Well, I think it looks identical to an S1 surround & my guess is some amatuers ran out off time stripping out the whole lot working from bottom to top. If there are no dangling connectors laying around in the exposed wiring harness then my guess is there is no difference to S1. Maybe a cigar lighter has been placed there but that's about all. I would go for a front cut, probably even RS4 manual would go close or check out a wreck that has not been picked clean. Good luck, car looks awesome champ. Keep us posted on how you go?
Best regards GW
Edit. PS: You have a mate in Chiba Japan? Who knows the 260RS? Pleeeeease keep us posted.
Edit. PPS: Your mate could tell you if he had an aftermarket device installed there? I-color display maybe that drew the unwanted attention?
Hi Fly, dunno if this is any help but you never know. Posted by gts4diehard, copied from page 7 Stagea parts thread if you haven't already spotted it?

Bump...............within this temp range.............best way to test pesky temp senders/recievers is ice cubes in water (sustained) ~4deg C (nice low end point) & boiling water ~100deg C (ballpark high end point). At mean sea level. Ifya got all the sensors/reciever loops cooling/cooking at the same time yer onto it.
Cheers
My youngest son turned up from Qld with a Dakar GTIR pocket rocket & a bundle of HPI magazines with shiny bits on every page. discovered Stagea wagons & having had wagons in the past sorta got interested, with some help from youngest son. To cut a long story short I got brain washed & have been poor ever since. Also, I have noticed that everything in the back of the wagon needs to be strapped down for some reason else it keeps doing laps in the back freight dept? Fords an Commonhores never seemed to do that. I love it!

PS: Ummmmmmmmm...............how much is one of them Getrag equiped R34 N1s' these days?
Or the GTR suspension, drivetrain, extra body strengthening, pizzazzzzzzzzz, wow factor :laughing-smiley-014: toys, toys, toys, toys, yoohoo.
I love my Stagea, sorry.
Ref wheel diameters/profiles front to rear, I'm sure you are right however my GTIR equiped son tells me that my car is only 4wd when the rears break away & to date I have not achieved this. Too busy messing around with it plus tyres cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$. The 35's came with it of the boat so could well have been half shagged before it got into my hands. By the time I got it to WA they was chewed out on the inside edge. I will not be fitting that profile in the future unless it is all four.

Hey Banyou, I was going to have a go at doing the install myself in the backyard, (set wheel at null/zero deg.,) do the timing belt at the same time using SK's excellent thread as the guide. Waddya reckon? Could save some bucks? Learn heaps? worst case scenario car wont start or run like bag of arseholes in which case try again or get mobile mechanic to come round & reverse ballsup?
Cheers GW
Oh.......well............a vegetarian?
Seriously, I saw a lot of these wagons in NZ on a not so recent recent trip before I discovered "NISSAN" & (never having seen them before), I thought they were a really cool wagon, had potential even, compared to the others getting around starting with F & C & T. Just my 2 bobs worth.
Hi Anthony, found this writeup today, looking for something else as usual. Did the exact same thing yesterday (installed splitfire coilpaks) Same procedure exactly, one pot/piston/coilpak at a time, did not drop allen key but. While in the innards took some numbers down which may be of use to others, (RB26);
Wiring harness c/w plugs to coilpaks Nissan # 24079-24U10
Coilpak ignition module Nissan # 22020-05U00 (also on module) Hitachi # DIS6-01B
