  1. Has anyone actually looked at a wiring diagram for where this wire 53 goes? I have heard all this talk about it not being good for HICAS but does it actually go to the HICAS computer?
  2. I did a bit of testing today, disconnected the O2 sensor and started the car. No difference from the usual smooth start. As the car was warming up i connected the plug and disconnected the plug sever times and each time i noticed a small change in the revs. The change was very slight but noticeable. I guess this is one way of testing the sensor without a multimeter. Can anyone tell me if there is a diagnostics test for this sensor?
  3. Yes there is a 350z in the 1st
  4. I have downloaded 3DMark2003. Scores in the mid 4000. I remember doing the 2001 a while ago and scored approx 10000. Every couple of years they like to make your machine seem a little less significant compared the current standards. Guess its time to upgrade.... again..... nah, would rather spend money on the car
  5. http://www.ngk.com.au/spark_plug_analysis.htm Check out the above sight. Might have been just a bit of moisture or not sealing properly.
  6. Has anyone found a webpage on this sort of system? I think we need to employ these anti-theft techniques here in Australia. I am starting to get paranoid about spending money on my car in fear of it being stolen. I think its time to let the thiefs live in fear a bit. Lets see how they feel about hot wiring a car not knowing wether or not it will send a 100,000 volt pulse through their spine.
  7. Intermittant faults can be hard to find. I think the most likely place for the fault would be in the tank. Try filling the tank to full and see if the fault only happens when the tank is low on fuel. or below 1/4. If the fault occurs only at a certain quantity then most likely the fault is in the tank. Does anyone know how to get access to the fuel quantity transmitter?
  8. What is aznboy? Sounds like the way to go, getting them shipped from the US. But why would have philips quoted me a price 4 times that amount.
  9. Can anyone please tell me what the little box in the boot below the parcel shelf is. It has maybe 20-30 wires running from it. I only noticed it the other day and after looking at it for 10 minutes or so I could only imagine it to be some relays, or fuses or something similar. This is on my GTST R33 btw. Not sure if other models have it.
  10. There is some good information here: http://www.plasmagarage.com/XENON-bulbs.html
  11. Are u sure they are the same globes though. I also spoke to philips directly and they quoted me $380 for the 2 globes. Not as bad as BMW though where all the latest cars are coming out with xenon HID globes and u would expect to pay $500 for one globe. The philips part no. is 85126 and the type is D2R. If anyone can find a set in Australia for less than $200 I will be impressed. I spent 2 days searching for these. 90% of places had not ever seen or heard of of these globes (One goose at auto 1 told me its not even an automotive globe, I told him yeah I got it off my boat) 9% of the places had some idea what they were when looking through their computer systems, they had none in stock but could order them in for a small fortune. And then autojoy had them in stock for a great price. The brand was Kaixen D2C and they have a webpage www.kaixen.co.kr not in engrish though.
  12. I found a place in sydney that has them in stock. For anyone in future who has this problem try autojoy in paramatta. I got the crystal purple D2C globes (which is the same fitting as D2R) for $200. They will be getting more colors soon.
  13. never mind found them on the web
  14. where is viva garage?
  15. Do u know if the D2R and D2S globes are the same fittings?
  16. I have a Xenon HID kit on my car and need a replacement bulb. Aparently these are not very common in australia yet and I am finding it very hard to find anyone who sells these globes. Can anyone tell me where i can get these globes in australia, preferably sydney? Here is a picture of what they look like.
