  1. You wouldn't have an R32 GTR Grill would you?
  2. The RB25DET from the R33 and the RB20DET from the R32 GTST have a Bolt pattern which is the same as a Garrett T3. Therefore it is known by the public as a T3. However, the internals are about the same size as that found in a Garrett T28. So the turbo on your R33 can be replaced with another turbo which has a T3 bolt pattern (flange) There are 100's of different spec turbos that could be called a T3 but the internals are going to be different from one another so you have to be specific on compressor trim and A/R numbers and so on to identify them properly. The turbo's on the R34GTT are once again T3 bolt pattern. The inlet (compressor)blades are made out of a NYLON material of some sort but the exhaust wheel is still ceramic like all the ones before it. To be able to run like 1 - 1.5 Bar of boost on any standard skyline engine is going to cause issues.. it would definitly have to be a turbo with steel wheels and I don't think that this is going to be CHEAP as you want it to be. The R33 turbo rebuild is a good idea.. probably still cost over $1000 though.
  3. jimih.. all of the above are good points.. I'll add one more.. Also try reseting your ecu. since you've got all these new mods, you should reset the ECU and then go for a thrash so that it learns things from scratch.. there is a thread on how to do this but here are quick instructions.. **disconnect battery. **Step on brake pedal until all power is drained and the brake lights no longer come on. **Plug battery back in. **Start car, thrash it around for a few minutes around the streets. **Done.
  4. JIMIH.. With a external venting bov like the one that you got, it will stall no matter what you do. If you tighten it a bit, it might stall less, but it will still stall or almost stall after it blows off due to the whole air flow meter issue. To Tighten the GFB Mach 1, there is a screw on top. If you turn it clockwise, it will tighten it and push the piston a little lower so that it is completely closed during idle. But your car will probably still stall in a situation like slowing down to a set of traffic lights or something. If you are in sydney, and you want help then let me know.. I can help tighten it or whatever... I've got a plumb back GFB bov on my car. It's briliant. No stalling, heaps better response when accelerating.. and a nice muffled khhhhhhh type sound through the pod filter during gear changes. If you can still return it, and you want the psshhhtt sound, then see if you can excahange (with money on top) for a Hybrid BOV.. this way you will get the sound and no stalling.
  5. BUMP... Can anyone get me a R32 GTR grill? Please???
  6. sinse you really need to get rid of them.. I'll offer $100. I'm only going to use on of them and will get one of those pre made single sub boxes and give the other to my brother or something.
  7. $150 hey?? can anyone do better?
  8. Does anyone know where I can get them? it doesn't have to be original. can be copy or whatever.. how much do these things go for? does anyone have one for sale?
  9. damn it,, that would make you GT from perf forums. yes still trying to get a light weight one... Don't think that it's going to happen..
  10. Few questions.. What is the weight of the box? Where in Sydney are you located? Will it fit easily in to the boot of an R32?
  11. I read that this was the next lead car for Fast and Furious 2
  12. I only wave or beep or flash other R32 GTST's.. If I was to wave at every skyline on the road, I'd get a sore arm. One other thing.. there are some skyline owners around that think that they are somehow better than others.. you know.. the ones that look down their nose at you or give you the I'm-a-sick-c*nt-so-I-have-the-right-to-stare-at-you look.
  13. Does anyone know why no-one uses a T3 from an FJ20DET or RB30ET as an upgrade for their R32 GTST or R33 GTST? Since they are T3's, wouldn't they fit? Don't they have steel exhaust blades? Are they not bigger than the standard turbo's that the skylines get? Just curious cause I never see these mentioned in turbo upgrades.. Thanks. TT
  14. Can you give a rough estimate of what price you are looking at?
  15. ??? I know one thing for sure and that is that when a turbo is HIGH FLOWED, they open the turbo up, machine the inlet and outlet, machine the blades, replace seals and bearings and re-oil and clean and put back together and so on, so basically it is like a rebuild. This alone cost about $900 - $1300 per turbo depending on where you take it. Now you've got 2 to do so you add up the numbers. Once all this is done however, you have basically 2 brand new turbos... Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the GTR's also have Ceramic exhaust blades? If so, and you want to run high boost, you might need to get them changed to steel. It might be a cheaper alternative to get new turbo's and sell off the stock items on the forums..
  16. Maximum noise.. GFB (Go Fast Bits) BOVUS MAXIMUS.. It has twin trumpets and is probably one of the loudest around. But at 10 psi it may not be the best option.. these are mainly used on ABOVE 15psi applications. They cost about $320. I had a GFB Mach 1 on my old RS turbo liberty and it was pretty loud.. they cost about $270 new. Check here.. GFB SITE... You could also go for Turbo smart but I am not a big fan of those.. they are over priced and not the best quality in my opinion.. Obivously you could spend more and go for a JAP brand like BLITZ but they are going to cost more than you are willing to pay. Here are some pics of the GFB Bovs.. GFB Mach 1 GFB BOVUS MAXIMUS PLEASE NOTE: with these atmo venting valves, your car will start to back fire and run rich and sometimes stall because your car has a air flow meter like all the other skylines.. GFB also make a HYBRID BOV which vents some back to the inlet like the stock bov and vents the rest to atmoshpere making the psshh sound.. These cost about $330. here is a pic of the GFB HYBRID BOV.. ANOTHER NOTE: You will get defected and FINED with any ATMO venting BOV if the police check. see ya..

    gauges wanted

Too expensive mate. I only need it for a test. I'll pass.
  18. If you want the sucking sound to be really loud, you should get the induction pipe between the air filter and turbo re-made with Metal. I am getting this done when I get the exhaust done. Obviously you would need some sort of pod filter in front of the pipe so you can hear it better.
  19. cool. thanks.

    turbo

Hi Confak... The turbo that you have, is it from a series 1 or series 2? I'm not sure when the R33's went to series 2.
  21. Hi.. I need the following. 2 x boost gauges 2 x temp gauges. Prefer as cheap as possible. Don't care about brand or special functions. Only need them for a test. I'm in sydney thanks.
  22. Hi people. I want to replace the headlight bulbs with something brighter. The ones that are standard don't do too much to light up the road. Can anyone recommend something that I could use? Brand, model number, where I can get it and price would be great. It is for a R32 Skyline GTST Thanks.
  23. Dude this has got to be a typo. A fine of $11,000 (eleven thousand dollars) for a BOV and filter?
  24. Carbon Fibre. Very light. Universal fitting.. (it slides on the shifter and gets held in place with those 3 tiny screws.) - does that make sense? Located in sydney. Offers over $100.. Pics below...
