  1. I disagree... I'm also a bit freaked out that ROY of all people thought the RB20 compression was 8.0:1.. Is the world going to tear apart like in Heros now?
  2. there is a MASSIVELY long thread on this forum that is dedicated to part numbers. I guess re-inventing the wheel is kinda fun.
  3. I disagree with R31nismoid.. Coke has too much sugar. as the fattest nation on earth, even ahead of the sepo's, we need to look at alternative refreshing drinks. I would suggest coke ZERO is you must have the full taste of coke or diet coke which I prefer. EDIT - also, why would someone trying to block off a functioning mechanical device be calling the use of a coke can to block it dodgey?
  4. jesus.. just say that is ALOT more than you thought and would like to know what the breakdown of the bill is.
  5. I'm easily pleased.. this will do me fine.. but since I've got heaps of money, I'd have them fit air con too... lol
  6. searched on here and got a part number. called nissan, part number is slightly different.. part number for anyone else that is searching wheel+bearing is: 40210-33P07 Cost = $80.90 Cheers
  7. I need the part number of a front wheel bearing for a 1993 series 1 R33 gtst. has anyone replaced one that may have the part number so I can order it? much appreciated.
  8. I thought TD05 was a mitsubishi/trust turbo. I'm not sure why yours is a TD05D 16G. the mitsu ones are td05h-16g (stock EVO 3 turbo). I had one on my old VR4 and it was making 14psi by 3800rpm (yes different motor but I'm just saying).
  9. his car is a GTS4. so he already has the shortest gears you can get for a skyline. but being a gts4, it also means he is carrying GTR weight (my 4 door gts4 was 1450kg), while being powered by the no torque rb20. you say your boost is controlled by the wastegate spring. but in the dyno thread you have results from 18 psi and 22 psi.. Perhaps you could build yourself a JAYCAR boost controller. it has the ability to keep the wastegate completely shut till the desired psi. that should ramp the boost up quicker. you are getting 205rwkw using 18 psi... similar power could be had using a stock RB25 turbo (well around 190rwkw with 15psi or something.. someone on here actually made 195rwkw on 14psi.. I think it's in that dyno thread) I'd say it would make for a shit load faster car than your car currently is. those too lazy to click his link.. his car details are: R32 GTS4 rb20det stock internals td05h turbo tial 38mm w/g, plumb back setup rx7 flowed and tested injectors (550cc) bosch fuel pump Link ver5 ecu 600x300 hybrid style intercooler k&n filter / custom stainless intake pipe 3'' full exhaust turbo-smart ssq bov (type 2 vee port) Running an Older Link is the problem here, cant keep up at the end and started to detonate, this was the highest run during tuning 221wkw @ 22psi.. Car is currently running 18psi @ 205wkw
  10. LOL... I guess that would have been obvious in an R32 with the battery in the engine bay... jesus!!
  11. there was a thread on here where a guy had a misfire on his GTR. he changed every single thing that everyone suggested. then later, he found that the LOOM, where it goes through the panel work, had rubbed against the metal.. eventually, one wire got scratched open and would keep thouching the bodywork, causing a short out each time, which was like a missfire for the owner. I'm sure it was near the wheel well... might be something else you can add to your list to check. I think he has a missfire thread here.. I know your's isn't a missfire and neither was his really...
  12. with the same power on 255's on 17's (deflated to 19psi), stock suspension, in an S14 series 1, I managed a best of 13.8 with 1.9 60ft. it had a stock clutch so I had more room to play with in launch. Did you deflate your tyres at all? what suspension? 75 degree track temp? I'd say you would at least get a flat 14 in better weather.

  16. $10K any interest?
  17. you know.... it's only 2 bolts that hold the cat to the front pipe. drop it. what have you got to lose?
  18. the shorter version of the OP's story is. "I bought a lemon, it broke, couldn't afford to rebuild it for a LOOOOOONG time, then the engine builder who built it made a mistake and it's f**ked again" no curse, just bad luck.
  19. R31 weighs more than R32 too.. it's almost in the R33 gtst weight. also, red top RB20 is crap compared to silvertop. R32 has the better brakes to begin with. Not sure on DIFF differences between the 2. so, the R32 is lighter, newer, better suspension, more power, better brakes at minimum. but you know.. feel free to go for the wedge. there is a following for them. I was about to buy one that had a silver top and mods already done for about $6K, but an R31 loving freak on here talked me out of it.
  20. AFM. Have you already cleaned it and resoldered the electrodes?
  21. note to self - add psi at slacks creek to list of "do not go to workshops" did anyone mention a price of a nistune board yet? if not, why not? not the tune.. just the board to allow for tuning
  22. Equinox - whats your problem?
  23. URAS - how much are the cams in the CA helping with this figure? The more I read about CA's the more I want to try one as the next car. I'm curious to know if this $900 ATR28 turbo is available as a bolt on to an RB20 and if so, what would it make.
