  1. it would be no more than 100ft. possibly as low as 50ft.
  2. NSW is a complete ripoff. Cant believe they expect u to pay up to 400 a year an a personalised plate. Even if u get a standard AAA.11A pattern in your own choice eg GTR.34R its about 200 per year. With rego/blue slip/pink slip/ etc. etc. being 800 - 900 then insurance approx 2000 your looking at almost 3000 per year just to have the right to drive an imported car. And then they expect u to pay rent for your plates. F*%K that! I am quite happy to stick with my random quick pick plate. U never know I might be able to sell my plates to someone with the initials AOB and was born in 52 for the small price of 3000
  3. Good thinking, I will type something up over the next few days.
  4. Good thinking, I will type something up and see if it gets approved by the moderators.
  5. I might as well finish this thread some 8-9 months later to help anyone else who ends up with similar problems. Since my last post i was caught in a second hail storm and had a total of 35 dints in the bonnet and about 25 in the roof. I finally got my car fixed on the weekend by a guy who works out of his own garage at home in Green valley. about 15 minutes west of liverpool. I stripped the roof lining out myself and the door trims (both sides) to make the job easier and cheaper. The job was done at less than a third of my original quote (and that original quote was only after the first hail storm.) I have a perfectly straight car again now and couldnt be happier. I seriously recommend this guy Frank, he is a top bloke and seemed to care for my car as much as i did. He even fixed up all my stone chips on the wheel arches and the chips on the door edge from hitting stuff when being opened./ If u r in the sydney area and need any dings, dents, creases etc removed then go and see him. PM me and I will be glad to pass on his details.
  6. Thanks paul for the photo, i definately do not have that connector in the fuse panel. Chris, I have shined a torch in the holes there is no screw there either. is it possible i dont have the corrrect ecu for my model car?
  7. The store where i bought my plugs did not have the .8mm gap
  8. I spent about 20 minutes looking inside the panel for the diagnostics connector with no luck. Can somone post a pic, I am sure my car does not have one, which is really starting to confuse me.
  9. are u open on weekends
  10. are they gapped to 1.4 or worn to 1.4? i would be fixing that asap, u will notice a big difference. Nissan recommends heat range 5 but most people say to use 1 range higher for a certain hp increase from stock.
  11. U can get the bcpr6es-11 which are already gapped to 1.1mm and simply tap them in a bit to whatever u desire with the use of feeler gauges.
  12. Mine only had the 1 screw closest to the front near the firewall but has 2 clips that need a good tug to break free. get a commone screwdriver and wedge it between the panel at the back of it, near the door seal.
  13. Does the scan tool plug into the wiring harness or ecu or both? I would be interested in been shown what it does. I am in quakers hill, about 25 mins from penrith
  14. Yeah i took the ecu right out and there were 2 holes, possibly where the LEDs go on the other models. Mine just had a blanking sticker over the holes.
  15. Thats the problem, there is no connector. Can anyone post a pic of where theirs is?
  16. Nope it is the original ECU.
  17. I did the above, the car is running smoother but still gargling. going to try a ecu diagnostic check on the o2 sensor and might as well check everything else at the same time.
  18. I have been trying to do this all morning with no luck. I have read how to enter diag. mode but my ecu does not have the selector screw, and also does not have the diag connector. Therefore i cannot enter diag mode. I dont have any LEDs on the ecu either so i guess i go by the engine check light. I have a 95mdl GTST, anyone else have this problem?
  19. No recent mods, the fuel is bp ultimate and ECU is stock. I might try resetting the ECU today and giving the AFM a clean.
  20. I have a spluttering noise coming from my exhaust, sounds like its blowing bubbles. Its only happening when revs are dropping back to idle though, and i am in neutral. So If i rev it up a bit over 2000rpm and let the throttle go then u can hear it. I cannot notice it while driving. Last week I did an oil and oil filter change, fuel filter change and spark plug change. All was fine till last night when i first noticed the noise. I cant imagine this having anything to do with the problem. Can anyone give me some help as to what it might be? Not sure if its drinking more fuel yet as i have not driven far enough to notice but it almost sounds like there is liquid in the exhaust. BTW. There has been no rain and i have not washed the car. Damo
  21. I dont think it does anything on the GTST, only the GTR it will make a difference. Do a search on "boost restrictor" u will find plenty of info.
  22. If u want to see some awesome drift footage just type "drift" into Kazaa. Though u may need broadband as most of the files are 10-20mb.
  23. Sorry guys, did not realise that points was a so called "add-on."
  24. What happened to the points counter. I only just noticed tonight that it is gone.
  25. Hey guys, wish i could have been there but i had my 3rd year anniversary with the gf. Never would have gotten away with a putty road cruise as a romantic weekend away. Abo Bob, u have some cool pics there but whats with the ghost car about 5 spots infront in this picture
