  1. I've spent a fair bit of time this morning searching (really interesting to see what some of you guys were doing with M35s 2-3 years ago!), and I haven't found the answer to a fairly basic question: What is the stock fuel pressure for these things? I want to hook the adjustable FPR up and tune it back to standard pressure. Or is it best to stick the wideband on first, and work of the AFRs instead of fuel pressure?
  2. Thanks for the feedback guys. So am I correct in thinking so far the EVC is the better unit, and the stepper motor on the EVC is better than the solenoid on the eboost2? I'll have another look and see if I want (and can justify) the extra features of the 6.
  3. Plenty of threads on boost controllers, but nothing on the new Jap spec EVC6, and nothing comparing these two specifically, so figured I'd give this a crack. I need a boost controller for my Stagea. ECU will be a HKS Fcon V Pro, turbo just a high flow. I've already upgraded fuel pump and an adjustable FPR. I'm slowly doing all the supporting mods before I get the high flow and tune the ECU, and one of those is the boost controller. I'm looking at the HKS EVC6 and the Turbosmart EBoost 2. Main thing is that it does a good job and is relatively easy to setup. I like the fact that I can tune boost by RPM or speed on the EVC using EasyWriter, but I'm not sure how practical that is. Just seems to cater for more expansion later. I don't currently have a boost gauge. Anyone got experience with one or both of these? Any particular issues with the solenoid and the actual boost control?
  4. I think it has little CF panels stuck on though.
  5. No worries mate, just bring it round this weekend and I'll make sure it gets fitted to the right car...
  6. Yep, I'm down for whatever Dale's not making. And what Dale is making, if he can stop using them to beat backpackers...
  7. I did PS when I did the cooler. Drain fluid, hook up cooler, top up fluid, done. I didn't dick around with any bleeding procedures, and it works fine.
  8. There is no rear strut brace for the M35. Not sure if the V35 sedan is the same rear suspension setup though? There is only underbody bracing. Check out the OX stuff Syd linked.
  9. I bet there'll be an interesting conversation with a used car salesman... Best of luck Leon!
  10. I think he's too busy killing backpackers mate!
  11. About time! So... when do the mods start?
  12. About $35-40 trade, mine didn't come with O rings.
  13. Nice. I haven't looked into it yet, are these things a pain in the neck to bleed the cooling system too?
  14. Why bother arguing? I use Win 7 and MacOS X daily. And you know what the big horrible secret is? THEY'RE THE f**kING SAME!!! Anything good that Apple do, Microsoft copy, and vice versa, to the point where any clued up computer user can switch back and forth easily.
  15. Which radiator did you get Dale? Few hour job to fit I guess? Sounds like a bitch...
  16. Nah, Speed US: http://stream.speedtv.com/corvette
  17. Ten have Eurosport. Speed is awesome, but only online when it's not on US TV. They do let you pick in car cams though, and live follow the Corvettes around
  18. The sideswipe that put delta wing out was interesting. As was Anthony Davidsons back breaking crash. Poor guy. What stream are you watching Alex?
  19. Good work Mike, keep us posted. Should start a new thread with a date poll. And remove that "(coming soon)" from your profile! You've got the car now!
  20. So less than 24 hours after getting the new wheels on, actually did some impromptu tarmac rallying... Coming along a suburban street at night, in the dark, doing the posted limit (60), and all of a sudden the car hit a dip and got what felt like pretty serious air - felt like it cleared the second dip, and landed down on an angle, drivers side first. Classic rally style. Wish there was photographer! Car looks fine, no obvious damage. Woman and I were ok, I just had a headache from where my head hit the roof pretty hard. Turned around to see why there wasn't a sign warning of the dip to see there was, but the council hadn't pruned the tree in front of it, and the sign was completely obscured when approaching from the direction I was approaching from. Other direction is fine, both signs are clear and obvious. Will try to get it up on the hoist next weekend and have a proper look, but it feels and looks fine, so I'm hoping it hasn't done any damage to anything I can't see.
  21. Cheers Dale. Never sealed wheels, so I'll head down and see what I can get. Good call with the brush too, getting between those spokes could be a pain. The Wurth stuff does a great job, never had any issues with it, but I'll probably give the Bowden's Own wheel clean a go. Really happy with the rest of their stuff, and have alook at that Autoglym sealer. Good to hear the timing works. Keen on going an extra degree?
  22. Isn't standard 10/8? Not too bad, firm without being too stiff.
