  1. Does anyone know if the standard M35 ECU can 'learn'? After I changed the exhaust and dump I saw a massive increase in performance. On the dyno it looked to be 30kW and an extra 3PSI boost. Turbo starts to spool up now at around 2250rpm. Then I fitted the pod, and on the Informeter saw I was running the injectors at 100% by about 6000rpm. Then I fitted the HDI intercooler, and it seemed like it lost a bit, spooled up later, and was a bit more sluggish. I figured this was the lag introduced by having a bigger intercooler to fill. Then I dumped the Valvoline oil, replaced it with Motul 300v, drove the car around 300km, and then let the car sit in the driveway for about 10 days. Driving it on the weekend, it appears that the injectors are no longer hitting 100%, and the turbo is starting to spool at 2250. Sluggishness seems to have gone away, and it feels as good as it used to. Would this be the ECU reacting to the mods, and relearning/retuning itself? Or would it be something else?
  2. But you'd be changing the filter without changing the oil... would you really want to do that? I think I'd rather stick with my 5000k changes, depending on what the Motul looks like when I drop it.
  3. Geeze anyone would think you were working on commission for me Scotty! PM sent Andrew.
  4. Craig uses the Neo - think Cam might be too now? I've just put the Motul 300v in, seems fine, not really much different?
  5. What scotty said! I was just going to get the map sensor, but it isn't necessary. Get the harness wired in and a tune, done! If youre in vic you can get cihan to tune it for you.
  6. No M35 owners looking for a proven tuning option on the cheap?
  7. 13th is winning? DAMN! I'm supposed to be in Melbourne for Rally Victoria... c'mon people, 20th FTW!
  8. Aren't we all funny bastards tonight?! I'd think you'd be better off getting rid of the cat in the dump pipe, going with a nice new dump that actually flows, and putting a high flow cat in the Kakimoto pipe? And no Jase, no cat sensor!
  9. Spotted a black C34 at Tyres and More on Prospect Road Friday morning... again! Spotted a black C34 (Different one?) just off Prospect Road Friday night. Looking at the rear wing I'd say it could be Ruby's old one?
  10. Hi Nathan. Still for sale. I haven't tested it, as I never fitted it. Worked for previous owner. I'm happy to take it back if it doesn't work, but I have no way of testing it without fitting it
  11. You getting a cat in there somewhere?
  12. Prob not... But then I didnt spend hundredes... Or hundreds... Got my BC BRs in and setup, but will have to play with it again to get it right. Hard to judge when your wheels are a metre inboard... NEED MOAR OFFSET! Rear DBA Clubspec rotors went in, and QFM HPX pads. Washed the dirty wench, gave the exhaust a polish. Found Wurth Intensive Rim Cleaner cleans up the titanium well! Filled up with 100 octane e10 at United, bloke tells me I need to try e85 in my "sports car"... Didnt put the toe arms in. Will get them fitted when I get it aligned. As soon as I work out where to take it.
  13. Got my rears in and setup today. Still need to make the rear about 10mm lower to match the front. But feels good! Still a bit of squat when you put your foot down, but a lot less! Forgot about the washers, not sure whether to put some in or leave it. And I have no idea how you guys do this stuff at home. Without a hoist and air tools itd take me forever!
  14. Im putting adjustable rear toe arms on tomorrow if you want to check it out? No camber adjustment though.
  15. I think ARX was 14PSI stock? Im running 15PSI, no boost control yet, just less restrictive exhaust/dump.
  16. I think it's fairly accurate, but it's only 1bar (14.5 PSI)... Depends on what you're planning on doing to the car, whether you'd need stuff like oil temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure, etc.
  17. Do you want gauges or just the information? You could go informeter?
  18. Cant make it this time, but keep us posted for next time, keen on both!
  19. Is that because of work?
  20. Ok put me down.
  21. Still for sale, someone else just backed out and it's on the market! Cheapest Emanage on SAU! Get on it!
  22. I have for sale a Greddy Emanage Ultimate with a universal harness. Bought this second hand, apparently pulled from an R33 and has an RB25 map on it. Harness looks unused. Selling as my plans have changed and I'm now using a standalone. Looking for $400, happy to post. Currently in Adelaide. Get a bargain!
  23. Looking at adding extra sensors to my Informeter looks EXPENSIVE! To give you an idea, as far as I can tell you need: 16401701 - sensor adapter 16401703 - pressure sensor harness 16401704 - temp sensor harness 16401304 - Replacement sensor - coolant/oil temp sensor 16401301 - Replacement sensor - turbo boost sensor 16401303 - Replacement sensor - fuel/oil press sensor Most run ~$100 each! Something to think about, depends on what you want to be able to check.
  24. Depending on the weekend I'm keen. November is a bit of a train wreck for me.
