  1. The NM35s are the series 1 Stageas with the turbo 2.5 V6. I find that if I babied it, I could get around 11l/100. At the moment I average out at 12.4 for a mix of driving, but the turbo power and comfort make up for it. The PNM35s are the series 2 with the 3.5 n/a V6, and I have no idea about economy. Alex on here has one, and theres another couple floating around. Remember these arent light cars, so you will get an economy hit, but 11-12s arent bad i dont think.
  2. I have the Clarion VZ400A, which is the single DIN version of last year's model, and it's really quite good. There are two issues with it that I haven't been able to resolve with Clarion though: If an iPod is connected to the USB input, I can't select AV-IN (my HDTV tuner) If I try to play a video on the iPod it plays the audio from the iPod video, and the video from AV-IN Other than that, which I'm hoping to resolve soon, it's a great unit. In terms of looks, it doesn't stand out at all, and it does everything fine. Bought it from Autobarn, although their after sales support is terrible if you don't get them to install it. Was also cheap, and sounds pretty good.
  3. I've got the Stoptech lines to go in mine shortly, I think they're the same ones that Ironpaw is running. Look like good quality to me, although I would have preferred the kind with the plastic sleeve over the top, like these: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Goodridge-Carbon-Brake-Lines-Nissan-350Z-Brembo-03-06-/300555167715?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45fa7be7e3 Can't wait to get them on, either this weekend or next!
  4. Standard dump has a cat in it. Which then connects to a mid pipe... with a cat in it... and the massive box of baffles. If you really want to keep the Nismo rear I'd do dump and mid pipe. But you should see a huge gain just doing dump and midpipe. Andrew at AM Performance designed his exhaust so that it matches up to the factory mounting locations, so you can buy a dump and midpipe and it should be easy to connect to the Nismo muffler. Or just get him to do it, either way.
  5. not yet anyway...
  6. I can't see why it would. My Nismo wing just screws into the back hatch, where the two black tabs are.
  7. I was wondering if that gear would fit. There are two very different designs to the camber arms though, any idea which is better and allows better adjustment? There are a couple of different ones like this: http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=2806&Car_Type=G35&UID=20110927144952203.217.18.103 http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=4358&Car_Type=G35&UID=20110927144952203.217.18.103 Or this... These ones seem slightly cheaper: http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=858&Car_Type=G35&UID=20110927144952203.217.18.103 http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=895&Car_Type=G35&UID=20110927144952203.217.18.103
  8. Funny, I remember it being in one of those government pamphlets when E10 first came out as being on the 'do not use' list. Maybe it was just paranoia on their behalf? I never bothered to double check it, just didn't use it.
  9. Yeah but only small stuff so it doesnt matter.
  10. No thats based on pressure measured on the dyno. Stock is 12 psi, on sausa dyno day was showing 15. Scotty drilled his banjo out and i think he was running stupid amounts of boost without it going bang?
  11. I gained 3 psi which seems fine. If youre that worried about your turbo drill out the banjo and you should be fine?
  12. So send it to Melbourne and get it couriered from there? Otherwise if youre stuck ask Import Monster?
  13. I wouldnt think so. Comes across as a joke to me, as if "send me an extra special one that doesnt break down because i live a long way away", rather than "send me an extra one in case it breaks". Just some innocent, light hearted banter.
  14. Except that iOS is based on MacOS X, which is based on BSD, which is almost the same as Linux (although it could be argued the BSD core is more stable). New Microsoft tablets look good. But I like a neater install than a tablet tacked onto the dash.
  15. ^^ this Mine all light up when the ignition gets turned on, including the 4WD light.
  16. lol. Well I'm pretty busy in November, but I'll see what I can do. Someone else can organise an October/November one if I don't get there in time?
  17. Come check mine out then. I do want to see your radiator and trans cooler. Was going to look on sunday but you piked!
  18. Ok cool, might start working out a route on the weekend then, depends how I go with fitting everything. And for all those talkers at the beginning of the thread, there are now two spots free on the SAUSA track day if anyone is keen. I'll be out there. Anyone who's a SAUSA member should check out the member events thread.
  19. That's what I read yesterday, Iain would be able to tell you for sure since I'm pretty sure he wrecked one. Did you check out this thread? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/255109-m35-stereo-lots-of-piccies/page__hl__speaker
  20. The thread I was looking at yesterday said there was a cross brace in the way, but it could be possible? Apparently the Bose amps fit under the toolkit, so I'm hoping normal aftermarket ones do too.
  21. Well if we want to do another cruise, I'm thinking early December, who would be keen for a twistier drive through the hills?
  22. Not necessarily... could be anything from needing to be bled to the relay being faulty. Why not bleed the system and go from there?
  23. good point. Informeter is plug and play into the odb port. Too easy!
  24. I find the 100 to be similarly priced to Ultimate. I think the E10 does corrode in older cars. R31s are on the list of cars that cant run E10 (without upgrading the fuel lines), but modern cars are fine.
  25. I couldn't work out NSW, never bothered. I was thinking something like this for the sub: http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/products/25/131/201/TS-WX610A/index.html That way it's all hidden and I still have my boot!
