  1. Depends. If its multipoint and auto arming it sounds like it conforms to Australian specs. Mine came in with the Nissan option alarm, and the compliance workshop left it in there. As far as I can tell there was no immobiliser, so when the Nissan system started playing up I had the whole lot ripped out and replaced with an Australian standards system. AFAIK no one makes an Australian standards approved alarm with remote start. I was thinking the same lines as you originally, but if its not AS, no point in getting it. Give Andrew from AM a call and ask him, 0401 865 373. He'll know, and he'll be happy to tell you the ins and outs of all the different options. I wouldn't run cat-less though, and from what I hear there's bugger all difference performance wise between cat-less and a decent high flow cat.
  2. Nah Boostworx have moved. Thought they used to be off Port Road, now they're at Cavan.
  3. SPC Bolts arrived yesterday, and were waiting on my desk for me when I got back from Sydney. I'll send PMs out later today!
  4. I'd spend a bit more than that on an alarm and immobiliser... remember it has to be Australian Standards approved or you'll be in trouble with the insurance if the car gets stolen...
  5. Thats what I figured. Cheers. Nick, already knew about the midpipe - I'd recommend anyone upgrade their midpipe. Mine is heaps better now that it has no muffler and just a high flow cat
  6. Sounds good Robbie. I thought your old one was a write off?
  7. Makes perfect sense, but did you notice much of a difference when you did the cat back later? Thats what I'm wondering. Seeing the difference between OEM and after market dump pipe and mid pipe, I know they'd make a huge difference on their own. Just curious what a cat back adds.
  8. Q: How much difference does a cat back make to performance if you do the dump and mid pipe? I did mine in one hit, I'd have no idea. Is it even worth it if you want a quiet exhaust?
  9. You need a LHD battery cover. And I think there was some custom work involved, but Cam (iamhe77) can confirm.
  10. 1000cc injectors will give you the headroom you need to go e85 later on, because no doubt in time you will want to do this. Price difference isn't significant either. Injectors Online do the 725cc Xspurts for the same price as the 1000s. Might be worth PM'ing a couple of the SAU traders and asking them? I got good pricing from PHR.
  11. I was thinking a central meeting point, maybe Le Cornu's or something, meeting at 10.30 for an 11am start. Who's in so far? Midnight-Runner Marshstag ducati02 JZZ20 Glitch 2000 RS Stageas2 maybe? Let your other, non SAU dwelling, friends know too. Be good to pull a decent crowd. Be good to see Dunc grace us with his presence... been a while...
  12. Trans coolers are cheap - probably $100 or less. I was at Repco the other day and they were flogging the big PWRs for ~$90. Do like the deleted roof rail look on the C34...
  13. Lol already did that.
  14. What happened to the original Stagea that you needed the motor AND wiring?
  15. That's disgusting Iain. First the Beetle, then this comes out?
  16. I've never had a Jap cat back, I thought the main reason was noise, since they're all certified to a certain (quiet) volume. I'm extremely happy with mine as is, and for me it's right in the sweet spot volume wise. That said, if mine is too loud, you can just order it with a bigger muffler, problem solved? Depending on who does it locally, either way you're going to get a quality result. I think it'll probably come down to volume, and if it goes to someone who hasn't got experience building exhausts for these things it'll probably be too loud. Mine was first time, but at least you can go back to the local person and get it fixed.
  17. If you run Motul, my local Repco is clearing it out and replacing it with Gulf Western. Not sure if its the other stores too? I've noticed no difference between the Valvoline semi synth I was using and the Motul 300v I dropped in at the last change. I have one more change worth of 300v then I'll be trying the new Gulf Western Syn X 6000, as by then I should be on e85.
  18. I think everyone is operating on the assumption it'll be the new Altima. Have a flick through the new Auto Action, some interesting stuff in there.
  19. In Auto Action, V8 Supercars were quoted as saying they wanted to stick to a 5L displacement, but this wasn't a rule yet. I think they're keeping their options open at this stage. You sir, need to go to the Kelly Racing Facebook page and see all the Holden bogans going nuts about it. Some of the stuff.. geeze... they need a sit down.
  20. Who was that price through? I'm sure people on here have paid closer to $1k through Jesse Streeter. Seems a lot...
  21. I have just received confirmation that the supplier has received the order in full. With any luck we'll all have our bushes by the end of the week. When I receive the express tracking numbers, I will PM everyone who was getting their order shipped direct with details. Thanks!
  22. Cheers Nick. Figured as much. Hard to tell what is and isn't the same 4WD to 2WD in these things...
  23. V35 ditches the 20kg box of baffles doesn't it? There's a huge benefit there alone.
  24. Search... we we're talking about this just yesterday! As far as I can tell, your options are: ScottyM35 bellmouth dump pipe AM Performance split dump pipe Rex Kelway bellmouth dump pipe With the exhaust, AM Performance do a complete solution, turbo back, that is interchangeable with everything else. So you can buy a Jap exhaust (Legalis, Blitz, etc) and buy a midpipe from AM, or buy the mid and cat back from AM. I think you can get a v35 midpipe too?
  25. 350Z parts?
