  1. Can we sticky this for the next new owner who asks?
  2. I know, but if i want to watch a movie i only have on bluray, id be happy with the factory screen! Brad told me about the ntsc issue, thats the only thing im worried about with the clarion but should be ok. I hope!
  3. Read the thread in the stagea section. Theres a link in Cam's signature too.
  4. I did think about that, since my Blu-ray collection is expanding and theres no in car player. Just easier at the moment.
  5. After driving to a rally on the weekend, I topped up the tank so I'm now running about half BP Ultimate, and about half United 98 Premium (which was giving rubbish economy). Driven like a granny 90% of the time, so far 8.3km/L, looks to be 600+ km per tank. Amazing what staying off boost can do for economy!
  6. Thats what i thought, especiallu for the price. Got it for just under $500 because it was clearance. Half the cost of other decks I was looking at. I really didn't want to go without an optical drive. I have a huge CD and DVD collection, and while I have all my CDs on my iPod, I don't fancy ripping all my DVDs. But if I didn't want a DVD player it looks like a good option. The Sony with the storage draw is cool.
  7. Rip it out and replace it! You can buy the required dash parts and convert it over. If you're lucky Iain might have them.
  8. Andrew is supposed to be emailing them to me, have to call him. He's building me a rear muffler to sort the epic noise issue. Gf is sick of it and I'm loosing my hearing! You can keep your gauges if you go fold out single din, and rout the screen output to that screen you've already got. I'll be able to use the remote so I won't need to flip the screen out. Looks like Brad has some work to do!
  9. Picked up a stereo finally. Clarion vx400a was on clearance at Autobarn. New number plates too, square rear plates suit it so much better, just a shame transport sa cant put the wholes in the right place!
  10. That's a pretty neat setup! Dunc has his Informeter there, been thinking about it... I got my rear toe arms today, shiny blue, looks the goods! Unfortunately Australia Post couldn't come through and I have to wait till next week for sway bars Ordered catch can and new brake pads, should be here Monday too. Ended up just ordering QFM HPX, for the price figured if everyone was happy with them I'd give them a go! GSL Rallysport were very easy to deal with.
  11. Haha maybe I should get her to pull your sway bars off for me Get some new tyres! Nankang's are RUBBISH! And in the wet it's like skating on steel wheels. Worst tyres this side of retreads.
  12. If by good brakes you mean bigger, i.e. bigger disks, new calipers, my understanding is they're illegal if they're not engineered. I was also of the understanding that slip on spacers were legal if they were under a certain size (maybe 10mm?) then after that you had to go bolt on. Didn't know boost controllers were illegal... is there a web site where all this stuff is detailed?
  13. I hate you so much at the moment Craig. At least I know mine are on the way!
  14. WRX is smaller though isn't it? So wouldn't be superior in every aspect. Also every WRX wagon I've been in feels cheap inside compared to the M35. M35 feels more solid, and expensive. Just a nice place to be.
  15. Yeah it's looking a bit average, but the field looks like it'll make it worthwhile.
  16. Runs Friday to Sunday this weekend. R35 GTR leading the field, plenty of modern WRXs and Evos, and some classic stuff. Worth a look if you're into rallying. Saturday starts at Penny's Hill Winery, where you can take a look at the cars. Check out www.asprally.com for more info. I'll be heading up Saturday, which is the only day the SA Rally Championship guys are running.
  17. Does that mean if this works out everyone gets membership to the awesome forum?
  18. Well what are you looking for? Northshore have a couple of nice ones. What about this? http://www.northshoreprestige.com.au/view.php/used_cars/2003_Nissan_Stagea_250tRS_Four_Black_5_Speed_Automatic_Wagon/4470193/ Also the really expensive Northshore ones are series 2, if the 3.5 N/A interests you.
  19. My car for Northshore was perfect, and granted, it was dearer than some other options I had, but the way it was specced and the condition made it worth a little bit extra. Just a really nice car, and Ben is great to deal with.
  20. Yeah I did, waiting for some pics so I can share. Oh, and waiting for a rear muffler so I can't be heard from the moon
  21. Except that two of the people are SAU members (or is it were by now?). The camera position in Billy's car was crap, but your footage was alright. Like I said, after a few cruises I might put together a compilation, but need more background/social footage I think, and less driving, which the media wants everyone to believe is always 'anti-social hoon behaviour'. I hadn't started the video yet, just reviewed the footage. I am tempted to put the dirt road stuff up for shits and giggles though!
  22. Thats what you think... Now where did i leave those keys...
  23. After speaking to a few people today, we've decided there will be no video of this cruise at this time. There isn't enough footage to put something decent together, so we'll use parts of it in a compilation later. Or just the dirt section to placate Glenn
  24. Thanks Dale, much appreciated. Just send Dunc's to my place, he won't be around to put them on anyway
  25. Really? Iain said 12kg fronts would be good. Did he say how much?
