  1. Is that 17/18 of Movember? If so I'm out, I'll be at Rally Victoria.
  2. PM Sunkist, he's doing the conversions over there, should be able to do TV tuners too.
  3. Really? My thought was "Will it fit"
  4. Always Jase, sounds good.
  5. Scotty is in Melbourne. If you need it fitted in Adelaide talk to AM Performance, Andrew is happy to install Scotty's gear once it arrives. If you want to replace the rear too, which I don't think is quite as urgent, see what Scotty can provide, talk to Andrew at AM, or get a Jap exhaust. I haven't had any dealings with Sinergy, but haven't heard anything particularly good. These cars are easy to service yourself, most people seem to DIY, so I wouldn't bother taking it back there.
  6. I have a rubber one around that I still need to fit Matt, I can measure it for you. Let me know if you find them and I'll measure on the weekend.
  7. Do as Scotty says and ditch the dump pipe and front pipe. If you need someone to install let me know and I can point you in the right direction. You'll end up with one new high flow cat, instead of two old, restrictive, f*cked ones. In terms of suspension check up in Adelaide, I wouldn't bother. Just chuck in a set of BCs. I've got a set of BRs ($1299), Scotty cheaped out and got the V1s ($1199), which he's happy with. I'd probably also change the front end bushes. Shift kit is a good idea but I don't think MV have the right kit. PM Jetwreck and see when he's doing another run, MV Automatics can install if you need. You shouldn't need to take it back to Sinergy for anything now, and I'd expect you could get the cat replaced for less than $550 (If thats all you're doing - don't - replace dump and front pipe).
  8. I've been running the Hankook Ventus RS3 for about 6 months now, almost 5000kms. Been awesome wet or dry, but haven't got them on the track yet. Wear has been ok, might get 20k or so out of them. I probably won't buy again unless they make a 245/45r18. The 40 profile puts my speedo out by too much. Unless someone cracks the ECU code and makes it possible to calibrate the speedo.
  9. Here's to the next update. Hopefully they fix that induction issue you're having, introduce car tuning, and fix the physics. Physics are fun, don't get me wrong, but a FWD bucket being as tail happy as a RWD muscle car just doesn't feel right. Really need more time to play, but getting there.
  10. So its not that unusual at all, and the OP should shop around?
  11. Curbed the wheels yet?
  12. You got the rear one Leon, and I'd say the front one is a lot more noticeable than the rear. So far anyway, but haven't thrown it around some twisties yet.
  13. Ask Scotty mate, posted something up the other day that Dale just bought and installed. This IIRC: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AFTERMARKET-THERMO-COOLING-FAN-CONTROLLER-2-SENSORS-3-RELAY-ENGINE-GUARDIAN-EG3S-/180968766415?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a22943bcf&_uhb=1 What fan shroud are you using?
  14. How about that other rear bar Dale - any plans?
  15. Conclusion? Credit unions aren't quite the heartless bastards the rest of the finance industry is. They're prepared to negotiate to help the customer.
  16. Does that mean if I'm the secretary for a dentist I can start performing root canals? My point was that if you look around its possible. I had no idea my case was an exception to the rule, but I'd be willing to bet if it was as easy as it was for me it wasn't a one off, so look around until you find someone at a decent rate who's prepared to offer what you need.
  17. I thought you worked in IT? Not a copper, not an existing PCU customer, and they were able to offer me what my bank of a million years couldn't: a secured loan on a 2001 Stagea, which was about 10 years old at the time. I'd need to double check the interest rate, but off the top of my head it was 11% and at the time I fixed it, which hasn't worked out to be my best ever decision but I had the option either way. I have no reason to expect this was a long way from the norm, since I didn't do any particularly special negotiating or anything else.
  18. That was last year Aaron. Practices have loosened up a bit more now. I got about 10-11% secured. It was Police Credit Union in Adelaide - great people to deal with, and their car loan was rated one of the best in the Canstar ratings. The guy even sent me a text message when I was driving the car back from Sydney to make sure all was OK! All I'm saying is what you blokes are saying above is based on your experiences. It is not fact, even if some people make out that everything they post is, and the OP may have better luck shopping around than you all have. I certainly have had a better experience than those listed above.
  19. I must be the only bloke in the world with a secured loan on a car that was 11 years old when I bought it. I went through a credit union, they were great. Much cheaper and more flexible than a bank. My car was already in Australia though, but don't discount secured loans based on the above feedback.
  20. Says the man who is trying to/has sold his Nissan and wants a Mitsubishi... Just buy another Stag and be happy again man!
  21. You mean the body panels, right? Because they've got a control chassis, control suspension, control brakes, aero equivalency, engine equivalency... Oh, and if they made a RWD V8 Altima, I'm pretty sure there would be bogans galore in the local Nissan dealership straight away. Shit, even I'd be in there for a look.
  22. How hard was it to fit the vinyl Rudi? Wouldn't mind doing mine but could be a pain in the arse with the twin sunroofs...
  23. Epic jet whine, so I'm trying to play it safe for a bit. When I'm ready for it to explode I'll wind the boost up.
  24. Why so low boost? I thought stock was 12psi, 14psi on Axis. Needs moar boost
  25. Haha ok let's see how I go. Not ready for the stocker to explode just yet.
