Hey John, thanks for the info there on the Stagea auctions, good Autechs are still around but they ain't cheap. End of story. Off topic a bit (sorry) but something else peaked my interest, you mention alarm for $150. Is that supplied & fitted, insurer approved etc., if so who is doing that in the Perth area? I am assuming WA price because you are located in Coogee. Way of topic but a plug for the "WA Club", were you on the second Stagea cruise to Mundaring from South Street? You could have seen a white grade 4 1998 O-te-teku right there. Right now it is in issue 272 Unique Cars mag., page 145 SVI add. Me & the Grandkids went to pick it up. Cheers GW

Glad to hear your family is all in one piece, hope it all turns out OK for you Dale, insurance & such. It really doesn't look too bad from the pic. Maybe time for some Dolphin gear? regards GW

Don't s'pose you would like to share the procedure? I would like to do some preventative maint/explorative myself & would be interested in the "howto" before I go ahead & stuff something up. Old age & cunning & all that..........pre-treated mirror backing plate sounds good. Cheers GW

So John, how do the numbers pan out for grade 4 - 4.5 under 70,000kms? Interested to see collated prices landed (I know what compliance costs) on the East coast Oz if you have it available. Cheers Edit: 1998

Hi Frank, thanks for the response there dude......................... If'n ya could get me a shop price that would be good. Gotta be black but. I can get a shiny one over here no trouble. Shipping for a small liteweight item like that/this would be about 10-15 bucks tops I reckon. Cheers GW

Hi there, just came across this query, lookin for something else as usual but with reference to my most venerable Apexi Auto (Turbo) Timer application guide in english, the following details are listed. 1. Nissan Stagea 260RS Autech version plug type = N4-a 2. Skyline R32 RB20DE throo RB26DETT ('91.8~93.7) plug type = N4-a 3. Skyline R33 RB25DET throo RB26DETT ('95.1~98.4) plug type = N4-a 4. Skyline R34 RB26DETT ('99.1~02.8) plug type = N4-a 5. Skyline R34 RB25DET ('98.5~01.5) plug type = N4-a Dunno if this helps but there it is. There are other models listed outside these ranges if you have a specific model enquiry. Cheers GW

Hi Yunis, OK, so the complier is a newbie? Take all yer auction pics with you to compare what you bort with what you get is my advice. Any interior bits that are missing (my twin stubby holders went missing, $120 to replace) or bits that need to be changed for compliance (hi flow cats, exhaust bits for example but not limited to,............) belong to you. Make sure they is stashed in the back of the wagon or docketed for transport home & storage in your shed (not their's), for later. Get all the part no's of consumables, brake pads, that need to be changed for compliance, also oils, filters etc., save reinventing the wheel later & that's the compliers job & what he gets his dough for hey? To do the ferreting & find the right bits. All saves you time & money later. And......enjoy the ride. Cheers GW PS: Suncorp, third party, interstate with temp permit. Another job for complier to sort out imho anyways.
-
Hey Brycey, I got temporary transit visa in Brisbane at RTA, once that was done round to Suncorp me & the complier's gohper toddled clutching paperwork & got 3rd party ins for the journey. Period of transit (about a week) & driving route was specified. You are correct in saying that you can't get comprehensive ins on temp registered vehicle however but 3rd party is better than nothing at all imho. Cheers GW

Bump....................so how was the ride Yunis? Haveya got it parked in the loungeroom yet?
-
I could probably dig up receipts for an estimate if I got motivation, Brisbane to Kal but. dunno if that is the same. Anyway it's not the gas it's the meals & accom/showers/bed that screw the moths outta the wallpaper. Cheers GW oops

Hey Dude, my bet is Mothers Day will be an occaision in your house this year. Specially if ya tell the kids they'll get icecream and jelly! They'll be onto their dad like the proverbial. Enjoy.

My 2cents, I got one of these same color etc., looks like it may have been submerged but for the price could be worth parting out? Ifnya keen. cheers
-
Dumb question here fellas, could this be due in part to increased flow characteristics = increased heat gradient/transfer through exhaust system causing faster rise in temp/thermal shock (expansion/contraction) in cast manifold but not dramatic downstream in less dense materials in dumps/catback system? Like, to avoid this problem do the full nine yards; exhaust/dumps/catback? Just wondering if it is an introduced problem is all.
-
Yup, rattle gun works for me, even better ifya got the six sided impact sockets. Just be gentle rattlin' them back up is all.
-
PS: Can you pm post price freight engraving & delivery estimate or action criteria (eg numbers req'd before production run/if still available) please. regards GW
