  1. GFB HYBRID BOV SOLD.. all others still available.
  2. would this supra cooler be my one?
  3. yeh you got it cheap.. details for those that haven't seen the GFB boost controller. Quote from GFB.. "GFB puts the key to boost control in YOUR hands! All turbocharged vehicles utilize some form of factory boost control, most of which display a tendency to be conservative in allowing the boost to build up, and then taper away noticeably toward redline (see diagram). A GFB Boost Controller however, not only allows quick and easy boost level adjustment, but it can also reduce the boost threshold (the RPM at which boost starts to rise) and maintain a rock-steady upper limit. The simple explanation is - more power, earlier and longer! $109 including GST (Part No. 3001)"
  4. My TurboXS one works fine on my R32 GTST. I've set it to 13psi and on a cold night, when I mash my foot, it will spike to about 14psi then settle back down to 13psi.. I bought it 2nd hand for $50. new they are about $110.. (retail) the GFB atomic is also $110 (retail). unless you know someone..
  5. Emails/pics sent to all that requested it. PM's also replied. thank you all for your interest.. let me know what you guys think. cheers. TT
  6. I've done the mod to my bov. i have no problem with driving at part throttle. it's definitely better than stock bov in anyway I could think of. I WOULD recommend it.

  8. man someone should put up a sticky post in this section about misfiring in the R33's. it is almost ALWAYS the spark plug gap.
  9. $150 for a plastic bosch type bov.. that's a bit of a waste. even if it is in the evo's.. you guys do know that you can mod your Standard Skyline bovs to hold more boost right?
  10. cooler. the front mount is up for sale for $320. 640mm wide x 170mm high x 60mm thick (width includes end tanks) bov is below.. I just found these are $329 direct from GFB..
  11. I have a brand new GFB hybrid (half plumb back/half atmo vent) for $200. they retail at $320
  12. yes it makes a pssh sound. no you can't just say it's a plumb back because there is a entry for the plumb back and on the opposite side there is a trumpet for the atmo. oh by the way.. I can read your sig and I have been getting laid.. so what now? hahahaha very clever though.
  13. MEGGALA has one.. not after market but one that he has designed. I'm sure he will see this thread and be able to help you.
  14. to have the bosch bov venting to atmo without an AIR FLOW METER's car stalling, you will need to modify the bosch bov with a one way valve. otherwise you MUST have it plumb back (unless your car doesn't have an air flow meter.) if anyone wants details on how to make the bosch bov able to vent to atmo, I can post a link.
  15. I don't think that you will have a problem with the bov leaking. it is more the fact that when the bov has to actually "BLOW OFF" it might not be able to handle THAT much pressure. so you might get the compressor surge sound (fluttering.) if you want, I have a NEW GFB HYBRID bov for sale. $200 it plumbs back and vents to atmosphere at the same time so you don't have the back fire issues.. and they can handle ALOT more than 1.5 Bar boost.
  16. Do a search in this section for "misfire" you will see, that 90% of R33 GTST's have this problem. once boost goes over 9psi (that is the lowest I've seen this problem) they get a miss at about 4500rpm or about there.. re-gap the plugs to 0.8mm and the problem will go away. it is very common. also, in regards to the coil packs. One of mine died and I bought one off these forums for $40. never had a problem since. Wreckers sell them anywhere from $60 - $100 each. I belive that the spark plug gap will fix your issue. make sure that you do the plugs ONLY then go for a drive. that way you will know that it was the plug gap. then I would also recommend you do the following just for good measure. **clean your AIR FLOW METER (take it out and spray carby cleaner on to the wire in there... let it dry. it will evaporate on it's own). **if you have a re-usable filter (pod or panel) clean it (cleaning kits are available most auto spares shops. **change fuel filter. it's like a cheap service on the most used parts.. considering that you had an oil change 4000kms ago, you can wait another 1000kms before the oil and oil filter are replaced. good luck.
  17. ahh autosol.. costs like $7 for a tube and it does wonders.. the above suggestions are your cheapest options.. takes a bit of time but it looks the goods..
