  1. Personally I find stretching gives a much more temporary relief from tightness. but some light stretching and message works better
  2. you need these.. They will sort out tightness.
  3. Birds - have you paid for the April Novice comp yet? I didn't see your name on the list.. or are you Catherine?
  4. how were you tuning the computer?
  5. thanks for telling us that you're not going to enter the comp mate. I will ALSO be doing chest tonight. but I'm going to go one step further and not even attempt this challenge. I will also pat my dogs.
  6. Do you even sleep brah?
  7. I slept like a baby last night. I've got half a bag of creatine* for the person who can answer why I slept so well. *used by date may start with 199
  8. it'll be diet related. or in figjams case, not enough micronized isowhey creatinandoline.... pineapple flavour. starwars never came back in here.. you know why? he did 2 sets of 20 rep squats and is still sleeping..
  9. Birds - learn to arch back. then you won't leave an inch between your chest and the bar. Also - learn to pause bench to practice for the April PTC comp that you will do. Just pause the first rep of your work sets and carry on with the other reps.
  10. arsehole!
  11. ok I'll send him a Change Request.
  12. You must be Gen Y
  13. Thats one of the reasons people tend to buy return flow coolers so it uses the stock pipes in the engine bay.
  14. L33SH - Can you change your avatar back to the banana one please? Thanks.
  15. *sigh*.. I'll go clean my drivers side window tonight.
  16. The program listed is something Markos put together for beginners to lifting. Starting Strength has even less volume and therefore less pump so you'd go crazy. Edit - doing crunches is not a warm up for any exercise. how would doing multiple bending of the middle be a warm up for anything you will use during any of the exercises listed in the program?
  17. you don't know what CAARMING is? youtube - Arnie the pump Also - SLDL is not in starting strength. the program listed on the earlier pages is not from starting strength. edit - seems all your injuries/twinges etc come from that anchor you call a motor. Fit a VH45 and win at life.
  18. just do all your CAARMING at home instead of at the gym.
  19. Ouch... what's the recovery plan like for such an injury?
  20. I think these might be too slow.. Perhaps we should just set out a bunch of challenges that anyone can attempt at any time as part of their gym session. squats for reps bench for reps deads (already done) pullups OH press Tabata thrusters for the cardio kings 100m sprint? rowing? edit - create a thread for each and people can update each when they attempt it... only video entries count. if you did 25 reps of OH press but didn't video it, then don't post. thoughts?
  21. it's been doing it a lot longer than I've been giving it a hard time.
  22. squat more kilos in comp.
  23. Factory manual. Not sure what if any work has been done to the diff. Will see if the shafts have any movement.
  24. Never if you don't need to. I've only done a best of 150kg for 3 sets of 5 squats without wraps. Program had me doing 145 last week and 152.5 this week so I started using them this week and will keep doing so till the comp in April. I think you get used to them after a while... just like your hands get used to deadlifts. I've seen blood on some peoples legs before and lots of bruises. I had Scott at PTC Brisbane wrap me once leading up to last years Nats. he goes, how tight do you want them? I told him to go easy first time since I'm used to wrapping myself. He goes ok I'll go about 50% This 50% managed to get 2 extra loops around the knee then when I wrap "tight" at home myself..... It hurt like hell.. lol And my wraps are the 2 meter ones which are well used Inzer ones.... compared to the 2.5 others use. Hopefully I'll better my last PB at a slightly lighter bodyweight come April.
  25. Good work Kez and Birds. you'll do fine. Listen to the rules before regarding what is a pass and what is a fail, remember to wait for the calls and you'll be right. It's great fun. Markos and his guys are all very helpful and friendly.
