  1. Thanks guys. Yeah the offset worked out well in the end. And they do look a lot like an old school race/rally wheel, which I like I'm heading down to Autobarn tomorrow to get some proper wheel cleaning gear. The QFM pads are pretty low dust until you get to the track. Then the fronts just caked the wheels, backs not quite so bad. Dad has some great Wurth gear that you just spray on and soak in, then hit it with the hose (with some pressure). Haven't heard of sealing them before, I'll look into it, thanks Alex.
  2. Finally fitted the new wheels and tyres! The old ones were a bit knackered... Although perhaps I could reuse them as semis? New tyres are Hankook Ventus R-S3 245/40R18 XL, so they have a higher load rating. Mounted on some new Braid Winrace A 18x8 +30s... Front: Rear: The offset isn't too bad in the end: Also put on Volk Formula nuts, which seem to look good in combination. All in all, pretty happy, and they're much nicer to drive! Big thanks to SA Motorsport Tyres for a great deal, and a lot of help putting it all together. Looking forward to the next track day! More pictures tomorrow after Moby has had a wash!
  3. I'm looking forward to having some new boots to drive on! I'll probably just do the same then. Might see how 80ft-lb feels, but I'll just make sure I keep the rattle gun off.
  4. Finally picking up my new wheels and tyres tonight, should have photos of them on tomorrow! I've got a set of Volk nuts to go with them - anyone know the correct wheel nut torque? 350Z guys seem to be around 80ft-lb?
  5. When I ordered one last the dealer (Main North Nissan in Adelaide) had a listing for the Stagea, and were quite happy to double check the part numbers were the same with NM35 and 350Z. They did everything and I put it in on the long weekend, right as rain.
  6. I think I'm picking up two at the next cruise aren't I Lets get this party started! When?! Mike, you organising route etc? Def in for Grumpy's too.
  7. Let me know if you find anything. Picking up my wheels Saturday, and I've been told that I 'can't' fit centre caps. Challenge accepted!
  8. So they have to be SSR ones?
  9. I don't think you would significantly notice the strut brace in isolation, but when you pair it with the sway bars, coilovers, etc, it makes a difference. Mine turns in significantly better than a number of others, and that was before I changed all the bushes, and before the under body bracing. It feels unbelievable, and I've had guys drive mine, and be passengers, and they can't believe the way it changes direction. Sure, its no MX-5, but it's about 800kg heavier, and its designed for people who actually have friends/a life.
  10. So Scotty, when are you joining the 400kW club?
  11. My dad is a diesel mechanic, has one of these: http://www.dpchip.com/home/ Had it for a while, had one on his Audi Q7 and that picked up about 25kW, when they swapped to the A5 Sportback had it flashed and pickup wasn't as significant but still a pickup. Ended up buying another one for his new Amarok, and sees an increase in power and economy. Not sure about that ebay one in particular but the DP Chips are worth it.
  12. Why not just incorporate it into the stereo? Ian, new front bumper looks heaps better!
  13. You can already get the Freeway Dolphin ones, and they do stiffen up the front quite substantially, but if you plan on running a plenum spacer there isn't anything available. If you were going to get something, you'd have to get it to go behind the plenum. There's a little bit of room back there, but not sure if you could design something stiff enough with that many bends?
  14. Lol. Don't you already have the OX bars? Just get into the next run.
  15. Might be worth a go. There's a guy near you Paul (import_zone) with a reader that would be able to help you there.
  16. PM Mike (Impul535W). He had all kinds of funky issues with his car when it arrived in Australia. The relay was part of the problem but I think they had to change over the pump in the end?
  17. He said it looked awesome Mike, couldn't have been you! Could have been the car though...
  18. After work if you're willing to come to me, otherwise on the weekend? I have moved out north though, so PM me when you want to sort something out (or i think you have my mobile number?)
  19. If you get desperate Paul let me know, and we can swap over the relay. Worked with Mike's, he tried pumps and all sorts and I think it was relay in the end. As soon as I put his relay in my car, I had a fault light and 2WD.
  20. Cheers for that. Think I'll sell my camera and get the Koleos one for a better fit! I'm sure if you contact the seller you'll find one that has the right colour. I have the TV/pop up screen and an aftermarket deck. All works well. If you look at that link I posted, you can see the hole above the air con controls for the TV screen or pocket. I can't see why it'd make a difference, as it connects to the stock TV tuner in the boot.
  21. Surely R34 would be more likely to work than G35, unless you could get one from a G35x? I'd think the 4WD and 2WD sensors would be calibrated differently?
  22. Looks like it's worth the effort then Dale! Easy solution (if, of course, you don't strip and rebuild/repaint!)
  23. Brilliant writeup! Thanks! So the Koleos camera is an identical size to the oem light, and looks stock when installed? This is probably what you're looking for to fix your stereo: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Metra-99-7604-2003-2004-Infiniti-G35-Radio-AC-Dash-Kit-/120914724559?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c271446cf
  24. So you earthed the chassis side of the negative wire as well as the relay side? Makes sense. Probably a better solution, no decent earths under there. Have to run a wire somewhere, may as well be back to the battery.
