yes 80-90 is fine. 83 - 85 is what you will usually see in regular driving. once or if it gets to 100, it goes up very quick from there.. but this would only happen if you have a problem.
-
Jelly please. Troy - garage gym is good as long as you don't want to do any overhead pressing (while standing) I've got my gear under the patio roof so I can still do standing mil press.. reminds me. I should start doing standing mil press again.

Get a NEO motor while you can. strip the old motor apart and sell off in bits to the rest of us seagulls.
-
I suppose if you sold the skyline you wouldn't have anything to take reflections of yourself on which has the right angle and shade. lol
-
Sell skyline = garage space for cage........ and mirrors to keep you happy.
-
check this shit out. http://www.factoryfa...ldown-home-gym/ thinking of selling my ol rusty to get one of these. Who wants a cheap power cage in Brisbane.. $150
-
^^^ this. I have a cheap power cage and cheap barbell and cheap weights and cheap bench at home. it takes me 3 seconds to get to the gym. there are no other members using the equipment. I don't have anyone asking for a spot or asking if they can work in. buy equipment for home for the price of a years membership at any gym.

I meant your initial injury. didn't you say you hurt it skiing or some shit.
-
Nah.. just saying that it invites and injury. I wouldn't do it. It's very hard to not relax your hams, lower back and butt while holding in that position. and you relax any of those and pop. I know your injuries were not lifting related.
-
Mitch - sounds like you may need to work on flexibility around your calves, achilies etc. I may have posted this link already. www.mobilitywod.com very good site for mobility and flexibility exercises. he has heaps of things for mobility of those areas to allow people to get in to a squat position without falling etc. even if you are tall also, look at what shoes you squat in. sneakers are no good. good cheap option are chucks or similar shoes which have a flat hard sole.
-
knock knock who's there? back injury, I need a place to stay for a while oh hey man.. come on in..
-
Equiped lifting is just another sport really. it is still powerlifting but the equipment gear allows people to push the limits. it does change the movement a fair bit. there are bench shirts, squat suits and deadlift suits. it's a totally different ball lifting game...

Post a pic of your calf thread starts........now
-
Google "doggcrapp calf training" try it out. I strongly suggest you ease in to this and don't just go do the reps and sets suggested straight up. I'm serious. you will not be able to walk. doggcrapp training in general is pretty good stuff for those of you image inclined peeps.
-
of course you can improve the size and shape of your calves. But take that guy in the picture above, he can throw everything he's got at calves, and they will grow a little and change shape a bit, but they will never look like the calves of a trucker as Birds said earlier. your genes decide how your muscles are in regards to the width, length, where it ties in behind the knee and soleus. depends on your make up of fast twitch or slow twitch fibres. when it comes to calves you can improve what you have, but there will be people who have awesome calves by walking tot he kitchen and back.
