  1. Ordered a set of Stoptech braided lines. Thanks Ironpaw for the advice. My DBA 4000 T3 rotors are getting made, should be here in just over a week. Then just need brake fluid and I'm ready to finish my brake upgrade! Ordered the TransGo shift kit. Just have to fill up and I'm ready for dyno day tomorrow! Almost ready for my Gymkhana trip, probably order BCs, fit them up then get it wheel aligned and the adjustable toe arms fitted. Also looking at getting Brad to help me put in a pair of headrest monitors for my back seat passengers. Good week for the Stag, despite NOTHING getting fitted! Exciting!
  2. It would be worth asking Streeter if you had something else you could drive around in. Go see Tonkins. They said theyd measure up and make sure it fit 100%. If you go find out part number amd how much because Ill want one before summer, might order two at trade price. See what they say.
  3. Dads a diesel mechanic, workshop at Dry Creek. He has a shed out the back he uses for his rally cars, with a hoist. Thats where I do my stuff. Im not going to stuff around. Im sure he can do it, he just might not want to. If so Ill call MV.
  4. The remote is fairly common, the Radcam's have those. So if you're specifically after that, you still have a choice! I think the POV does too, but that's a fair bit dearer. Something to think about with the Radcam and POV type camera is it has the camera head on a cable to the body, so you can mount the camera almost wherever you like internally (and even externally to an extent) and have the body with the controls next to you. Radcam comes in a kit with the heavy duty mounts, suction and roll bar, so you're all ready to go out of the box. So it's a bit dearer but you also don't need to worry about anything else.
  5. Well obviously us being in Adelaide, Craig's just going to fit it to his exchange VB, or yours if you send it up, and you have to install it in the car (which still looks like a shit job...). I wouldn't think you'd need a warranty with Craig, but if the shit hit the fan I'm sure you'd get looked after.
  6. Yep I've got oil. I'm hopeful it won't go wrong! What's the go with your changeover version? You do the hard core valve body modding and we just fit it? Backup plan if dad doesn't want to do it is get someone like MV Automatics to do it. No idea what they'd want to do it though.
  7. I ordered mine. Wasn't going to but you mentioned Paypal and I knew I had money left in my account... Guess I better suck up to dad to give me a hand too... looks like a bitch of a job!
  8. Tonkins Radiators: http://maps.google.com.au/maps/place?oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=tonkins+radiators&fb=1&gl=au&hq=tonkins+radiators&hnear=0x6ab735c7c526b33f:0x4033654628ec640,Adelaide+SA&cid=3049454971769360021 Just out of interest, see if you can get the Capricorn price out of them. If not, PM me the details and I'll give them a call.
  9. That sheet says NM35... are you sure they've set it up right? I wouldn't think C34 would be the same?
  10. $500 for fitting including the fluid isn't that bad I wouldn't think? And I've had no issues with the Valvoline trans fluid, just make sure they're using the Maxlife version, as that is the Matic J compatible one. Anyone got a link for the fitting instructions? There are videos on the web site but I can't find the exact fitting instructions. If it's not too bad I'll just get dad to do it. I take it this is where the price difference comes in for Craig's changeover VB. Worth it if it's going to be a hassle!
  11. Since you're in Adelaide, did you just call someone like Tonkins or Adrad? Adrad are Koyo dealers too. Although I'm rapidly finding out that even with trade accounts a lot of this stuff is cheaper overseas...
  12. I thought Scotty was stuffing around with a cable throttle because he needed it for the ECU?
  13. I'm not sure. I've got V35 toe arms for mine to go in, and apparently they're the same, so I'm sure camber arms would be. Daleo was saying the other day in another thread that he'd heard the Ichiba stuff wasn't great quality though. Are those two arms you provided actually to replace the same part? They're both different shapes? I have heard some good things about the Megan Racing stuff, apparently their shocks are rebadged BCs and a lot of their stuff is made in Taiwan (which isn't necessarily a bad thing these days). Shipping is a bit of a killer on the Megan Racing ones though!
  14. Sooo... Iain... you'd have a spare stock BOV now, right? Castor arm bushes are those poly bushes Craig was doing, right? Were yours just shagged or are the poly ones that much different?
  15. Sounds good. When are your injectors going in?
  16. You still going to Dyno Day Dunc? Any idea what you'll put out?
  17. 'Always works'? He told me you have to solder it up every couple of months... Scotty put a good writeup on how to fix it on here, I just keep forgetting about it.
  18. Dunc does if you want to check them out on a local car. Like Josh said, they're pretty easy to get on IM. Always a set there.
  19. That looks suspiciously like Andrews shed. If you keep him busy my exhaust will NEVER get done!
  20. Go Pro has it's place. Ken Block uses them extensively for Gymkhana because they don't have a remote box, so they're easier to mount around the place. It all depends on what you're planning on doing with it, where it'll be mounted, will it be permanently mounted, etc. I'm your SA RaceRecall.com dealer, so Radcam mainly, and I have a couple you can try out if you'd like. I have heard some good things about the Drift HD and we should be getting those soon too. Heard interesting things about the Contour too, but no experience with them so far. PM me if you want to check out the Radcam.
  21. How do you get done for a turbo timer if you haven't got one? Or for factory xenon headlights?
  22. Yup. Was on the previous page. You need a G35 or V35. Click back a page and you'll find all the discussion about it.
  23. I didn't think so. I actually figured in a car this new it'd be harder to alter the k's than this.
  24. Isn't Aaron running close to 300 on 98? What do you think you'd need to make over 250 safe on 98? V Pro and cable throttle?
