  1. Get a room you two!
  2. AXIS just has S-tune doesn't it?
  3. Few guys have used www.streettotrack.com lately, and they're cheaper than just jap for bcs.
  4. What use is that link?
  5. Keep it. You know you want to! Can you still take it out to the skid pan with no license? I figured you probably could if someone else drove it out there??
  6. First response was O'Briens. Try them. The OP asked about replacing his windscreen, not a new one. Easy mistake to make.
  7. Not yet, but if you're interested I'll call up tomorrow and see where we're at. I need an update on my muffler anyway.
  8. I think AXIS is the same as any other NM35, so you should be fine with the BCs. I know what you mean with tyres, found the same thing when I bought a car with 17" 35 series. Awful ride. Hated it. I'll be putting 18s or 19s on mine, the biggest I can use while maintaining 40-45 profile. Funny thing is my parents have an Audi they bought with 19" 35 profile tyres, and the ride is fine.
  9. Council are complaining so drop to $1500 FIRM without any of the uninstalled parts (6x9s, steel wheels and filter). Will also consider offers on the 15" Bluebird SSS wheels, which are in great condition and were sandblasted and polished prior to fitment of the tyres and fitting to the car.
  10. I don't think you can really get a great picture of it without being here... I think Mike Rann watches A Current Affair and Today Tonight, sees what issues he can overblow today, and pounce on them. Some of this 'hoon driving' could be solved by building an island in the middle of some roads so they're not so donut-friendly. Or building a drag strip where the Commodore Crowd can take out their frustrations. That seems to be the biggest issue; drag races. To solve this, instead of going out to accident blackspots or well known 'hoon' hangouts, they go to where they know they can catch 50+ people doing 5k over the limit and make their quotas. It's insane. The Rann government got 48% of the vote at the last election, and I'm pretty sure that's on a two party preferred basis, yet they still won based on seats. So he continues. We can only hope this gets overturned like his big crack down on bikies, which has now been overturned in the federal court and Mike just looks like a total dick. I think one of the letters to the editor said it best this week in the Adelaide Advertiser... he's so hell bent on creating a legacy that he doesn't care how much we'll have to pay for it!
  11. I have a Pimptara for sale I could run it over with... Thanks Chris. Siren removal is my next job. After my super secret intake squirrel business. And lunch.
  12. Just got a quote from Paul, he's down to $1155 for the BC BRs. Got to love this dollar at the moment! 10 days delivery. At that price, why would you buy V1s from Just Jap? They want $1149! I need to do mine sooner rather than later, it just wallows awfully. Really ruins the great effect of the swaybars
  13. Happy birthday Scott! Now go fire up the GTX to celebrate!
  14. I know, I know. I've booked it in to be removed and replaced with Auto Perfection, a SAUSA sponsor. Sounds like they've got a decent rep in the SA section, should be fine. I called another recommended place, and they wanted to leave the stock alarm in and fix it before installing an aftermarket system, and as a result couldn't give me a firm price. Didn't like the sound of that. The only problem is the earliest I could get in was next weekend, so that still leaves me looking for a temporary solution. What issues would I cause disconnecting the siren? Be a hell of a lot easier than dealing with disconnecting the battery constantly... Another suggestion I got was change the horn fuse, since that was where it was suggested it drew its power from. Any thoughts would be great, so I can stop locking it with the bonnet open, then disconnecting the battery...
  15. Heat matting/turbo blanket going to be sufficient that close to the chassis? Or you going to run into heat issues?
  16. Ok so I got back from Melbourne, and after a week with the car battery disconnected, it seemed fine when I reconnected the battery, parked it out the front, and left it there for 2.5 hours. Then I went for a drive, around 20 minutes, parked for half an hour or so, then drove back, another 20 minutes or so. Parked it in my drive way, was fine for another hour or so, then it went off. So I disarmed it (although the buttons on the remote seemed to have bugger all effect, i.e. pushing unlock didn't stop it from going off), then rearmed it. It went off again. So I disarmed/unlocked it, and left it. Within 5 minutes it went off again. Despite being unlocked/disarmed. In the end the only way to get it to stop going off permanently was to disconnect the battery. Even then it gave a pathetic chirp once, which could have been death throws as the capacitors drained. So if its going off regardless of whether it's armed or disarmed, is there any fix besides battery disconnect? Leon: I haven't tested the battery yet, but I will on the weekend. I find it hard to believe it could be the battery if there are no other issues though. Cranks and fires fine, no obvious issues whatsoever. Will test regardless though.
  17. Mmmm... So when will it get fired up for the first time?
  18. No one? Bueller... Bueller... This HAS to go. Make me an offer! Will consider parting out if people are interested in the seats (and can provide originals), wheels or speakers. I don't think you'll find anything else as reliable or well sorted for the money!
  19. I've just fitted these to an M35 Stagea and the difference is incredible. Very worthwhile improvement for any V35 or M35. Good luck with the sale!
  20. Hint hint... PM Sent!
  21. Yep. Tell her your eldest child has to come out for a cruise for the day
  22. Least there's plenty of room for oil in the boot!
  23. Ok so if he can't do them for less than $140 there's no point. He did say fibreglass was much easier though, because you could sand it down and clean it up and you don't have to worry about the weave, so I'd expect them to be cheap. Remember you'd have to paint them too... I think you and Dale are possibly the only two people, but I figured it might be worth chasing anyway to see if it was worthwhile, even for just the two of you. Hardly going to be a profitable venture...
  24. I know theres a few people chasing these, and I've found someone in Adelaide who can make replicas of these for us off my standard originals. There would potentially be a choice between fibreglass and carbon fibre at different prices. I don't have the quote yet, but what I want to know from people is... Are you interested? Carbon fibre or fibreglass? How much are you prepared to pay? I don't remember how much these were available from the Russians for, but I'd like to get a ballpark and an idea of interest to see if this is worthwhile.
