  1. Lol righto, better get on it then. No issue going 1000s off the bat as long as they'll be happy at ~50%. Once I've done that I'll be looking at keeping it as is for a few months then drop a turbo in.
  2. Must have missed the dyno results too... Scotty, hurry up and finish your setup! That way I can buy one set of injectors rather than buying one set now, and upgrading later! Get the Fcon tuned yet?
  3. So Scotty, you fit that GTX in keeping the same dump pipe?
  4. We've opened that can of worms before, and I don't believe anyone has ever been able to prove either way? Spoke to Andrew about it, and it sounds like a good Bellmouth beats a crap split, and vice versa. He has found merging the gases later works better - and I can't argue with him. Power and boost increases I saw on the dyno backs him up.
  5. Is the 3076 externally the same size as what you've got? You might have a hard time fitting it in... Was thinking I only needed to do injectors if I was going E85, and sticking will good old reliable 98 for now. When Andrew was designing his stuff, I made him design it to bolt to the factory mount points so that if someone wanted your dump, and a Jap exhaust, it'd all fit. Funnily enough when I put out the EOI on the AM group buy, most people wanted mid pipes!
  6. yeah yeah yeah, im getting there! Fuel pump in next weekend, then to decide whether to tune as is, or upgrade injectors. Will need to start considering the turbo soon I think... Does your dump fit the standard mounting points Scott? Can someone order your dump, Andrews mid pipe and a jap cat back?
  7. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/120782819640?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 They look pretty good, and delivery was fast. I'd like to get some LED indicators too but doesn't look like I'm going to have much luck there. I am tempted to buy some of the T20s I've seen on ebay and try them - some claim to have a resister to stop the 'fast blinking' problem you can get.
  8. Replaced the bottom headlight bulbs, but now going to look into what the top ones are. Tomorrow aiming to get the new LED parkers in, and hopefully run the wiring for the new fuel pump, if not get it all finished. Got in it today though to find the air con blowing hot air for the first time, and three of the four windows won't go down. I think the thermo fan is buggered. Also picked up a small trans cooler today to use as the power steering cooler. Think it will be ok, hopefully won't be too small.
  9. I wouldnt worry about the Jap postage, both will cost similar. My vote would obviously be AM Performance. Drive it in there, and Andrew will take care of it. Also means if it isn't exactly what you want you can get it tailored. I did the whole thing in one go, but I am curious what kind of gains you'd get doing just the dump pipe.
  10. If its not, come anyway. There are always rides available.
  11. Sounds good then. I'm getting close to maxing out the AFM, but injectors should be fine. For me, this is a decision between throwing in the ID1000s now, or when I eventually do an E35 tune. If I need them now, I'll put them in. But sounds like I don't? Car is running stock turbo and only half an intake pipe. Not the most serious mods.
  12. Good point. Looks like my Aero bar, so that'd be my guess.
  13. Well that's kind of my plan. Do pump and get tune with MAP sensor. Will that cause an issue if I do some track work?
  14. Cheers guys. About what I was figuring. Will speed up the tune too! Not sure about the intake, see when I can get that finished. Should be good for a while when its done.
  15. Thinking about how I'm getting the Fcon tuned, and more and more I'm thinking I should just go 98 for now. E85 isn't plentiful enough, 98 would just be easier. If I go that way, I'm already changing the fuel pump and filter, and I've got the wideband. Would I still need to change the injectors and/or fit a FPR for a 98 tune running the standard turbo?
  16. 25 March looks like the date, so let people know! For next time I'll organise another poll, work out what day suits. But I do like the Sunday morning blasts.
  17. Welcome to the SA Stagea owners group! Im sure you'll love the car, be good to see it out at a cruise or two. Think those are Nismo springs. Car looks like mine! Except you have leather and I have sunroofs (rooves?). Where abouts in Adelaide are you?
  18. Did you ask the guys at Uprev? I don't suppose this is a dumb question, but would this be solved at all by putting in the new injectors? Otherwise take it back to your Bro Dealer and see if he can smash it with a hammer until it's fixed?
  19. All payments have cleared and the order was placed on Sunday. The supplier had already ordered the parts, but some of them need to be made. They're expecting to receive them Monday, then ship them out to everyone. So I'd expect delivery by the end of next week. Any problems, PM me!
  20. There is a lot of info on here about M35 turbos - which I'm guessing is what you have? What state are you in?
  21. It's been a while guys, so I figured I'd start a thread and see who was keen on another cruise. I've put up the only two dates I can do in March, but if someone else wants to organise it I'm happy with that. First weekend of March is Clipsal and Rally Calder, 18 March is Grand Prix and the last weekend I'm away. So is anyone free for one of those dates? I'm thinking some tight twisty stuff up through the hills before we find a bakery.
  22. Code will tell you which one. One of mine had to be replaced before I picked up the car, so its reasonably common.
  23. Its an m35. Don't think they take the same coils. Do some searching on here to work out how to get the fault code out. once you have this it should be easy to find the problem.
  24. beetle wiring is the same right?
  25. Seem to Leon, but I haven't had a chance to try it out in the dark yet. Will do so this week. A single was great though, much better than the foggies. That was my logic too... too hard to find a new fog light, and I never used the foggies. Spotlights are much more practical. If you can figure out a circuit, that'd be great. It's not that high on my list at the moment, but the switch idea appeals.
