I have a standard R32 GTST (RB20DET) turbo. took it off my car at 89,000kms. very good condition. very free spining, next to NO shaft play. was never boosted. when I bought the car, the only mod was a pod filter. still had the standard exhaust connected. I also have the standard cast dump pipe. Pics can be found in the link in my signature below.. I am after $350 ono. cheers. TT

If you are thinking about this to make shorter pipes for the intercooler there are other ways to get shorter piping.. Like this one from BOOSTMEISTER who is from these forums..

One question for those that have done the heat wrap tape. after a while, does it flake? I mean do you get fibreglass dust stuff all over the engine? what happens when it gets wet then dry and so on? thank you.

I just like to keep my cooling system the way it was designed. it works well, just needs to be serviced.. so I gotta look in to this bearing pack. wonder where I can get these.

yeh. this is the second one that I have had. that's why I want to replace the bearings or whatever with a new pack rather than getting a second hand whole unit. Thanks Gary.. TT

hi all. As you guys are aware, the skylines (R32 and R33 gtst that I know of) have a clutch fan system for the radiator cooling. Recently my one has been staying on for longer and longer. even on cold nights when not trashing or anything. I'm guessing that the clutch system is starting to go or something. Normally when the revs reach about 3000rpm it would die down and let the engine spin on it's own (like it should) but now it just keeps holding all the way to 5000rpm some times. My question is.. Is there a way to REPAIR this? Does anyone know exactly how the system works? Does anyone know the cost of a new fan and clutch thingy? I do not want to convert to an electric fan or anything like that. I just want my one to work as it should. thanks.

The S15 ones are only slightly thicker than the R32 and R33 coolers. but nothing like the R34. I have a supra intercooler for sale which is 130mm thick.!!!! just picture that.. or go to the link in my signature to see a pic.

a screamer pipe is a pipe that runs from an internal or external wastegate, to the atmosphere. so it doesn't get plumbed back to the exhaust. therefore it is just like hearing a turbo with no muffler or anything. basically it SCREAMS when you come on boost because the wastegate open to release the excess boost and it just goes straight out without any muffling.

I just asked for one too. sadly they are all gone.

An R34 GTT intercooler would be better wouldn't it? it is both taller and thicker than the R32 and R33 coolers. this pic is the difference between an R33 and R34 coolers.

it's a pipe seperate to the exhaust. you can have them open to atmo or plumbed back in to the exhaust further down the pipework. Definitely Illegal...!!! Very Loud... you can seperate the wastegate pipe on internal wastegates and external.

no-one is argueing against that.. I just couldn't justify that much cash

yeh I know.. you have a deeper boot though. it might squeez all the way to the back on yours. then you'll have room in front of it.

2 subs in the one box.. I've taken it out of my car now cause I just do not have any room with it in there. it was ok for a while but it just got annoying cause the box would not go all the way back in the R32.. it would touch the wiper motor.. haven't you seen it? there are a few pics in link in my signature.
