  1. Radcam should be fine, depending on the car. Go Pros can sometimes be better for external stuff because they're an all in one unit (except there's no screen so you can't line up a good shot ). This was filmed on a Radcam HD in the front bumper of a WRX: TV might be advanced, but if you plan towards it you can shoot shorter videos, 5-10 minutes, with the plan on combining a few of them together, then look at TV once you've got a 10 episode season together. You can also talk to some of the editors we use and get some tips. Does take a long time, but you might aim to produce one whole season over the course of the year? Who knows. Depends on how much time you've got an how seriously you want to take the project.
  2. I know Makes more sense when you have SOME figure. Although no idea what the markup is on these things. I'm just trying to say, Northshore = worth it.
  3. Was the updated part number the one Dunc quoted? 22680-6N211?
  4. www.rallysa.com.au Also www.mallala.com shows all your dates are clear. You're all fine Mark!
  5. Nah I was just going off slippylotion's figures. I have no idea what they make on their cars. Discuss your situation with Ben. Perhaps you can find the car and they'll bring it over and comply it for you?
  6. You seem to have picked 4 motorsport free weekends! Looks like I'm free for all of them, so I vote the soonest one.
  7. Who says they don't? AFAIK no one has asked Northshore to comply a car imported through someone else. They might do exactly what you suggest. It's also their reputation though, if it was my business I wouldn't want someone importing a dog then telling all their mates that my business did the compliance, or worse, "I got it through XX". Remember that $4k profit on the car also covers the time necessary to find a nice, clean car, verify everything, service it, etc. I bought my car from Northshore, and yes I probably could have saved some money buying direct from Japan, but in the end it suited me at the time. They had exactly what I wanted, in stock, at what I thought was a reasonable price. Ben bent over backwards to help me out, and I was a pain in the arse, having never bought a car from interstate before. It was easy for me, and I was prepared to pay for the convenience. At the end of the day my time is worth something, and I couldn't be happier with the result!
  8. Explain! What switch?
  9. Hmm good point, didn't think of that. Guess the size of the alarm remote isn't really an issue. Thanks Chris.
  10. I'm looking at getting Brad (ducati02) to do it. Did a great job on everything else wiring related, I can trust him to do a decent job. If he decides he doesn't want to do it, I'll probably get GT Autosound to do it. They're second on the list, heard some great reports.
  11. I got the impression from some of the comments that the thread was "pruned", so I'm guessing there was plenty more...
  12. Weird, isn't it? MAP80G has 2 point immobilisation, M80G has 3. I don't get it. Still Aus standard though. If I can keep the original buttons I will.
  13. Bayside blue GTR "V34 GTR" at Birdwood Motor Museum Sunday. VERY nice! R35 GTR parked on Victoria Square at lunch time today. Mmm...
  14. The whingers are on NS... doesn't that say it all? There was in car footage from the Stag cruise, I have it here if you want it Vu. There was no dyno runs though, not sure where that came from? I like the suggestion on NS of having a graphic with tech specs though, that'd be cool. As I said at the cruise, I have access to broadcast quality HD cameras, HD in car cameras and broadcast quality audio gear. I also have access to people if you want extra camera angles etc, and some TV connections if you want to go down that route. I like the style, I like the idea, happy to help if the help is wanted
  15. Not sure Dunc, have to call Northshore and ask if Ben will comply a private import. What a joke. Two cars, same power, weight and drive, one legal one not. Surely they have some back door to cover themselves there, so they can claim to have banned all M35s?
  16. They do, but apparently Jesse is cheaper. He's pretty easy to deal with and I think he's rates aren't too bad. Most people I know deal with Jesse. Let me know how you get on with the mats. I'm after a set too, was looking at the Nismo ones but none on Yahoo Auctions seem to be the right shape for an M35 even if they say they're for an M35...
  17. I'm going to investigate a Mongoose MAP80G, which is supposed to be a 'factory alarm upgrade'. Fingers crossed I can get it working through the factory key, like it's supposed to. See how we go.
  18. Umm... Ok... Excuse my mechanical naivity... But isnt that when temps are likely to be at their highest, and the gearbox under the most stress?
  19. If you were to import as far as I know they're the only guys in Australia approved to comply a PNM35. When do you get off your Ps? Will NSW let you drive a 206kW 4WD N/A 3.5L Stagea and not a 206kW 4WD turbo 2.5L??? That makes a lot of sense...
  20. I'm just going to tear it out, Brad and I will clean it up and fit a new one, couple of different options for replacements.
  21. I'm flying Virgin, they've decided to fly underneath it and burn more fuel. I like their style
  22. I'm guessing Liberty have their own fuel supplies, and it seems they don't have 100 octane, highest is 98. They told me late June/July they should be replenished. Fingers crossed!
  23. Cracking photo Matt! Love it!
  24. Lol ok. As above, Carlton Wed-Fri, Narre Warren Sat-Mon. If the bloody flight doesn't get cancelled Interested to see what your ride is like Jethro, with the "Silk Roads".
