. 1.) minimum should be the size of the turbo outlet for the pipe from turbo to cooler. From cooler to throttle body should be minimum the size of the throttle body. 2.) Don't know, I'm from sydney.. 3.) stock boost... but can be ok still at 10-12psi..
  16. yes. 45v2 on the comp cover is the STOCK turbo from a series 1 RB25det. that is what I got when I had one for my R32.
  17. well bad tuning comes down to running 12psi through stock ECU and intercooler. and since it was you or your friend who did that, then it is still the TUNERS fault.. Not the design of the inlet.
  18. now that's good advice. Walbro 255L/hour pump = $180 from www.mercurymotorsport.com.au
  19. it is no fault mate.. one mechanic told you it's a design fault and you think it's true? as mentioned, if it was a fault, then why was it used on the R34 GTT.. and all the way up to it's last build date of what.. 1999? there is nothing wrong with the design of the RB30, 20 red top, 20 silver top and 25... sure they differ a little from one another but as you can see, they all have the throttle body in the middle of cylinders 3 and 4... just have a look at these forums to see how many guys/girls have the stock plenum and running huge numbers. look at the gibson racing team red top rb20 using stock plenum and some ridiculous numbers.. the only fault of the stock plenum is that is isn't as pretty as front facing..
  20. umm... since when does the greddy plenum have 6 throttle butterflies for the RB25? also, with a front facing plenum say RB26, the air would be rammed right to the back first so that throws out the back cylinder dying from not enough air.. and, why is it that only YOU have lost 2 rb25's on 12psi, when others can run alot more boost through the stock plenum/engine/injectors and not have problems. it seems more like bad tuning rather than a "fault with the intake manifold" as you put it..
  21. Have a set of 4 brand new S15 wheels and tyres. Factory Bridgestone wheels on S15 16" rims. stud pattern = 5 x 114.3 These have never been used. The car was purchased new and had 17's put on before it was delivered. $650 ono. (the tyres retail for about $300 each on their own.) Contact Paul on 0413 389 116 Sydney Only.
  22. hi flowed is a very general term.. it could mean alot of things.. GCG can "hi-flow" a stock R33 turbo to make it a HYBRID T3/T4 ball bearing turbo which will flow about 450hp worth of air and cost you about $2300 The right cams will make it more responsive. Yes.. it would be a lot more fun than the stocker. Even a stock R33 turbo on an RB20 is more fun than the stocker..
  23. bump. Car going in trading post this week.
  24. I haven't seen that.. link please.. would be a good read.. anyhow.. what is a NEW bosch worth?
