  1. Like supercharger? Sounds good mate. Look forward to seeing pics when it's in your ownership, and progress on your plans!
  2. Cool, thanks. I'll wait to hear from you on the others, and I'll see if anyone else is interested in the third bar. Looking forward to another package expertly wrapped by your kids!
  3. No worries Dale, no mad panic. Figures with the bends. Worth doing or should we look at OX?
  4. Count me in. I'll be in for the rear crossmember brace too if you do one. Any possibility of a strut brace that fits around the raised plenum? Anyone interested in a GB for the OX centre rear subframe bar if Dale isn't making them? Should be this one: http://www.oxmotorsports.co.jp/7_9.html At current exchange rates they're ~$170 plus shipping. I guess getting the bends right is the big issue Dale?
  5. Yep. I'll see how it goes. I knew you'd be interested. I can find out more if you want? Its got 13v in it at the moment, but according to the battery guys it would probably have lost ~20% of its capacity. So it should be fine, but if I'm not going to drive the car for a while I need to hook the battery up to a charger that floats.
  6. Leon, you have the toe and camber bolts though, right? So may not be completely useful?
  7. I got my battery back today. They saved the one with only 1.9V in it, or so it appears. I got a chemical lesson that I'm sure only Leon would be vaguely interested in, but basically it has something to do with calcium based batteries using fibreglass as an insulator around the Lead. Apparently they don't behave well when their voltage drops below a certain amount (I think it was 3V?). So while it has likely now had its live reduced by up to 20%, it should be fine for now after some heavy duty charging. Looking forward to chucking it in tomorrow and going for a drive!
  8. Has anyone done any more on this? Might be easier now that we know where the speed sensor wires are from Leon's work on the cruise control? The tyres I'm looking at don't come in 245/45R18, closest I can get is 245/40. I can get something similar in a 245/45, but it's an extra ~$100/corner, and not quite as good.
  9. Hey Dave, now that you've had them for a while, have you had a chance to drive on them in the wet? I'm pretty interested to find out how good they are in the wet, as I really need an 'all round' tyre.
  10. Looks good Paul. What about this for a deck? http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/products/25/109/281/DVH-P435UB/index.html Most when I was looking was a single DIN with a fold out screen. I think you've seen mine? Works well.
  11. Lunch is good, and I've been meaning to go to Grumpys for a while. Sounds good.
  12. Mike's going to bring his to show off I guess! I'm down, depending on weekend. Sundays usually work best for me but if you get the right weekend a Saturday afternoon might be good too.

  14. No one said that. A proper CAI setup, regardless of pod or panel, is always going to flow better than a standard airbox.
  15. I put a pod on mine. Still need to redo the setup with the new pod and intake pipe, but I found an increased AFM voltage on the Informeter, which I interpreted as increased airflow compared to the Blitz panel in the stock box with the inspection cover removed. Intake temps were about the same, but I didn't check that as closely. Considering the pod was old, and fitting was intended as an experiment to see if I could liberate enough room for a catch can, I think with a new pod (which I've got in the shed) and an intake setup to do it justice I'd be able to see noticeable gains.
  16. Pain in the arse. Oh well, sort it out when I get back I guess.
  17. Went to drive it for the first time in 2-3 weeks, found the battery was flat. Put it on charge for about 6 hours, checked voltage, 1.5v. Pulling it out and putting it on a deep charge for a couple of days to see if it'll be ok, since it's only about 6-9 months old.
  18. Did anyone else on the waiting list get an email from JPNZ about the workshop manual? They're about to start work, want a $50 deposit, manual will cost $150NZ and will take 2 months. Anyone keen?
  19. With my Freeway Dolphin strut brace in, I have approx 3-4mm for a plenum spacer. IMHO the only way you'd be able to run a strut brace is if you ran it back to the firewall in a triangular design, or maybe something like this: http://www.nengun.com/tein/performance-bar Mine is already grazing the felt under the bonnet. Wouldn't want to get much closer.
  20. I have a complete set of stock suspension in SA if you're keen... Are they Ford Territory rims?
  21. I can mail you over my strut brace if you want to test it out. I'd be more interested to see if you can make a strut brace that will allow you to keep the plenum spacer, because my Freeway Dolphin strut brace doesn't. As Leon said - whats the go? Dale making these up? How much?
  22. Have you tried that Dynamat stuff Scotty? They do a floor material that's supposed to be pretty good. Thanks for the ground work on the floor mats. Cheaper than the Nismos that were looking like my only option. My mats are actually in good nick, bar the drivers which is ruined. Cargo mat would be good too!
  23. Yup, and the eManage. Can't tune the Nismo sadly.
  24. Sounds like a good plan Jules. Bear in mind a good turbo back exhaust will also increase flow and you'll probably see a bit extra boost. When I did mine, I gained 3PSI. Also do some searching about the turbo banjo bolt, and budget for a turbo. Sounds like a Hypergear rebuild is the go these days, for around $1k depending on what you're looking to gain. Have a read through these forums and m35stagea.info and I'm sure you'll find a heap more info (and have a heap more questions!).
