I upgraded to an RB25 turbo on my RB20DET. Best $$$'s I spent on the car. boost comes on at the same time or maybe 100-200 rpm later but holds and keeps pulling to well over 6500rpm. mine is currently running 13psi and has done so for the past 6 months. oh.. my car is an R32 GTST not R31, but I believe that it would be the same sort of outcome..

jimx.. I have a complete set of RB20DET fuel rail and injectors and a complete set of RB25DET fuel rail and injectors.. let me know what you are after..

especially when he has left his mobile number and email address on a public forum... if i was in a annoying mood, i would cause you a few problems..

are you possitive that the temp probe that the power fc uses is not faulty? maybe change that or... buy a cheap temp probe ang guage and plumb it in where the power fc one is so that you can see what temps each of them show...

when is the last time the spark plugs were changed?

I've seen RB20 turbos go from $250 for something on the edge of it's life to $350 which is in really good condition. The one I have here came off a car which had 67,000kms. there were no oil leaks or anything from the turbo. the blades look good.. it spins freely. there is a little bit of shaft play but it's just the same as the R33 turbo I put on my car 6 months ago which is now runing at 13psi without no problems at all.. It's up to you dude... I think that the price I am asking for it is decent...

it looks pretty good. it has a little shaft play, but no more than any other turbo I've had.. the blades are clean and not damaged in any way..

I need a big piece that I can cut down to what ever I want.. and it also needs to be large hole mesh.. don't want any restrictive stuff.. just something that will cover the air dam.. RASON JUSE... if you or your bro want to see the engine then let me know when you want to... All I know is that the engine has no or low compression on cylinder 1. I have already taken a few things off the block like turbo, plenum, rocker covers, and other little bits and pieces.. so if you want the bare block (basically), then make an offer and we'll go from there.. BLACK R32.. I will let you know when this is done... it could be a month or so though.. I got to take a few days off from work.. I really don't have the time yet.

I can't send the engine to the gold coast man. it weighs like ... well who knows how much.. No I don't have indicators.. it is just engine parts..

that's odd. R32 and R33 gtst dump pipes are identical in standard form and aftermarket ones are usually the same way. How DIDN'T it fit exactly?

I want the mesh that is used in the GTR front bars. or at least something that has the similar sized openings.. in sydney. anyone got any or can recommend anywhere to look?

Luke... have you had your's dyno'd? what figure? how are your air/fuel mixtures with this turbo and that boost on the standard ECU?

I have a RB25 turbo on my rb20. got it running 13 psi. it is a direct bolt on. you don't need to modify anything to make it fit (I am refering to an RB20DET from the R32 GTST... don't know about the R31's) Just make sure that you get the elbow pipe that the intercooler pipe connects to. this is because the RB20 turbo elbow pipe is the same diameter but the bolts don't exactly line up. so instead of having to drill the holes out like I did, save yourself the hassle and get the pipe aswell. You may also need to take the compressor cover off the turbo and drill in to it to tap in the wastegate hose. or you could also do it to the intercooler pipe like it is on the R33 skylines. boost comes on at the same time as with the old turbo and stay strong to the redline. definetely a good/cheap mod to do to your RB20DET.

I never said that STOCK filters were good. I said the stock air box. I put a TRUST filter element in my standard box. MINES group in Japan always keep the stock air box in their cars. if you haven't already seen it, see if you can get your hands on a copy of Best Motoring Number 5 (I think) Take a look at the MINES GTR...
