  1. Went a bit overboard on eBay today, picked up my slimline fan ready for the front mount intercooler, and ended up getting a Nismo dash after putting in an offer... Bit sad, but ah well! Also picked up a Repco equivalent cabin air filter. Got the carbon one for $25.80 trade. They were out of Ryco ones and I figure this would be fine. Going in tomorrow with the runner spacer (finally!). Took the car for a thrash through the hills... man there are some idiot drivers up there, but makes me even more excited for the sway bars!
  2. 410km off 68L of 100 octane E10. Works out to 16.6L/100km by my maths. I'm pretty happy with that. Driving has been a mix of economy loving highways and short blasts. The way I've driven it, I was expecting more like 20L/100km (esp when the fuel light went on and the screen told me to hurry up and fill the thing in weird Japanese). Plus the E10 I was expecting slightly worse economy. Plus, it wasn't as expensive as I was expecting today with the Easter premium! Win!
  3. Well I've put in the query with Dolphin and I'll let you know the outcome. A LOT of nice shiny stuff on there.
  4. I have a bank of music I can use, so I think we'll be right. Plus my new SLR does video, we'll have it covered!
  5. I meant on the Friday night, 10am Saturday works a treat. And yeah I'll bring the cameras and edit it together. We can do some cool stuff with these cameras...
  6. Haha a little of both... Car has turned up from Japan with a mini disc player, so I can't be arsed pulling the dash apart more than once. Want to do stereo, TV etc all at once. I'll call them tomorrow and see. I think I have an FM modulator here that I could use with my phone...
  7. Do you know what frequency the audio for the drive in is these days? I haven't got a band expander yet. No point in going if I can't hear the audio...
  8. Looks like the thermo fans are still available... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/12-INCH-LOW-PROFILE-HIGH-PERFORMANCE-THERMO-FAN-/120697595024?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c1a232490#ht_1556wt_689 They're still available with the wiring kit, but looking at this thread seems like the wiring kit isn't required. If I have just given everyone the wrong link please let me know...
  9. Will have soon... AM Performance are about to start producing M35 exhausts, dumps and mid pipes, and my car is the test car. Should have some pics in a week or two, and will hopefully be dyno testing at the end of the month at the SAUSA dyno day.
  10. You Sydney residents are a different breed... I think I've decided on the Nismo S-Tune pads for now, and upgrade the rotors when they're knackered to slotted ones. I'll probably upgrade calipers at the next pad change. Sounds like that should be fine for my current driving.
  11. Shame. And I mean that in the nicest possible way Do we have to do drive in and cruise on the same day? Or can we do a Friday night drive in thing then cruise on a Saturday, not necessarily the next day?
  12. 13th and 14th work for me, 13th would be a good end to the week, just prefer to start a bit earlier than 10 Parafield Bunnings sounds good. Is this with or without the drive in? Do we need to do both at the same time?
  13. Excuse my C34 ignorance but shouldn't you be getting more torque? Power looks great! Just was expecting a different torque curve...
  14. Another drive in idea... Cars 2 comes out in June/July
  15. Yeah not trying to hurry things up, just curious (and itching to fit them and drive the thing! )
  16. How many people would be keen? Any chance we could get Dolphin to drag the moulds out for a limited run of say 5-10? (Of course having no idea how many mega dollars would be required...)
  17. What does that make ETA? Can't wait!
  18. We're hoping to back to back test the new exhaust setup and the old one on dyno day... Big Fella hasn't got a chance!
  19. Do you mean the "Power Duct" on the top of the airbox? I think only G35s and/or V35s came with those, and you may as well make your own.
  20. I used 98 when I first got the car and had no issues with it. Pretty decent economy, but that was all highways. I've found no serious difference in economy between the 100 E10 and the 98 when doing highway driving, and haven't had a tank of 98 round town for comparison. I don't know if the 100 makes any difference, but it feels like it. Alfalfa was bitching at the last SA cruise about my car having a lot more go than his AXIS, so maybe there's something to it. Don't care if it is the placebo effect!
  21. My girlfriend was telling be about a conversation between her and her mum the other day... "So you're driving tonight. Driving your car or Ryan's?" "My car. I haven't driven Ryan's, and I don't want to." "Why not? It's just a station wagon." The next 5 minutes involves her mum, who hates me, being corrected by my girlfriend and her dad... I've warned her... wait till I get the GZone remap and the throttle restriction removed...
  22. I found a link to the Nismo pads at what looks like a reasonable price: http://www.nismoshop.com/servlet/the-767/NISMO-REAR-BRAKE-PADS/Detail Fleabay only has fronts and they're dearer
  23. Yes you should, they look awesome!
  24. I haven't gone down that path yet, but I will. I figured when I got to that point I'd need an Emanage or something similar regardless of whether I get the G-Zone done.
  25. There's enough demand right here to justify the effort I'd say it'll be easier with a Japanese translator, just have to work out cost and procedure, then maybe we can organise to send a few over, assuming the first one goes ok? Happy to be the guinea rat, sounds like it'll be worthwhile regardless of what aftermarket stuff I run later.