  18. you can make a slight cvhange to the stock bov to make the car a little more responsive.. do a search for "standard bov mod" in this section
  19. it's exactly as you described it. but I had to use hoses a little longer cause I wanted to mount the boost controller behind the heat chield I have around my pod filter. the boost controller comes with step by step instructionn and pictures. if you can read english, you can do it yourself. basically, the hose from the wastegate acutator goes to the bottom of the bleed valve, then you get a hose from the side of the bleed valve to the turbo. then wind away to get the boost you want. Oh by the way, increasing boost with the bleed valve has allowed boost to come on earlier and stronger when compared to no bleed vlave. Obviously the rate at which it comes on can be better with an EBC but for those that were saying that a bleed valve will NOT bring on boost earlier at all, you are wrong. LIKE I SAID.. it comes on quicker when compared to a standard setup with no boost controller. if I was to use an EBC, I'm sure that I could bring on boost even earlier (as in reduce wastegate creep to next to none) I am happy for now. I might make the autospeed valve in the future if I want to play with it some more.. oh. If anyone wants an EBC, I can get a BRAND NEW, top of the range MRT controller with LED screen and things like water spray controller, boost gauge, turbo timer, a/f ratios... and other goodies for $600. they retail for over $900.
  20. well I haven't got dyno numbers before and after. but to drive it is alot better in everyway. boost actually comes on at the same time and comes on alot stronger and holds boost till red line. compared to the standard setup which was all good till like 5500 - 6000rpm then it would feel flat. I don't get any spiking yet.. I say yet because I have only been able to fang it around for like half a day and not really open it up much due to traffic and rain... I will get the car on a dyno in the next couple of weeks, mainly to get a tune with the new goodies, and from that I will get a figure. I will post it then.
  21. Off my 92 model R32 GTST. engine has 89,000kms. hasn't been run under any extra boost. (never had a boost controller) Only took it off car due to upgrade. very free spinning. very minimal shaft/thrust play - (acceptable play) located in sydney. offers over $300
  22. good morning all. Update for you lot. I had the RB25 turbo and TurboXS HPBC fitted on friday. I am currently running about 13 psi boost through the boost controller and turbo. I haven't yet experienced any ridiculous boost spikes. it went up to about 14psi when underload on 4th gear and dropped down to just under 13 when comming close to red line. I am very happy with the RB25 turbo and my turboXS boost controller. then again this is going from standard 11 year old turbo and NO controller and a leaking manifold gasket so I guess it is understandable that I would like this more.. PS don't let anyone tell you it is easy to change the turbo... even if it is a direct bolt on.. (NOTE: not everything bolts right on)
  23. $100 for a strut brace for my R32 GTST?

If you want pics, then visit the WHITELINE and KYB websites.. AGAIN: all components are BRAND NEW. never been on a car. NOTE: not willing to seperate bits and peices. either just the KYB Shocks for $800 or the whole package for $1400. SYDNEY ONLY Either reply here, or PM or Email him directly at THIS ADDRESS
  25. zahos, sydney kid. can either of you please tell me the total cost of building the autospeed boost controller. I mean, how much did it cost you guys for the valves, hoses, clamps and any other MATERIALS required. I believe that I would be able to put it together myself, but I am wondering if it will be worth it in the end.. I only plan to run maybe 13 psi on my rb20det with an rb25 turbo. the standard turbo currently hits 11psi with only full exhaust, pod filter and ARC standard cooler replacement. My RB25 turbo will be on my car tomorrow afternoon. I have this TURBOXS HPBC sitting on my shelf and was planning on using this. I believe that this has the ability to bring boost on earlier.. but I don't see how as it only has one adjustment on the top. quote from TURBOXS "High Performance Boost Controller $129.00 Adjustable ball/spring design gets you to full boost hundreds of RPM faster than stock!" if I am only looking at 2 - 3 psi increase, would this valve be good enough? anyway guys, the original post asked for some info and some of you started fighting.. why? we're skyline owners/enthusiasts.. not clowns from Fast Fours forums.. so drop it... the man wants a CHEAP upgrade, lets find him a cheap upgrade.. I believe that ZAHOS's input of the autospeed article was the best one.. PS. my TurboXS HPBC only cost me $50 second hand.. keep an eye out for them..
