  1. Leave them in! As said above, you don't need to remove the single din gauges, and it could effect resale. Go for the factory look. I can take some pics of mine if you want.
  2. Dunno... its been unstickied...
  3. Tried to finish installing this after work today. Discovered the reason I was having trouble with the thermo fan last night in the dark was HDI supplied the wrong nuts One issue left and Im done... I cant get the hot side pipe (the short one) into the stock pipe and done up. Any ideas/tips? Cam suggested not lubing it but that doesnt seem to be helping.
  4. SMSs remind me of Sideways Automotive...
  5. What have you got in there now? I've replaced one light, and am about to replace a second, with Narva Compac 100 spotlights with HID conversions using the standard fog light mounts. For blanking plates, PM Ironpaw, think he has/will soon have some spares?
  6. Depends which one. I think mine was 350Z/early X-trail? Just needs a surround to mount it up to the standard bolt holes. Not sure on standard resolution, just know they're NTSC. Ask Brad or Leon, they'll know for sure.
  7. I'd understand running stockies in the back in a coupe perhaps, but this is a Stagea, and I was planning on replacing the rears because I have passengers from time to time and I also have some buzzing from the rear speakers (hence replacing the lot). I don't really thing I have anywhere in Adelaide I can try Rainbow, Morel or Audison. I'm not sure how much I should spend for something that sounds nice. Doesn't have to be huge dollars usually. Initially I was looking at JL Audio C3650 for front and rear, but by the time I bought a suitable amp it seemed like similar money, not including the install and deadening.
  8. Looks good. Should check out my reverse camera. Not installed yet, but it's wireless and replaces one of the number plate lights with the camera and an LED. Not quite the right size, needs an adapter made up as it's designed for a 350Z and is a bit too small. I had a busy weekend, but still found some time for some Stag love. First, I removed the airbox and test fitted a pod filter. The definite pro is that it makes plenty of room for a catch can, and flows more air. The con is that it now maxes out the injectors, and I need to check the intake temps. Not sure at this stage if it's worth keeping or not, but if I keep it I'll be replacing the temporary K&N filter with something non-oiled. Today I started fitting the HDi intercooler. Underestimated how quickly it would get dark, and ended up trying to fit it in the dark. Not fun. Stopped for the night and will continue tomorrow, with the epic battle between myself and the standard hot-side intercooler hose New thermo fan doesn't exactly attach up as per the instructions either, but I'll play with it tomorrow in the light and work it out.
  9. I've got pretty much what you're looking for, except I have a single DIN DVD headunit with a fold out 7" screen and one of Leon's HDTV tuners wired into the stock TV tuner... I'm not sure why you'd want two separate units? My headunit is then wired to the stock screen and two headrest screens in the back. Looks good, works well (besides a couple of warranty issues with the headunit), and plays CDs/DVDs/MP3s/MP4s/DivX/Bluetooth/iPod/etc. Only other thing you could possibly want is Blu-ray, and it's pretty hard to get as far as I could tell. And best of all, looks almost stock! I think Brad is being a bit pessimistic there. I'm thinking you could fit a decent sized amp in each side, and am thinking of hooking an amp in the right hand side. Recently I had one of the Focal low profile subs recommended to me, which will fit in the spare wheel well, or possibly in the side?
  10. ebay? Yahoo Auctions Japan... check Import Monster's web site then check price with them and Streeter before bidding.
  11. Bit of an experiment, fitted a K&N pod filter to the stag today. Needs some brackets to hold it in place but does the job, checking the Informeter readouts. Should also give me room for the catch can. Tomorrow will fit the HDi Intercooler I got from Cam (Thanks mate - looks great!).
  12. Mine plugs into the ODB connector on my M35 Stagea and picks up all factory sensors (except maybe boost - but my factory boost sensor needs repairing). Only reason I have to run external sensors is so I can get oil temp and oil pressure, which I don't have stock sensors for. Mine displays pretty much everything else, including but not limited to gear, revs, speed, ignition timing, AFM voltage, water temp, injector %, fuel consumption, etc. You can also do more with it if you set it up, I just haven't spent long enough dialing it in.
  13. Well it uses the factory sensors, and any others require a separate Greddy sensor harness and sensors. I have no idea if you could use the Greddy sensor harness with third party sensors unfortunately, and can't really try it as I don't have any to test. Hopefully that gives you some extra info? Not sure if you can find a retailer who can help you with that question?
  14. Sure, why not. When were you thinking?
  15. I'm pretty under the pump in Oct/Nov, but once I've got a route sorted then we can get it happening. Unless I just plot it on Google and don't bother driving it, but thats got problem written all over it...
  16. After seeing slippy's wheels tonight I think I'm going to go that way... 18x9 +30s, right? Perfect stance to me with those 45 profile tyres!
  17. Looked rich on the dyno but still made power. Better get that tune mate!
  18. If anyone's after rotors, GSL are having a sale: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/378654-dba-stagea-and-gtr-rotors-on-special/page__pid__6037978#entry6037978 Some cheap DBA 4000 slotteds for M35s, not sure about C34s?
  19. WTF? What's causing that? Sounds crook...
  20. I'll check it again in the light of day, because the pole didn't seem to be telescoping right either.
  21. Rather than start a new thread, thought I'd just ask here. I did a fair bit of research, and ended up dealing with a mob that were recommended on CAA. They recommended the following for my Stag: Front components: Focal 165KR Rear co-axials: Focal 165CVX Amplifier: Hertz HDP4 Another option was to leave the standard rears and go with Focal 165KRX2 (200W vs 160W). Has anyone used any of those and got any suggestions/feedback? 165KRs seem to get rave reviews, and the amp seems to have the power to run everything.
  22. Just picked up a cargo net from slippylotion. Really thrilled to go to fit it and find that Northshore have put the child anchor points in line with the rear cargo net mount Dunno whether to call Ben and tell him (at least they won't do it to anyone elses), remove them or just not worry about it.
  23. I usually just go to import monster and search for m35 or nm35 and wade through the results. Don't know if thats what everyone else does but seems to work for me?
  24. Unwanted attention from the police? What state are you in?
