Lol. Thought that might be the case, so rather change them all at once, rather than repeatedly pull the front bar off Anyone at least know indicator, headlight (just normal H4 for non HID right?) and pref side indicators?

Injector Upgrade Info - Id1000
bigkevracer replied to Chris-06R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I've done all my research and I'm going for a set of ID1000s shortly. Powerhouse Racing, a SAU trader, gave me the best price and info I could find. Cheaper than ebay and Injectors Online, plus they're in Australia so if you have an issue it's a bit easier. Not sure on the cost of those connectors, but worth sending Joe a PM. -
Sounds great Alex. What's the timeframe to tune then?

2 Din Headunit With Multiple Video Inputs
bigkevracer replied to bigkevracer's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Troy, do you mind sharing a bit more info about your setup? I came up with a couple of different options to achieve this today. It seems like most decks have one rear input, one rear camera input, and possibly one front input (which I don't want to use - want it all on the back). So my options are connect the TV tuner to the head unit, and... 1. CAMP2 to the camera input on the headunit (assuming the headunit can be setup to allow this), and the reverse camera into the TV tuner input switched using a +12V from the reverse lights. 2. CAMP2 to the TV tuner input switched via the TV tuner remote, and the reverse camera into the head unit as standard. 3. CAMP2 and reverse camera into some kind of switcher, which is then connected to the camera input on the headunit. Switcher could be theoretically rigged up to switch when the car was put into reverse, and I could run a switch to tell the HU to display the feed out of the switcher. Followed up on new 2DIN headunits today. Local dealer shitcanned the JVC, so that got struck off the list. Also suggested it didn't have enough inputs, even though a look through the manual made me think it did. Currently leaning towards the Blaupunkt New York 800. Not 100% on the design, but functionally looks awesome, great value, every feature I want, and a great price. I look at the Blau and don't really understand where the price difference is with other solutions. Although the Alpine looks like, on paper, it'd have a lot better audio quality. -
Locked Clarion Headunit - Unlock?
bigkevracer replied to bigkevracer's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Was speaking to a few places today, looks like I'll give Clarion warranty another shot. I was certain I had the code right, and apparently there have been reports of Clarion decks 'forgetting' the security code. I'll chase it up with them and see if they'll do anything. I remember back when I was in high school, we had a laptop computer program. Macs running the latest and greatest MacOS 7.5.3 system. A few of the geeks ran password protection, and quickly found if you had a space in your password, the password would become corrupted and your computer would have to be formatted to get it unlocked and working again. Seems like times haven't changed too much... -

Make me want a PM35 too! There were some car covers available on ebay from the states a couple of months back, but they don't seem to be available now. I should get one, car sits outside most of the time. -

As per your other thread, you're after the SPF2849K kit - let me know if you want to order one. Sounds like it's fairly common. -
SuperPro told me they don't make piano's for M35s. Shit out of luck. That would make sense about OEM bushes though. Thanks Paul, they do make strut bar to chassis mount kits. That we can do Were you wanting on on the GB too Paul, or did you find another source for your kit?

2 Din Headunit With Multiple Video Inputs
bigkevracer replied to bigkevracer's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Sounds good Troy. I guess I could be overcomplicating, but how does the deck determine the audio source? Ideally I'd like to play DVDs, CDs, TV, etc, with the input being displayed on the external screens and the audio being outputted to the speakers, while the headunit screen displays the CAMP2 input. The only other issue with this setup I can see is the CAMP2 input will probably require the video block to be unlocked, so I'll need something that is easy to unlock. I don't really want anything too fancy. Found the JVC KW-AVX846NAV today that seems decently priced for what it is (can be had locally for ~$1k - http://www.ryda.com.au/JVC-KW-AVX846NAV-In-Dash-Nav-DVD-Player-p/kwavx846nav.htm), and includes DVD, GPS, Bluetooth, iPod, etc. Which one are you running Troy? Unfortunately the M35 is notorious for not conforming to most of the standards required by those ECU reading apps, but it does work with CAMP2 and Informeter. Main reason for CAMP2 is I've already bought a MAP sensor and temp sensor - I also want oil pressure, better off running it all through either Fcon or CAMP2 than getting a standalone sensor for Informeter. Although by the time I get my act together CAMP3 will probably be out... -
Locked Clarion Headunit - Unlock?
bigkevracer replied to bigkevracer's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Good point Troy, was thinking about reducing it anyway. Other side is it helps new guys work out what to shop for, but they ask anyway... I did pick up the phone and call Clarion to try and sort this. They've been helpful identifying the shortcomings of their headunits, however in this case it was simply 'Remove the headunit and mail it to us'. I've got the local repairer working on it and is going to call me back, but they told me they didn't have the jig to fix it so they're looking for an alternative (they haven't looked at it yet - it's still in the car). I'm inclined to remove it, and either repair it and sell it, or sell it for someone else to fix, since I wasn't 100% on it. Just hadn't made my mind up about replacing it yet. -
For the FWD ones? I'd imagine thats not the price for the eccentric ones - if it is gimme! Neither of those names line up to the SuperPro catalogue Dale and Paul - is it Strut Bar To Chassis Mount Kit - SPF2849K or Control Arm Lower-Inner Bushing - SPF3298K?
-
Jase, feel free to chase it if you want. But I don't think you'll be able to get the price down low enough to tempt me yet. The way things have worked out, I'm pretty happy so far, and suspect when the braided lines and Motul fluid go in I'll be very happy. That, and the DBA Clubspec T3 disks look sexy! I probably won't replace mine until the disks need replacing. Unless you get cheap enough!

Superpro Potential Group Buy

Exactly the same kits, still SuperPro, same part number, same everything except supplier. And yes, direct post deal is in the previous post! $12 direct, so your bloody polar bears can breathe easy! -
Most sets of 350Z brembos seemed to be around the $600-800 mark when I was looking. Check out Japan then compare to here and the states. Personally I'd be going the Akebonos if anything. SO sex, and by the time you add up cost of lines, rotors, etc, it doesn't work out too expensive.
