  1. Easy, thanks. Didn't get a chance today, will be a weekend job! Also I just realised, that cluster on IM will suit someone without the Xanavi screen, as I think it'll be the same as Iain's, which means the leaf won't work (although you might not care).
  2. I finally remembered to ring Andrew today, and he'll send me group buy details tonight. In answer to another question I had, the cat installed in mine is a 200cpi metal cat. Should get my new muffler in the next 2 weeks (assuming I get time to go round and get it fitted), but I have no doubt it'll be all sorted before group buy orders start happening. Watch this space
  3. I'm looking at getting new disks for my car, rather than seeing if I can machine the standard ones. Just wondering what other people are running? GSL supply RDA and DBA rotors, and looking at DBA, probably in either slotted or cross drilled. Obviously the more you spend the better performance you're going to get, but I think with most things you get to a point where spending more money isn't worthwhile on a road car. I've always heard that cross drilled rotors are a bad idea for street use, but DBA say this is no longer the case, and they've found the same or increased pad life with their new cross drilled XS rotors. Like to hear other peoples experiences, although I'm pretty sure any decent slotted rotor will be fine.
  4. So does that mean if a 30mm spacer would fit under the bonnet you'd do it? I'm thinking if the engine cover fits back over the engine with the spacer installed, I should be able to fit a spacer and a strut brace no problems. Hopefully we'll find out tonight
  5. That's what I usually do Cam, although lately I've been lazy and just gone off the Xanavi. I was ballparking off Syd's figures.
  6. Why 19mm? Is there a reason for that size?
  7. 350-400kms on 3/4 of a tank isn't that bad. 3/4 of a tank is ~60L, that's 15-17L/100Km, which is what I get when I behave I can get mine down to 12-14L/100 on a trip, but general city/highway average is 15-17L/100.
  8. You have to book tickets through www.ticketmaster.com.au now, tickets are free but limited.
  9. I like your thinking Big Fella! Aaron, a couple/few of us are heading over for the Ken Block Gymkhana World Tour Extravaganza at Calder that weekend, so we'd be keen for something on the Sunday, unless you wanted to organise a cruise to Calder on the Saturday...
  10. lol... funny... that was the easy part of my suggestion... the hard part was getting them to change their attitudes/approach. Plenty of scientific data from overseas to back you up though.
  11. If anyone is after a cheap cluster, there's one on IM at the moment... http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/148883691&thumb=http://f6.auctions.c.yimg.jp/img341.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/8/4/9/8/ssgmgoo-thumb-1307581850878906.jpg&title=NM35%20NISMO $178 should get it here landed for around $270. Also anyone got the easy way to pull off the indicator and wiper stalks? I haven't worked it out
  12. Nah Craig told me to ditch it ages ago, as it traps too much heat apparently. I'll let everyone know once it's on. I'm hoping room for the plenum spacer and strut brace. Fingers crossed!
  13. Got my alarm fitted on the weekend, picked it up Monday. Took longer than expected, but it's working now, ah well. Surprised to find the mirror covers with LED indicators were scotch locked in. Got disturbed during install and disconnected my LH indicators Installer found it though so it's all good. I'm thinking the best way to do alarms and immobilisers in these things is to replace all the scotch locks and dodgy wiring on the factory unit then install an aftermarket Australian standard one. This is how GT Autosound do it and this way you get to keep cool stuff like your mirrors dipping and folding in, and the interior light turning on when you unlock the car. Pretty happy with the end result though, even if it is a bit more simple. My Freeway Dolphin strut brace has arrived at work, but I'm holed up at home for a couple of days. Might have to swing past and pick it up tomorrow, then work out if I have room for a plenum spacer and the strut brace, or choose between the two. Next mod almost definitely a set of BCs. Can't stand the ride as it is now. Rotors, intercooler and spot lights are also high on the priority list.
  14. Bugger that. I'd rather drive during the day Friday then get on the cans Friday night!
  15. Anyone going to Calder for Gymkhana World Tour?
  16. Its the brake sensor wire. It was covered in a thread the other week.
  17. Again? WHY? I thought your partner intelligently talked you round and you were keeping it?
  18. Noises only on gravel, not on tarmac? I haven't noticed any weird noises, but then again I didn't mangle the install One Walbro going to flow enough for those 1000cc injectors? Only ask because I'm just thinking back to what Scotty's weapon of mass fuel destruction looked like for his 1000cc injectors. His was for e85 though.
  19. Not before you get mine sorted! Clarion is begging for a fix!
  20. It isn't that hard to get into the upper house. BUT does that help at all? What I think we really need is someone into the major parties, and get them on the right track. The major parties are where the action is, people only talk to the minor parties when they need something. And if we get a majority government, they won't need the independents/minors. Probably harder to get preselection into a major party and get them to change their attitudes than get into the upper house as an independent/minor, but I'm starting to think it's worth trying...
  21. Highlight of my car! Girlfriend keeps giving me shit about it, telling me I'll get defected for having an out of date flare... should try and buy a new one to shut her up
  22. Spotted a silver C34 in the Albion car bar... it's for sale too!
  23. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/328278-mv35-front-wheel-bearing/page__hl__wheel+bearing
  24. I won't be putting heaps of K's on, hoping that once Mike has worked it out, I'll get mine back this week. Since mine is currently locked up at an alarm installers and can't come out to play, timing works out well And Brad, I got your smug SMS, making us look at the front fuse and all
  25. I has 2WD... And it's raining... Finally think we've worked out that the issue with Mike's car is the ATTESA relay under the airbox (shut up Brad ). His relay is causing a 4WD fault light on my car, so that gives us a pretty good idea, but will know for sure when he sticks my relay in his car.
